Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Anna & Steven were wonderfully helpful throughout our stay in Galway. The B&B is very homey with some of the most fluffy and comfortable beds and robes that you will find in Europe. The food was incredible each morning and we really felt at home in the evening cuddled up on the couch watching TV. Grateful for an awesome stay, highly recommend!

We stayed here for 3 nights and I have to say it was the most comfortable and relaxing stay in a b&b that I have had experienced. The room was spotless and the bathroom was as well. The shower was most welcome after a long journey. Anna and Steven were our hosts and they were so welcoming and accommodating. Nothing was too much for them. The bed was comfortable that I want to go back straight away. The breakfast was so fresh and hearty that we skipped lunch. Wonderful people and wonderful stay. Definitely recommend this place. No doubt!!

My husband and I stayed at the Claremount House last week and had a great stay. Anna and Steven were very helpful with directions to town and suggested a perfect place for dinner. The room was a tad small but very comfortable and quiet. The shower was hot and breakfast was hearty! Everything we were looking for.

We only stayed one night but still enjoyed our time here. This place was very clean, comfy bed and had a delicious breakfast. Our hostess was very kind and informative, and even physically guided us to a restaurant so we wouldn't get lost, lol.

The Claremount House was an excellent find! Anna was a joy to talk with, an excellent source of information and helpful in setting us in motion to see the sights. She is a wonderful short order cook, with gourmet capacity in her breakfast menu. The place was very clean and comfortable. It is a place to get a good sleep and enjoy the morning Galway Bay scenery. The beds were very comfortable, a shower with great power, and rooms that well kept. The atmosphere offered a sense of being sincerely welcome and appreciated without being intrusive.

My second visit to Claremount House did not disappoint. Anna (Hostess) is so welcoming and friendly, it felt like home from home. Beds and bedding extremely comfortable which guaranteed a good night's sleep. Location excellent with view of Galway Bay. I simply loved breakfast with freshly baked bread and scones, fruit and the full Irish. I know where I'll be staying next time I visit Galway.

We found the Claremont after discovering the other B&Bs along the promenade in Salthill to be full. We're glad they WERE full. Anna is a wonderful and accommodating host. Our room was clean, welcoming, and very comfortable. And her scones (homemade) are the best we've had.

We only stayed one night. As the photographs on the website were not a true representation of the location or standard of the property, we asked to see the bedrooms before bringing in luggage. The owner queried why we needed to see the bedrooms as we would have to pay whether we stayed or not as the booking was secured by credit card! This was extremely unprofessional and intimidating. The breakfast was mediocre and served in what doubles as a living room. Cash payment only accepted despite the credit card reservation. Very expensive for the standard provided Definitely not a four star B & B and I would definitely not recommend.

We have just completed a two week tour of ireland, and stayed in some wonderful places. In comparison, this place comes at the bottom of the list. Had it not been for my partner, I would not have spent the night there. We were met by a young girl who was totally disinterested. The shower did not function properly. The food was mediocre. Photographs of the place, and the comments we have read were not representative of our experience. The host Anne, appeared in the morning to provide a barely acceptable breakfast and to receive payment "in cash only" for a most unwelcome experience, which I certainly would not want to endure ever again. I would invite the hosts comments.
