Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I pre booked a twin room in Claremount House Bed & Breakfast 2 weeks before travel date. Anna confirmed availability when I spoke to her. However on the day of our arrival I received a voicemail from her stating that she had given away our twin room and now only had a double room. My sister and I were faced with the option of taking the double or wasting our time in Galway seeking alternative accommodation. Breakfast was good.

When we arrived in the evening, we were tired & hungry! But we were immediately taken under Anna's wing & soon rejuvenated!! She drove us (in her car) to a nearby restaurant where we were able to relax & had a delicious meal. We took a leisure stroll back to the B&B & slept well in the very comfortable bed. We could tell that this B&B proprietor has had many years of experience & was a seasoned veteran! The accommodations were lovely & the breakfast was delicious--she was very nurturing & took time to patiently answer questions & help us on our journey! We would recommend this B&B, for sure!!

Anna was a lovely host and the B&B was lovely. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! It is not in central Galway so just make sure you have a car, otherwise it is very convenient to go anywhere around Galway

Anna and Stephen have a lovely B&B, and they provide the extra touches that make a stay special. I was delighted to find fluffy white bathrobes hanging behind the door after a long day's journey, and bottles of water waiting for us. In the morning, I turned over my teacup to find a chocolate surprise. These are but a few of the extra special touches that Anna provides to make her guests feel welcome and at home.

We stayed for three nights. The accommodation is spotless and room very comfortable. Beautiful fluffy white towels and bath robes. Anne is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended and will definitely return if fortunate enough to be in the area. Breakfast first class. Thanks Anne.

My husband and I stayed for one night while passing through Galway in early June. Places like this are why Ireland has such a wonderful reputation for hospitality. The owners and family are friendly, welcoming, and genuine. We felt like we were visiting a family member, who happens to have a great view, and cooks a mean Irish breakfast. Our room was elegant and clean. It was one of the best nights of sleep we had during our time on the west coast. Highly recommended!!

Anna made me feel very welcome and offered a cup of tea on arrival. Additionally she was able to provide tourist and local information which was very helpful. The room and shower room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Located a short drive outside of Galway, it is a relatively quiet location.

Anna took fantastic care of us from the moment we arrived and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very quiet and at the rear of the property. Top tip - we would recommend staying to the rear of any B&B/hotel in this area if you want peacefulness as the traffic along the Salthill prom and main Knocknacarra/Barna road can be very busy . Fantastic Irish breakfast with everything sourced from a local butcher. The Galway Bay views are brilliant from the dining room. We will definately be back - Thanks Anna!

Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Breakfasts were extremely tasty, plenty of choice, fresh fruit, homemade bread and tea or coffee with flavour. Outstanding hostess in every way. Don't miss staying here.
