The Claremount House was our first stop on our Ireland adventure and this B&B did not disappoint. Our room was comfortable and clean, and our host, Anna, delightful. We enjoyed the location which was right across from a paved walkway with Galway Bay on one side and a golf course on the other. Being outside of busy Galway was a plus and the location was easy to find. The Irish breakfast was great! WiFi was adequate for email and web browsing.

We only stayed one night but wish we had planned for more. The room was delightful, clean, comfortable and very welcoming. Anna is the loveliest of hosts and the breakfast was wonderful. The location is superb just on Salthill just outside of Galway with lovely views of the coastline. We are definitely coming back next time we are in Galway!

My wife and I returned recently from a very enjoyable 2 night stay at the Claremount House Salthill Galway. On our arrival we were introduced to the proprietors Anna and Steven Monaghan We were shown to a very delightful ground floor on suite bedroom of the highest standard. If fact we have stayed in 3 star hotels which were not of the quality we enjoyed at the Claremount. One of the advantages of staying at a guesthouse is of course the price and the personal touch provided. A breakfast menu which included homemade bread and scones with everything you could possibility want to start off your day. Simply superb. Anna couldn’t have been more helpful telling us where to have dinner and other useful information we needed to enjoy the city center 10 minutes away. We were given a

We spent only one night at this BB but we really enjoyed it! First it’s in front of the ocean in very good position, and the view is amazing. Second, the lady is so kind and polite. The place is very clean and the breakfast (that you decide the day that you arrive) is amazing, specially because you will have it with a fantastic view like that. If I will come back to Galway I will try to go stay here again, definitely.

We have spent four days and nights in Ireland before to come to the Claremont house. This bed and breakfast has been the best place we have been to so far in our tour; I couldn’t imagine no better place to spend the night in Galway! Anna is the owner of the b&b and she is the cutest and friendliest person on earth! She allowed us to check in after the check in deadline (we were tremendously late on our trip from Northern Ireland) and she made us feel immediately at ease and ‘at home’. The room was fabulous, I have never seen so high-quality and soft towels and bed sheets in my life. The breakfast was homemade and out of this world! The only thing I regret is not to have booked this room for more days! There is good WiFi connection and everything was deeply clean and

We stayed for two nights in this excellent B&B. The hosts Anna and Steven made us feel at home the minute we stepped in. What's more, they are fun people to talk to and get to know. The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is outstanding. A short walk brought us to the promenade along the sea. We took a bus to Galway town center avoiding the hassle of find parking. Bus stops near Claremount House. We would very much recommend Claremount House to anybody visiting Galway.

We spent 4 nights in this lovely B and B, and were sad when it came time to leave Anna and Steve. Anna greeted us warmly, with a cuppa and snack. Her breakfasts were lovely; it was the best brown bread I had our entire stay. It’s a great location - you can walk along the promenade in Salthill toward Galway or easily hop a bus. Spotless, comfortable, friendly, helpful. Highly recommend. ***Book directly with Anna rather than go through a third party booking. And have at least one brew at Oslo’s; great staff and food.

The room was clean and quiet, the breakfast was filling and delicious (especially the fresh berries and scones), and the location is convenient. It is not in the middle of Galway but is walking distance to Salthill restaurants. We stayed two nights and tried the nearby golf course restaurant the first night. Great food there. Ann welcomed us with tea and/or coffee when we first arrived and we eventually met the entire family so we really did feel at home. Ann and her husband were able to give us excellent advice on places to see and routes to get there.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Ann was very welcoming and greeted us with coffee and biscuits on arrival. Once we had settled in she showed us to our room which was upstairs and had a lovely view of her back garden. Everything was sparkling clean and the breakfasts were great with generous portions of everything you could want. Claremont is outside of the main centre of Galway - maybe 15-20 minutes by car - but we had our own transport and enjoyed the experience of living in a "real place" in Ireland as the B and B is set in a cul-de-sac in the outer suburbs of Galway and the neighbours waved to us when we took a trip into the city centre which was really lovely.
