I stayed in early July with my family, we were a group of 5 people. It was not my first time to Ireland but it was the first time or my brother and sister. I cannot say enough about this B&B. First the location was amazing. It was a long walk or a short taxi ride to town. The slight distance provided just the right amount of quiet. The home was spotless and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. Anna made us feel like cherished friends. I highly recommend this B&B. If you are looking for a place near Galway this is the place
Great views, clean rooms, accommodating hosts, wonderful breakfasts! Anna was absolutely lovely. Convenient to everything yet still peaceful. Can’t beat the views! Highly recommend for couples and families alike!
We stayed here on our first night of doing the WAW. We arrived quite late due to a delayed flight and traffic but that wasn’t a problem for Anna. She kindly showed us our room with was cozy and very clean. She made us a great breakfast in the morning. Only thing I didn’t like were the pillows, a bit too flat for my liking.
Fantastic location. Very good value for money. Spacious, clean and quiet en suite room in a large warm and welcoming home. Breakfast did not disappoint either. Would stay again and recommend to a friend.
My husband and I stayed here as we were attending a wedding at the Galway Bay Hotel. Highly recommend staying here. Fantastic location from wedding venue. Room spotless and fab comfy bed. 5 star breakfast especially the homemade scones delicious. Very friendly lady who made us feel right at home thank you
The Claremount House was our first stop on our Ireland adventure and this B&B did not disappoint. Our room was comfortable and clean, and our host, Anna, delightful. We enjoyed the location which was right across from a paved walkway with Galway Bay on one side and a golf course on the other. Being outside of busy Galway was a plus and the location was easy to find. The Irish breakfast was great! WiFi was adequate for email and web browsing.
We only stayed one night but wish we had planned for more. The room was delightful, clean, comfortable and very welcoming. Anna is the loveliest of hosts and the breakfast was wonderful. The location is superb just on Salthill just outside of Galway with lovely views of the coastline. We are definitely coming back next time we are in Galway!
My wife and I returned recently from a very enjoyable 2 night stay at the Claremount House Salthill Galway. On our arrival we were introduced to the proprietors Anna and Steven Monaghan We were shown to a very delightful ground floor on suite bedroom of the highest standard. If fact we have stayed in 3 star hotels which were not of the quality we enjoyed at the Claremount. One of the advantages of staying at a guesthouse is of course the price and the personal touch provided. A breakfast menu which included homemade bread and scones with everything you could possibility want to start off your day. Simply superb. Anna couldn’t have been more helpful telling us where to have dinner and other useful information we needed to enjoy the city center 10 minutes away. We were given a…
We spent only one night at this BB but we really enjoyed it! First it’s in front of the ocean in very good position, and the view is amazing. Second, the lady is so kind and polite. The place is very clean and the breakfast (that you decide the day that you arrive) is amazing, specially because you will have it with a fantastic view like that. If I will come back to Galway I will try to go stay here again, definitely.
We have spent four days and nights in Ireland before to come to the Claremont house. This bed and breakfast has been the best place we have been to so far in our tour; I couldn’t imagine no better place to spend the night in Galway! Anna is the owner of the b&b and she is the cutest and friendliest person on earth! She allowed us to check in after the check in deadline (we were tremendously late on our trip from Northern Ireland) and she made us feel immediately at ease and ‘at home’. The room was fabulous, I have never seen so high-quality and soft towels and bed sheets in my life. The breakfast was homemade and out of this world! The only thing I regret is not to have booked this room for more days! There is good WiFi connection and everything was deeply clean and…
