This guesthouse is one of 13 along a main road leading into the center of Galway. So how to choose? Start with the hosts, Ron and Mary, who go out of their way to welcome you, help you find your way around, give advice for music in the pubs and dining, and provide a most delicious breakfast. Yes, try the...

Mary and her husband were great hosts. Mary allowed us to store leftovers in the fridge overnight. Breakfasts were delicious and made to order. The rooms were spacious, especially for Europe! The breakfast room was airy and viewed the gorgeous backyard. The location was great and everything we wanted was within an easy walk.

I was here with a group of colleagues to visit Galway for 2 days. Rooms and bathrooms are nice and clean, and we were received by the host who was very generous and helpful throughout the stay. Breakfast was above all expectations with homemade full Irish breakfast. Can absolutely recommend this place.

My friend and I stayed 3/2/17-3/3/17 at the Asgard and loved it. Mary is a wonderful hostess! She's welcoming, helpful, gracious, and a fantastic cook. The breakfasts were delicious and she offered a crazy array of foods. Her grandson is adorable and husband is a delight to chat with. The rooms are comfortable and charming and while they aren't particularly...

Referred here by the B&B staff we stayed with in Doolin the previous day. Simple and basic urban B&B - a short walk, a km or less, from Galway town center and all the excitement that comes with it. Very helpful staff with loads of recommendations for music, food, and excursions. Our room was small, but very clean, good WiFi,...

The room was large, functional, comfortable, everything we needed and you would expect. Not overly fancy, it's a B&B, it was exactly what we needed. Location was great, 5 minute brisk walk to city centre, nicely outside centre, so quiet, but not a trek. We were arriving by push bike, bags had gone ahead, when we arrived they were in...

This B&B has a good location. Town is within walking distance, but is not real close. There are lots of B&Bs along this road. They all look alike from the outside. Don’t know what insides are like except for Asgard. Mary, the owner was very friendly. The owners babysit their grandson. He can be very noisy. Of all the places...

This was our third B & B experience during our trip to Ireland last summer and was the warmest, most welcoming location that we stayed at. Mary is a wonderful hostess, helped us figure out laundry, places to eat, activities and more during our stay. It's a very homey location (we got to meet Mary's grandson) which is quite fun....

A warm welcome from the moment I walked in the door. The guesthouse is in a great location, very easy to walk into town. Room was very comfortable and bathroom spotless. Breakfast was delicious as well. Thank you very much Mary, I had a wonderful stay and hope to be back one day.
