Visited on Saturday afternoon when restaurant was only half full. Friend asked to give up BAR STOOL for other customer and waiter didn't even offer alternative seating. More suited for food, but didn't try.

We orderd 2 main courses, my boyfriend took sausages with smashed potatoes and I took the Ribeye steak. The meat was great, the friea well cooked. Also desserts were fine (brownies and cheesecake). We appreciate also the way the chef presented food in the plate. Live music was really good, we enjoyed it very much!

Stayed here during the week and really disappointed in the accommodation. We weren't staying for very long and thank god we weren't. We arrived at 9.30pm and went straight to our room which was tiny. There was one light in the room which was just inside the door so couldn't even see properly. The beds all have major dips in... More

It's a hotel for a night out in Galway - 2 of us in a twin room that was adequate. Get what you pay for, expect no luxuries. Room shabby but clean. Place could do with a makeover, non working bulbs replaced and finish cleaning the lift - smell of Brasso would knock you.

Hi MSD16, Thank you for your feedback. I will pass your comments on to our Maintenance immediately for correction. As for the Brasso, we use it to polish the Brasswork in reception and in the Lift. We've tried other solutions, and nothing seems to work quite like the Brasso... Thanks again, More

Stayed here last weekend and had a great time. Staff could not have been more helpful. Food was fantastic too. Had a fright when I got back to Dublin when I realised I had left an expensive watch in my room. I rang the hotel and they could not have done more, they couriered my watch to my home and... More

Booked on line and we're so disappointed we immediately checked out. Carpet was dirty and cigarette burned. Furniture was old and dilapidated and falling apart. Walls were stained and dirty. Halls and staircase smelled. They were kind enough to give us a full refund.

First night in Galway we were very hungry and went in, we orderd fish and chips and a burger. The portions are very small and the price is too high for what you get, the food is bland. Service was ok. I wouldnt come back here.

Ok we were tourists to Galway too - but here caters for those coming from abroad tracing their routes. The kind that 4 of them gather around 1 drink and listen to the fiddle player in the corner. We are here and both decided on seafood chowder which was beyond bland. My husband went for chicken curry which was a... More

This is not somewhere to stay if you want peace and quiet. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, but not luxurious, with an endearing quality to them. The local festival meant that the bars were full every evening with visitors, locals and musicians. The revelry was fun to enjoy and we accepted the good natured celebration would go on... More
