We enjoyed 3 quiet nights at Petra House during the (manic, crowded) end of the Volvo Ocean Race. Frank and Joan provide the breakfast that all other B&Bs should strive for. In a 2 week trip which included a variety of B&Bs, only Frank not...More

I stayed for one night at the Petra Guest House (May 22, 2012). Very clean place and Frank was a super nice guy. I wish I could have stayed longer and I'll definitely be back. Good Irish breakfast as well. Highly recommended!
I can't say enough good things about this place. Frank and his wife were the BEST hosts. The breakfast was delicious. We still miss the smell of freshly baked scones filling the B&B. We can't wait to go back one day!

Not sure what exactly you mean by “the double room “, however we stayed in early June for 100€ a night, two people single room. Also, I would keep trying to call. Frank and Joan are owner operators and are hands on with caring for the premises. I know they also close during slow periods. Well worth your time. This is a fantastic place to stay with wonderful hosts. Conveniently located with off street parking too.
