Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellence at its very best. Greetings in car park, at reception and general staff just busy getting on with their day was second to none. The warmest welcome awaits you at The Park House Hotel. One staff member more pleasant and professional than the next. Since covid hit our shores, we holiday at home, visiting The Park House probably 4 - 5 times a year, we have yet to find a problem. Food is delicious both dinner and breakfast. Congratulations to you all on getting Irish hospitality 100% right all of the time. Hopefully see you before Santa arrives.

Just returned home from a visit at this very comfortable and conveniently located hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful..a friend of ours has Celiacs and they did not have gluten-free beer so the staff advised him to go across the street to Centra and pick up some and they held it for him at the bar. Food is very good and the Toblerone cheesecake is amazing! Rooms are nice and roomy, however the carpets in the hallways a worn in spots. Would definitely stay here again

As my title mentions, this hotel's location is an unbeatable balance between just being out of the bustling touristy parts of downtown Galway but remaining walkable to everything in the town. While one of our more expensive stays on our trip to Ireland, the accommodations were generally fine. Upon arrival, the desk staff was a bit terse when asking us to wait (we hadn't said a word and were just waiting patiently for an acknowledgment, perhaps we just missed a large rush of other customers). Also, our room's garbage hadn't been removed from the previous occupant. So a few little things kept this hotel from getting 5-stars, particularly given its price-point.

We had the pleasure of staying at the wonderful 'parkhouse Hotel 'recently for three nights, we were warmly welcomed when we checked in, the receptionist was very informative of the facilities in the hotel, room was spacious and clean, very professional service in the bar and lobby areas, the restaurant was it's gem, menu's very extensive, 2 table d'hote and an a'la carte, they cover all tastes and dietary requirements, food was beautifully presented and the service was excellent, professional and unintrusive, the staff were well trained, breakfast was fabulous with a cold buffet and the hot breakfast was cooked to order, right beside eyre Square you are near many amenities, I would highly recommend staying here, great to receive good old Irish hospitality which we are renowned for, Jim and Jackie O'Connell

Hotel was busy but decor jaded in places. Carpet threadbare and could do with some tlc in places. Breakfast was nice with food cooked to order. Reception staff were just ok - no greeting or acknowledgement when in reception. We were first time visitors to Galway and maybe we were expecting more and we left a little disappointed with this Hotel. A special mention for front of house staff member Lydia, she was most welcoming and has a great eye for detail along with excellent customer service skills.

I have stayed here previously and have always enjoyed the experience. On this occasion the staff were under pressure with every one arriving together for Breakfast. We arrived at 09.35 and there was 8 people ahead of us.We went back to our room and finished packing for the journey home.We arrived back at 09.55 and there were 5 tables ahead of us.I am guessing this would be 20 minutes at a minimum .I had an appointment and was under pressure so I asked for a breakfast credit, which was rejected by a member of staff at reception .I was told I could have a cold take away breakfast which I did not want.I asked for a credit on my next stay, this was rejected(Please keep in mind it was the hotels issue for not being able to cope with too many guests at once) I asked for the managers name and took my leave.I phoned her expecting some contrition (because it was the Hotels problem) but absolutely not! She kept repeating breakfast is from 07..30 to 10.00 (this was not possible with 5 tables ahead of me at 09.55) In 35 years travelling with work to several Hotels in Ireland around the world, this was the rudest ,most unprofessional individual I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.Customer service at its absolute worse I am afraid.

Great location, nice room, very clean and spacious bathroom. Traditional hotel, very well kept, but..,, Had a very bad experience with the receptionist. She was not helpful, quite rude, and not friendly. Asked for an early check in in advance and when we arrived early. Not available, which was ok). But, receptionist argued about check in time (website states 3 pm) basically shrugged her shoulders. Didn’t try to arrange for even 3 pm, and checked in others not waiting at front desk. Needs to train check in person for be pleasant.

We had 2 rooms both clean, newly refurbished and large with King beds. Staff was amazing, Ann Marie, Magdalena, Bernie in the Dining Room and of course Kitty every morning at breakfast. Location is first rate, can't beat it. Food at both breakfast and dinner was top notch. Parking right at hotel was a bonus. Value for money can't be beat. Cheers from Canada, we will be back! Shout out to Paul the driver they recommended for transport from Shannon, he was simply amazing as well.
