Wouldn't Bother!!!
Dropped into The Skeff for something to eat on a Friday afternoon. Waitress was run off her feet. After a wait our order was taken. A half hour later & no sign of food/drinks arriving. Finally waitress reappeared, we asked where our food was to be told the kitchen never received our order!! Bad form. Do better Skeffington. Thankfully Taaffes saved the afternoon with a much warmer welcome & better atmosphere.

Nicest & friendliest staff
Highly recommend this hotel, the staff were by far the friendliest we have encountered anywhere, so polite and obliging , no request was a problem, they deserve to be acknowledged for their professionalism and hospitality, lots of lovely touches on the hotel room too to make a memorable stay, highly recommend and location is fabulous in the centre of everything A+++

Very happy
As always when I come to Galway I always stay in the Skeffington. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends as it's the best hotel in Galway. Could not recommend it more highly as everything about it is great from the staff to the food and drink plus the location is so central to everything. Will be back again in the New Year.

Thank-you for making us so welcome and feeling safe
Very friendly and welcoming, little touches in the room were lovely ,front desk and security go above and beyond even the cleaning lady made sure we were OK...thank-you to you all ..This hotel is very popular so found it difficult to get a table in restaurant but you are central so plenty restaurants around .

Excellent location, food, and service!
Great accommodations with great food provided by a kind and efficient staff . Special thanks to the lovely young lady on the evening shift , Marie, who was extremely charming and helpful . The hotel is centrally located which is very nice since once you park in the garage there is no need to drive .

Weekend away!
Excellent reception on arrival. Overall, very comfortable stay. We were surprised how quiet it actually was as we were warned there might be noise from the nightclub. Would recommend as the location is fantastic.

Great stay, awesome staff, beautiful property
Staff was extremely accommodating and helpful in every way, you never felt as though you were putting them out. Comfortable beds , hot shower, extremely beautiful restaurant and great food. I would definitely stay again.

Great room and property, but weird room colors.
We enjoyed our stay at Skeffington Arms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Being close to the coach station and train station was great, along with our tour pick up location. All three were a 5-10 minute walk. We also liked being close to restaurants and shopping. Our room was spacious and was recently renovated. However the room decor was not really our taste (maroon, hot pink, and purple). The staff asked us to complete a survey on the room renovations, which we did. I'm not sure if they'll keep the colors in the room or if they'll change it. Other than that, we loved our room and our stay at this property.

Lovely stay, very convenient
Traveling Americans here, we found the accommodations quite comfortable and very clean. The staff was lovely - no issues at all with the stay. Our room was on the small side, but they managed to still squeeze a cot in for our infant. Location was perfect for going out on some morning runs - most scenic routes I've ever experienced right out their doorstep. The pub and live music on the first floor were both excellent, and we couldn't hear any of it from our room. Would definitely stay again.

Couldn’t complain if I wanted to.
Staff were attentive, cheerful and lovely. My room was perfect. The best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in with the best pillows, really good pillows. The biggest and best shower. Coffee pods and chocolate. Bang in the city centre. In other places I have paid so much more for so much less.
