We had the pleasure of staying two nights at Ardawn House in April 2019. Very well kept and comfortable room. Owner's Mike and Breda were friendly and helpful with advice. Our second night we were the only couple and we were impressed breakfast that morning was the same delicious spread as the first morning when most rooms were rented. Great location only about a 15 minute walk to downtown. We would definitely stay at Ardawn House again.

Our family stayed in two rooms at Ardawn House last June. The rooms were tastefully decorated and contained everything we could want or need for our stay. The breakfast was good and we were also able to walk to center of Galway in about 15-20 minutes with a ten and eleven-year-old. Dave, the friendly owner, also helped us determine the best route to get to Knock, among other locations. I appreciated the fact that Ardawn is outside of the city center that it's relatively quiet but close enough that we could walk. There are cars that pass outside the inn but it wasn't enough noise to keep us up (and I'm a light sleeper). We'd definitely stay here again!

We spent two nights in Galway as a base for day trips to Connemara and the Burren/Cliffs of Moher. Mike and Breda made us feel like we were guests in their home, and we spoke with other guests who were regular visitors. When we arrived, Mike parked our car for us ... a tricky task involving backing around a corner into a tight diagonal space. He had lots of pointers on places to go and how to get there. The room was quiet, comfortable, and spacious for a B&B. The highlight was breakfast, with a scrumptious spread and smoked salmon with our eggs ... yumm! We needed to catch a tour bus our second morning, so they served us breakfast earlier than their regular opening time - very thoughtful! I wish we could have stayed longer.

This B&B is a short 10 minute walk to Eyer Square and the heart of the city. We bussed to Galway from Dublin airport and walked from the depot to the hotel in 5 minutes. Mike and Brita host a clean, comfortable, quaint facility with 9 rooms and a fresh cooked, full Irish style breakfast. I would recommend this place to most everyone I know. As in most B&B's in this area, there are some stairs from entry to rooms that could give pause if stairs are a physical issue with you.
