We had the pleasure of staying two nights at Ardawn House in April 2019. Very well kept and comfortable room. Owner's Mike and Breda were friendly and helpful with advice. Our second night we were the only couple and we were impressed breakfast that morning was the same delicious spread as the first morning when most rooms were rented. Great location only about a 15 minute walk to downtown. We would definitely stay at Ardawn House again.

Our family stayed in two rooms at Ardawn House last June. The rooms were tastefully decorated and contained everything we could want or need for our stay. The breakfast was good and we were also able to walk to center of Galway in about 15-20 minutes with a ten and eleven-year-old. Dave, the friendly owner, also helped us determine the best route to get to Knock, among other locations. I appreciated the fact that Ardawn is outside of the city center that it's relatively quiet but close enough that we could walk. There are cars that pass outside the inn but it wasn't enough noise to keep us up (and I'm a light sleeper). We'd definitely stay here again!

This is a charming guest house about 10 minute-walk from the center of Galway. The owners are very helpful. The place is immaculate and offers a nice are to sit and read. The room is nice decorated, but the shower is too small.

We spent two nights in Galway as a base for day trips to Connemara and the Burren/Cliffs of Moher. Mike and Breda made us feel like we were guests in their home, and we spoke with other guests who were regular visitors. When we arrived, Mike parked our car for us ... a tricky task involving backing around a corner into a tight diagonal space. He had lots of pointers on places to go and how to get there. The room was quiet, comfortable, and spacious for a B&B. The highlight was breakfast, with a scrumptious spread and smoked salmon with our eggs ... yumm! We needed to catch a tour bus our second morning, so they served us breakfast earlier than their regular opening time - very thoughtful! I wish we could have stayed longer.

This B&B is a short 10 minute walk to Eyer Square and the heart of the city. We bussed to Galway from Dublin airport and walked from the depot to the hotel in 5 minutes. Mike and Brita host a clean, comfortable, quaint facility with 9 rooms and a fresh cooked, full Irish style breakfast. I would recommend this place to most everyone I know. As in most B&B's in this area, there are some stairs from entry to rooms that could give pause if stairs are a physical issue with you.

My husband, daughter and myself stayed at this house for a weekend recently. We found it to be a lovely experience. Location fantastic. The accommodation was very clean, and a lovely breakfast with everything you would want. What really made it for us was the welcome and friendly atmosphere that was provided by the owners Mike and Breda.

Mike and his wife are excellent hosts and the accommodation is located close to the town centre .. about 10 minutes walk. Room was small but apart from that everything good. Breakfast was excellent. There is a small guests lounge with 24 hour tea and coffee facilities. Parking is tight but adequate. A Pub by name Merty Rabbits served up an excellent Irish Stew washed down with a Guinness .. about ten minutes walkin the centre. Galway is a very pretty city and certainly warrants at least three nights stay.

Really glad we picked Ardawn House. Mike and Breda are the best hosts. Very personable. They take pride in their cooking. We had the most perfect poached eggs of the trip at Ardawn House. The location is fine. It’s an easy walk to downtown - maybe 10 or 12 minutes. The area feels safe. Good food and drink are close by. We were in room 9 which is on the third level so there are some stairs to climb. I’m sure Mike would carry your bags up if need be. And if you don’t do well with stairs, ask in advance for a second floor room. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights during our Atlantic Way stop in Galway with my friend, and it was such a cosy, safe and comfortable stay. Mike&Breda have been in touch via emails before our arrival (and even after our departure!) to make sure everything goes smoothly. The room was triple, good size, clean and comfortable beds. Cute window in the bathroom too. Shower cabin is a bit small, but this wasn’t an issue at all. Breakfast was delicious, cooked from the menu eggs and salmon was our everyday favorite. Breda is a lovely host, smiling and charming. This B&B is close walking distance to the town center, we always walked. I just must mention that Mike gave us spot on tips on what to do in town and in general about traveling in Ireland, and made not only our stay in Galway superb, but also the rest of the trip. Mike recommended 2 restaurants in Galway, both of which we visited for dinner and both were fantastic. Mike also made some recommendations on how to arrange our trip to Aran islands, which we followed and had best time ever! Thanks very much Breda&Mike, it was lovely to meet you and have our first stop in Ireland at Ardawn house ❤️

Not even kidding. As you can see from regiews, I don't normally frequent bed and breakfasts. I was looking for somewhere to stay that would accommodate my sister, mom and myself, without breaking the bank. Kept going back to Ardawn House as they have rooms with 3 beds. All of the reviews were fantastic. Had to see it for myself. It's perfect. Really. Super clean. Fantastic location. Less than a 10 minute walk to Eyre Square. And the breakfasts - we got a menu and spectacular spread of extra fruits and cereals and juices and breads and you name it, they had it. Mike and Breda were absolutely lovely, as was their daughter. We had so many great conversations with them and other guests each morning. They had great suggestions of where to go and what to do. We absolutely loved it! I would recommend Ardawn House to everyone. It is THE best place to stay in Galway. Seriously. Just go!
