I am not so sure where to start with everything good about this place, it came highly recommended from an Airbnb host and I can tell you that everything far exceeded any expectations we could’ve dreamed of having. I had some special requests for some surprises - they never hesitated to acquire them for me and place them in the rooms of my family. The kindness via email even before we arrived just exuded the greatest hospitality you could ever want. But then to have arrived and to receive it and see it in person it’s just something everyone should experience. The field was absolutely impeccable, delicious and served with the greatest care and kindness. Everyone here is happy and joyful. I wish I could remember everyone’s names but for sure the stand out is Klaudia who did so much and always did it with such grace and kindness and a smile. Marek the chef and his sous chef Kim huge praise. The day that we were departing we had to leave an hour prior to when they start service and they showed up early so they could serve us a warm breakfast before we departed. I mean where will you ever find that kind of service??
Again I wish that I could remember everyone’s names but just trust that they are all amazing. The house is beautiful the garden is beautiful. I will dream about this place for a long time to come that is for sure.

As a frequent visitor to Galway over the past four years for business and pleasure, this has become my go-to place to lay my head. Centrally located with stunning views over the River Corrib, the accommodation is elegant and extremely comfortable. And the breakfast is the best in town: fresh local ingredients, cooked to order and always delicious. And price-wise, you will pay the same elsewhere and get a lot less.

We stayed in the Riverside Suite, a 2-story very comfortably furnished suite with a lovely living room, a large bedroom and a nice bath, with a fabulous view of the Corrib River spillway and the Galway Cathedral, very reasonably priced - grab this room if it's available! The staff was very friendly, attentive and extremely helpful, and the excellent breakfasts were a great way to start the day. The location is perfect, with easy walking access to pretty much everything.

Perfectly located a few minutes from Galway's (utterly manic) centre, the rooms are large (mine was split level) and kitted out in a traditional but very tasteful and minimalistic fashion. Facilities are all you can wish for and and it has a distinctly classy feeling.
Paul looked after us very well and couldn't do enough. Breakfast is excellent, with proper bacon, properly cooked. We found it possible to temporarily park outside in order to unload, and a large carpark is a 5 minute walk away in Dykes Rd. Very little to fault with the accommodation. The shower was rather feeble, and it has to be said - light sleepers staying in warm weather and needing the windows open will struggle with the noise of the weir. It's a constant and agreeable sound, but I was glad I had my trusty earplugs. One of the nights the heating had come on, but there was no way to turn the radiator down or off so I had need of an open window.
The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the sheer cost. £300 per room per night is very steep indeed for what is, after all, a guest house. People are patently prepared to pay it (as was I), but it's pushing the boundary of what is reasonable.

The staff at Corrib House was so helpful and welcoming, offering us tea upon arrival and leaving a sweet treat and card in our room on my birthday! The breakfast was phenomenal, and I appreciated that healthy options were on the menu.
The view from the Angler's Rest room cannot be beat. The Corrib House is very conveniently located, yet away from the noise of Galway City. Highly recommended!

Given all the great reviews this place has had, we had high expectations of a great visit. Sadly, they were not met. I am not saying we had major complaints, but there were no great plusses either and we left disappointed.
We booked the Riverside Suite which was expensive and we were expecting some degree of luxury. The suite was frankly rather plain and could do with refurbishment. The room was cold when we arrived , and later when we returned from days out, and took about an hour to heat up with the heater provided. There was no hot water for a shower on one of the three nights.
More importantly than these minor criticisms we did not receive the kind of welcome and attention that you get in the top B and Bs. On arrival we were given a town map, what turned out to be incorrect information about parking costs right outside the house and a room key and that was that. No real effort then or later to make our stay special . This seems in contrast to others so maybe we were unlucky but it was not a memorable experience and we will not be returning.

We stayed in the Corrib House for two nights. The service was outstanding warm and welcoming. The interior makes you feel like in an Instagram-Account.
The food was delicious- for the eye as well as for our tummy.
Corrib guest house's location is perfect for a walk into the city centre and for a road trip to Connemara National Park.
We will definitely come back again!

All we can say is WOW. The Corrib House was amazing. We had the best time, welcomed by the best staff. Klaudia and Leah were incredible gals that made us feel so welcome. We stayed in the Salmon Weir room and it was the most lovely, quaint room with the best view of the river. It was quiet, romantic and beautifully decorated. Our favorite place we stayed on our 10 day Ireland trip. We wish we had more days here. It was so worth the price.

Spent 3 nights in the Salmon Weir suite on our first trip to Ireland. Corrib House did not disappoint! The accommodation was comfortable and beautiful. The view of the river was calming and I just loved looking out of the window each morning. We traveled without a car and found the location to be very convenient to everything we needed, from the bus station to the pubs and shops. My two favorite things about our stay were the staff and the tea room downstairs. It was so nice to have our breakfasts downstairs and chat with Mia, Nicol and Gemma. The experience was so enjoyable that we were wishing we could have stayed longer. Happy to recommend this place to other travelers.

It may well be too late for you now but a European king size bed is the same size as a US queen size bed. Hope you enjoy the trip. Dominic
Hi Kim. We don’t have in-house laundry facilities but have a couple of laundrettes a short walk away nearby, possible too for out Landry man to collect and drop back for you.
Hi There, Yes we do supply a hair dryer, complimentary shampoos and bodywash, shoer caps, & soaps in each room.
