Wonderful B&B right on the Corrib river in Galway. We stayed for 2 nights recently on our first trip to Ireland. Communication with the staff pre arrival was great as we would be arriving after 8pm. The directions on how to access the property were spot on. Breakfast options were superb! Loved our short stay! We stayed in the Anglers Rest room.

This is a beautifully renovated historic house that looks out on the River Corrib ( from my room I could hear the water rushing over the Salmon Weir). There are only a few B&B rooms - you feel like a guest in a private home. The breakfasts are delicious, as are lunch and cakes from the tea shop downstairs. The location is ideal - it is very quiet, yet you are only about 10 minutes away from the busy centre of Galway (restaurants, music pubs, shops galore) and Galway University is just across the river from Corrib House - also a 10- 15 minute walk. I stayed in the Corrib Princess room - a large, beautifully decorated, light-filled room. This is the only guest room without an ensuite bath, but has a large private bathroom on the adjacent staircase landing. Bathrobes and slippers are included with the room - a practical gesture. The food is excellent, and the staff are helpful and friendly. This is a wonderful place to stay (or just to visit for lunch or tea).

Spent 3 nights in the Salmon Weir suite on our first trip to Ireland. Corrib House did not disappoint! The accommodation was comfortable and beautiful. The view of the river was calming and I just loved looking out of the window each morning. We traveled without a car and found the location to be very convenient to everything we needed, from the bus station to the pubs and shops. My two favorite things about our stay were the staff and the tea room downstairs. It was so nice to have our breakfasts downstairs and chat with Mia, Nicol and Gemma. The experience was so enjoyable that we were wishing we could have stayed longer. Happy to recommend this place to other travelers.

Corrib House was one of my favorite accommodations during our 7 day trip through Ireland. We stayed for 1 night in Oct 2023. We stayed in the Corrib Princess room, which was a huge room, probably the largest room we stayed in during our trip. Our host, who was extremely kind and genuinely caring, told us it was because the bathroom is not en-suite, so the room was twice as big as all the others. It had two windows with lovely views, antique furniture including an armoire and vanity, and a (non-functioning) fireplace. There was a small tea table with biscuits, lots of different kinds of tea, and an espresso machine. It was just so, so lovely, every detail was perfect. The bathroom, which was just down the hall on the landing of the stairs, was also huge and had a heated towel rack. We were provided robes and slippers for the short trip between the room and the bathroom. I wish the bathroom had had a bathtub, our feet were so tired from our long day and we wanted to soak, but the shower was large and very nice and everything was spotlessly clean. Corrib House is very centrally located and getting to the Latin Quarter for restaurants and shopping was a quick stroll down the riverside. We parked on the street nearby because we just happened to get there late enough on Saturday that the paid parking window was ending, and on Sundays, paid parking doesn’t start until 1pm, so we didn't have too much trouble with it. Breakfast was one of the best we had during our trip. I had a Veggie Full Irish and my partner had a Breakfast Boxty, which they were able to make gluten free. The host was very kind and walked her through the menu to show which things were gluten free and which one could be altered to be gluten free. For both of our meals, the eggs were perfectly cooked, the tomato chutney was delicious. They also had scones and croissants and fruits and yogurts out buffet items, and the pastries were amazing. I would stay at Corrib House again in a heartbeat! Simply put, it was incredible. It felt like home away from home.

We stayed in the Riverside Suite, a 2-story very comfortably furnished suite with a lovely living room, a large bedroom and a nice bath, with a fabulous view of the Corrib River spillway and the Galway Cathedral, very reasonably priced - grab this room if it's available! The staff was very friendly, attentive and extremely helpful, and the excellent breakfasts were a great way to start the day. The location is perfect, with easy walking access to pretty much everything.

Great location just outside of downtown so easy walking distance to restaurants and the sites of Galway but still a peaceful location. Our room overlooked the salmon weir so we slept to the sound of cascading water. Breakfast was excellent - yummy scones. Great service as well.

An atmospheric, cosy and welcoming B&B. The breakfasts were magnificent and hearty, setting us up to explore the gorgeous town of Galway. It's only a short walk to the town centre. The view over the Salmon Weir is stunning - and at night, we fell asleep to the calming white noise of its torrent of water. The rooms are charmingly decorated and comfortable, the bathroom modern and the bedding luxurious. I couldn't recommend Corrib House more heartily.
