Strange title. A really nice hotel. Well located for Central Galway. Great staff. Well organised. Plus as a building surveyor a really nicely tiled bathroom. As I have to pad this out to get to 200 characters I'm putting sentence on the end.

Excellent central location off Eyre Square. Car parking nearby not on site. Big restaurant with excellent choices for breakfast. Bar is good with a great food and a pint deal available when we were there. Undergoing refurbishment at the moment but didn't affect our stay.

We were in Galway to see the Christmas Markets, so a central hotel was top of list. But sick of paying the extortionate prices in Dublin wanted a bargain. We certainly got one. Torrential rain stopped us wandering around markets for too long. So spent most of evening in hotel.

How close to train station?
Less than 5 mins walk. I see many people trailing their suitcases from the platform to the Victoria.
