Staff were so nice and helpful and the bar is beautiful. Food was delicious. Room was OK, shower wasn't too great to be honest. And the elevator was questionable at times and it sometimes felt safer taking the stairs instead.
Great hotel ideally situated for visiting this vibrant city with friendly and helpful staff, my only point preventing a five star rating is the somewhat unimaginative ‘continental’ breakfast, the bar meals were very good.
My boyfriend and I recently stayed in the hotel for one night and enjoyed the Winter Warmer package. The room was very nice, as was the bathroom in the room. We dined in Queen Street and were disappointed on arrival to see the menu was different and smaller than the one shown on the website. The food overall was nice but nothing special. Our starters were both very nice (Caesar salad and goats cheese) however our mains were not as good (burger which was dry and fish and chips). The service in Queen Street however was amazing and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. When leaving the bar that night we enquired what time breakfast was served until the next morning and we were told 10:30, but when we arrived for breakfast at 10:10 the following morning we were told breakfast had stopped being served which was again, disappointing as we had breakfast included in our stay. The girl who was in the restaurant cleaning up told us we could take any of the continental breakfast that had not been put away yet back up to our room with us which we did. Despite these few things, we still had a lovely stay and would return sometime in the future. …
From the entrance to the exit. Front desk staff were lovely, even let us check in an hour early. Very clean and new looking room. Right in the ehsrr of the city with only a minute walk to the bars and restaurants, no noise during the night surprisingly. Great night away and good price. Staff were excellent
Highly recommended hotel. Fabulous breakfast and dinner. Great location for shops, pubs, restaurants. Staff were excellent especially Patrick who went over and above to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Parking close by with hotel rates which was great.
Fabulous stay so central to everything but in a nice quiet corner lovely rooms and perfect breakfast what more could you want will be going back again this time with the kids as it suits all ages 100% perfect
Room was clean with comfortable temperature inside; very elegant spaceus reastaurant! Good breakfast. Perfect localization: shopping street, pubs, restaurants, seaside in walking distance. Highly recommended
Nice hotel in an excellent location. The staff were super friendly. Our family room had 2 single beds and 1 double. Nice spacious and clean room. The bathroom had a wonderful walk in shower. There was a good variety at breakfast, cereals and pastries etc were self service and a menu available for hot food. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and the service was wonderful. The hotel is a little dated in general but I understand that renovations are in the pipeline. I would most definitely return.
The hotel is in a great location, close to the train station and loads of restaurants and bars. It was quiet and comfortable, and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaints are relatively cosmetic: the room decor was a bit dull/outdated and didn't reflect the boutique aesthetic. The bathroom door was heavy glass and didn't afford much privacy. Finally, the toiletries were a mishmash of different scente and suppliers.
Booked and requested a quiet room as light sleeper, woke first morning with delivery of beer kegs, second night with noisy neighbours coming in late, can’t fault hotel for other customers but delivery noise at 7am
