I booked an upgrade to executive room but was very disappointed. The room was small, had a seatee but no drawers to put our clothes. The chef was a close contact so we had to go to the sister hotel Eyre Square for a hot breakfast. Unfortunately we had rain to contend with on one morning. The Victoria is very close to Eyre Square, shopping malls and restaurants. The staff in the Victoria and Eyre were very friendly.

Hello Michael, and thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We're so sorry you were displeased with your executive room. We have a few available and would have happily shown you another one if you were happy to move to a different room. We also apologise that you had to take your breakfast at our sister hotel around the corner - as our staff and guests' health is a top priority, we unfortunately had no other choice but to offer breakfast at our sister hotel when our head chef was out sick. If you ever wish to book with us again, don't hesitate to contact us directly and we would be more than happy to help you! Kindest regards, Kat Kray, Reception Supervisor

Staff are so kind and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable of the business and their number one priority is the customer. The room is quite spacious and is quite modern. The bathrooms are very pretty. Hotel is everything you need in the heart of Galway.

The Victoria has always been a lovely hotel with a great location in Galway. However, with the recent renovations - the hotel has been taken to another level. The rooms, the reception area and new bar are absolutely top notch. I highly recommend staying here or just popping in for food or a drink.

Location is ideal, right in the city centre. Free parking in a nearby multi storey which is a major bonus! Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room is standard, clean and modern. Restaurant has been upgraded decor wise, it is very trendy and modern. Cocktails are really good and there is a great selection of drinks. My only negative of the hotel is the food in the restaurant, there wasn't one meal out of the 2 days that any of us enjoyed. Overcooked meat, chips cooked in very dirty oil and also the staff seemed to have no idea about the menu.

Hi Emma, Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your overall stay with us at The Victoria Hotel. We are also thrilled to hear that you love our newly refurbished bar and restaurant Queen Street as much as we do! I'm disappointed to hear that you felt your food fell short of of usual high standards. I will pass on your comments to our F&B team. We hope to welcome you again in the near future. Kind Regards, Reception.
