A pleasant stay, Kate at reception was outstanding during our week long stay in helping resolve issues encountered. The restaurant was not in use for our stay due to weddings that week. We ate there for breakfast and it was lovely. The Bistro experience would be good if there was enough staff working and someone coordinating the ordering process. Staff did their best and were pleasant. Our bed was very uncomfortable, again Kate organised a duvet as a mattress topper which helped. Housekeeping were not sure what to do with the duvet as mattress topper so we’d to remake the bed always after housekeeping. The garden suites could do with update and maintenance. Robes would be good for long stay guests to make using the leisure centre more comfortable as guests need their own lock for the lockers. With these issues resolved, it would be a fantastic guest experience. …
Hands down the worst hotel in Galway, why people have their weddings here is beyond me. Toilets didn’t flush in the wedding reception area, food was dry, tasteless and service was terrible. The rooms are old and dated. This hotel needs a major refurbishment to include flushing toilets. Not acceptable at all. Will never attend another wedding here when there are far superior options just down the road.
We stayed at the Ardilaun for a week in difficult circumstances when a member of our family was in hospital. From our first arrival to our departure staff treated us with care and kindness. From a reduced rate, to pastries in our room and a late check out, nothing was a bother to them. Kate at reception is an asset to the hotel and treated us with such kindness when we needed it most. The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with great, well priced food in the brasserie, very good parking and a fabulous foyer to sit and chat. I’d thoroughly recommend the Ardilaun for those looking for a relaxed stay in Galway.
Great gem of a hotel. Leisure centre is very good and close enough to galway golf club if you play. Catered for my partners gluten free needs both at breakfast and dinner. Reasonably priced. 5 star service. Will try to get down again to stay but definitely won't be looking for a different hotel. Salthill is busy too.
Great hotel food was brilliant music was great at night time loved the swimming pool and the property it’s self is beautiful would definitely stay again 100% loved how the kids could sit down at night and enjoy the music too.. the singer they use Robbie Monaghan is brilliant enjoyed his whole set
Beautiful hotel in a lovely area. Spotlessly clean with a warm welcoming atmosphere. If visiting the area then this should be up the top of your list of options. The rooms are so comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
Top notch service and luxury accommodation. From the elegantly planted and beautifully maintained drive in we knew we were in for a wonderful stay. Reception staff were cheerful, courteous and kind. Our room, as was the whole hotel, clean and top quality. The dining area and bar were well staffed and prices were reasonable. Breakfast buffet was well stocked, with quickly delivered special order items. Access to the grounds included a fairy walk in the wooded area! The leisure complex swimming pool was spacious with a steam room, sauna and gym available. My abiding memory is of a most comfortable stay with excellent staff.
We cannot praise the Ardilaun or the staff enough when they took care of us for a small intimate wedding reception a couple of weeks ago. The hotel itself, the suite and the grounds are lovely, and the food we had for the meal was absolutely fantastic and cannot be praised highly enough. All the service staff were really friendly and professional but I have to say the receptionist who dealt with us is one of the nicest we have ever met and just made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Will definitely be back here again.
Really enjoyed our stay in the Ardilaun Hotel. We were attending a family wedding and the service was excellent. Very friendly staff, reception very helpful, bedroom very clean, fantastic food and overall I would stay here again.
Short visit to Galway and stayed at Ardilaun. Loved the location, as was a central point for where we needed to get to during our stay. Close to city, close to Salthill promenade and short drive out to Spiddal. Hotel was lovely. Friendly, helpful staff throughout. Service in bar was good. Main restaurant was closed for dinner, due to staff shortages, but bar had a nice, varied menu, so something for everyone. Live music in main foyer in evening, which was pleasant. Was missing table service for drinks during live music, which would have been a nice addition. Cocktails were delicious! All in all a very good experience. Would stay here again
