I have to say from parking the car on arrival to our departure this is just a fabulous hotel in a really handy location in the centre of Galway City. Check in was speedy and the young man on reception was lovely. I booked interconnecting rooms as travelling with two children. The 2 rooms were the most spotlessly hotel room I have ever seen, carpets , all surfaces, so a big thumbs up to housekeeping staff. The beds were extremely comfortable, the towels were fluffy, loads of hot water in shower and sink. There ia a fridge which i love as so handy and a safe too. A great tea and coffee selection and fab selection of channels on the large TV. We ate in the bar last night and the dinner service was so efficient and our waitress was so helpful to the girls and offered suggestions of places to visit with them. She was able to ammend the sides available with their steaks for the kids ..who gave their steaks 11 out of 10 !!! My arancini and thai curry was delish as was the choc brownie. Breakfast times were set and there was no delay in service. Good range on buffet and the ability to choose your own options on Irish breakfast was welcome. All staff are highly trained and so professional but also ao naturally friendly. Excellent provisions re COVID-19, which was not overly obvious but I felt very secure and safe at all times. We will definitely be back to this hotel again. Well done to all.

The outside is deceptive and appears run down. However, the room was clean and fresh from COVID-19 upgrades (shower curtains replaced with screen for example). Staff clearly trained in new health & safety procedures; and easy to drown in multiple hand sanitizer stations, so felt very safe! Everything you needed to know about the hotel was available on a quick-link website provided. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. 5 mins walk from city centre. Dining room was spacious & airy, with wipeable menus. Downside is that the toast served at breakfast is the cheapest sliced bread; the children’s menus not found on website but fabulous choice (had room service for one dinner); and no menu for children at breakfast. That said...pancakes were requested and delivered on both occasions to a delighted child. Definitely value for money for location, comfort & staff.

Outstanding experience with staff that were keen to ensure our stay was safe and comfortable. The rooms looked new and we felt like we were the first guests to stay in them. We also opted for breakfast in the room and the chef created a delicious lactose free experience. The front of house staff were very helpful in finding us places to dine and have a glass of wine at. They were also super friendly and polite making the whole experience 5 star. The hotel is located in the centre but away from any potential noise which was an extra bonus as well as the onsite parking. Highly recommend for your next stay in Galway!

Just had one night stay at this hotel and wish it was more. It has a perfect location for the city. Free parking for guests. Beautiful, comfortable and quiet room.
Most important for me were the efficient, friendly staff. All of them wore masks which I was delighted about not having any faith in visors. Every item is cleaned , cutlery are in sterile packs and all buffet breakfast food is covered. Hot breakfast served to table. We had dinner here last night and it was fabulous as were the cocktails. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed in the Harbour Hotel for 3 nights and paid for a meal. The 3 course meal was brilliant value at 60 euros for 3 courses plus tea or coffee for the two of us. The breakfast had a good choice with cutlery issued in an envelope to help stop the spread of covid. Throughout the hotel there are numerous sanitising stations too. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

5 of us stayed one night for a birthday celebration.
Every member of staff from the girls at check in and check out to the staff in the restaurant were friendly helpful and so great at their job. The rooms were clean comfortable and accommodating and the whole hotel felt safe with hand sanitisers screens and well spaced tables in the restaurant. The dinner and breakfast were tasty and generous. They also recommended a local bakery to supply a birthday cake which was really good. Its also well placed with only a short walk to the city centre and a carpark on site. I would recommend this as the place to stay for your trip to Galway city.

Harbour hotel is a lovely hotel set in the heart of Galway docks! 5 min walk from Spanish Arches, Eyre square & The Latin quarter & main train/bus station. Room was clean tidy & I was provided with sanitising wipes & a fresh remote. Hand sanitizer was throughout the hotel & all staff wore face coverings, so felt very comfortable with my stay in this current climate. Patricia on reception was a lovely lady & made me feel very welcome& also helped me throughout my stay. All staff that I spoke to in the breakfast/dinner/bar area were all so nice & friendly.

I stayed one night in the Harbour Hotel, I have stayed before and find the staff very friendly, The food is very good in the bar and quick. Rooms are good and very clean, heating is controlled from the room so you can adjust this which is not always the same in hotels. Its slightly out of the town but suited me,.

Just back from our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We are a family of 5 and need interconnecting rooms which this hotel can accommodate. Location is amazing with a 4 minute walk to eyre square shopping centre so ideal for us with smaller kids so not much walking, but yet in a quiet location. Great to park the car at the hotel and not need it again as everything is so close by. The rooms are cosy, clean and warm with complimentary water and lovely wee chocolates which the kids love!! Breakfast was delicious, especially the pancakes which were a big hit with the kids. Both lunch and evening menus are also available. We enjoyed dinner there in the bar on our last trip and it was yummy.
All the staff are very pleasant and helpful... there was a lovely lad in the bar (who was very good at making espresso martinis 😁) and ruairi who checked us in a reception was so friendly and efficient. We also met the manager Ali during our coming and goings and she was so kind to the kids with her bubbly personality. Overall a great place to stay for a short getaway in Galway. Looking forward to returning again.

We stayed 2 nights at The Harbour hotel and really enjoyed it. Covid-19 procedures are all in place with great signage and hand sanitiser available everywhere. Staff at the front desk and restaurant were very polite, efficient and friendly. Our room on the first floor was very clean and comfortable although it did not have adequate storage. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was very well organised and had ample choice on both the hot food menu and the self service area. The hotel is ideally situated for a trip to Galway city and Salthill.

I would think that there would not be a problem with this. Most hotels will do their best for their customer and guest. Ask, all they can say is no.
