Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location just a few minutes walk into the city. Staff at reception were pleasant and efficient. Booked a double room, the room was clean, had aircon, and looked to be newly done up. Minus one star for the bathroom, you could tell this was not renovated when the room was as it was a bit old fashioned. There is parking there that costs €10 per night for guests. Car park is small and spaces are tight. Lobby area was clean and modern. Would stay here again

This hotel is centrally located to the main areas of Galway- close to the Cathedral, City Museum, Spanish Arch or Latin Quarter. Bakebox was excellent for sweet and savoury pastries and Dough Bros terrific for tasty pizzas. The hotel breakfast was self serve from the buffet for both continental and cooked offerings. Nice to be able to cook your own toast. There was a small selection of ham/salami and cheeses. We had a king sized bed, safe and fridge in our room. The bathroom was adequate and had selection of push down containers for bath gel, shampoo and conditioner. Two of the windows opened a small amount . There were tasteful water colour pictures on one wall. We parked in the underground hotel car park at additional cost. Tour groups use this hotel.

We visited for two nights, the first of which was our anniversary. We were provided expedited access as we arrived early, and a lovely and thoughtful welcome amenity. The hotel is located within walking distance from the city center, the complimentary parking in an attached garage is a huge benefit, and the breakfast included with our room was filling and tasty. The room was spotless and very large, and the bed comfortable. The uniformly helpful, professional, and pleasant staff made the visit more than the sum of its parts. They really were first-rate. I recommend this property without (so to speak) reservation.

Room Tip: We booked a king superior and breakfast. If we were here again, I'd make the same choice.

My husband and I stayed at the Harbour Hotel during the Galway portion of our first visit to Ireland and it was a great experience. The location is very easy and walkable to many things, very comfortable rooms, good services and staff, and the restaurant/bar is great. We really thought the prices were reasonable for the comforts we received and we would stay there again during another Ireland trip.

My wife wasn't feeling well when we arrived and we decided to relax and stay in for the first night, we ordered the room service and it was fast and delicious. The breakfast buffet was delicious also, very convenient.

Would definitely stay again. Staff and resort was perfect. A short walk into town and around the building is the ferry terminal, we were there for a 40th anniversary trip and had special candies in the room and the front desk was very welcoming.

Def recommend. Great location, 5 mins walk from the city centre. Very quiet location at night. Bedroom spacious and comfortable bed. All staff were very friendly. Good breakfast. I cannot comment on value as cost was covered by company and I have no idea of what it did cost.

The restaurant staff at the Harbor Hotel are WONDERFUL. Ben provided excellent service at dinner, and it was busy. Front desk staff were efficient in checking us in, but not particularly helpful in finding places or providing directions. While the room was acceptable and the bed extremely comfortable, I was disappointed the only “view” was of the grey sky through the skylight. Make sure to put the blinds down, as the morning sun is extremely bright very early.
