We stayed for one night at the end of July. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Galway - we were also able to park our car just outside. We booked a king room, and were allocated an accessible room - the bathroom was a large wet room with great water pressure. The bed was very comfortable but unfortunately the room was very warm and when we opened the window there was a noisy vent from a neighbouring hotel kitchen located nearby which disturbed our sleep. The coffee machine in our room was not working.

Dear Alison, Thank you for your review of our property. We are delighted that you found the location so amenable. We were sorry to hear that your sleep was disturbed. Just to let you know we have acquired fans for all of our rooms to assist in the issue of heat, all of our coffee machines are checked on a regular basis, and a member of staff could have replaced for you, had we been aware, our apologies. We do hope that you will consider returning to stay with us, would love to welcome you back in the near future. Warm regards, The Lane Boutique Residence

This sport is very central and the value for the room i got was brilliant
Rooms not as big as a traditional hotel room but very comfortable , modern and cosy. Bathroom/shower was also impressive for the budget.
I was greeted by Raj at reception .. this guy is very professional and friendly, i stay in hotels regularly and he really stood out!

We stayed in the Lane boutique hotel on 7th of October. The hotel is very central to all areas in the city. Situated just off Eyre Square, it is only a 3 minute walk from the train and bus station. The receptionist was very friendly and informative, but the reception is not a 24 hour service. However, they do have an out of hours contact number should the need arise. Rooms are all on the 3rd Floor but the lift is not in operation. This is well indicated by the booking site and by the hotel themselves. They will provide a free porter service to carry your bags to your room if required. The rooms are small, but very comfortable, clean and warm. The bed too is very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a hair dryer is also provided. The bathroom is bully equipped with the Paul Costello range of toiletries and there is a great shower with a raindrop shower head. Excellent hotel for a short stay.

We had a great time staying at The Lane in Galway. Everyone we spoke to from the property were super helpful, friendly, and kind.

The rooms are small, but nothing shocking if you're used to European-style hotel rooms. We really enjoyed the rain shower head and nice shampoo and body wash that used containers made with recycled plastic. We did notice that outside noise was easy to hear from our room. We stayed from Wednesday - Saturday morning and I think the noise may be hard for light sleepers, especially Friday and Saturday nights. However, we had no issue!

They let us know well in advance that the elevator wasn't working while we were there, but it wasn't an issue for us. They also had a service for folks who would need help carrying their bags up the stairs, so if you have mobility issues it's still possible for you to stay here.

We would absolutely stay here again when we visit Galway next!

I drove from Kerry to Galway in a rental car. Luckily there is a carpark just around the corner from the Lane but there is also a bus station a few steps away so next time I will get the bus! I took the intercity bus to Dublin Airport on my way home - couldn't have been simpler. The Lane is very easy walking distance from the pedestrian areas of the central town and in the street where the accommodation is situated there are multiple choices for meals. It was also handy having a little supermarket across the road. I wasn't there long enough to try all the options available but I did eat at Classico next door about four times and found that extra convenient and good value. Staff at the Lane were welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. I have already discussed with them how good it would be if there was a small fridge in the room but if lack of space prohibits then maybe one for guest use in the foyer or elsewhere could be considered. 5 stars for comfort and convenience.

Great location, lovely staff, Oscar (dog) is cute, adorable and friendly to guests. Cleanliness, hygiene and front door security was good, we (myself & my partner) loved the smell of the diffusers. The website is very attractive and easy to navigate, however make sure you do navigate the website more than I did. We did not fully check parking and “Under One Roof” title we assumed there was a gym and other facilities here but it’s literally only residence and for that it’s good overall. We stayed in 315 it’s a very small room, no luggage or storage space, no iron, no air conditioning and our door rattled when we opened the window (this became annoying in the night), but perhaps they are trying there best to maximise the space. We just thought from the website the rooms would be bigger, although I didn’t see the other rooms. I wouldn’t say I would not stay here again but I’ll probably try another place on my next Galway visit (personal decision). Me and my partner wish the Residence well and it’s great to see businesses filled with customers again.

Stayed here for two nights while attending a conference at another hotel nearby. Room is perfect to get some comfortable rest. Complete with dolce gusto coffee machine, TV, fridge, a fan, and good WiFi, I had everything I needed. Self check in and express check out is super handy and the staff were incredible helpful both over the phone and in person. Value for money is great based on the location and in comparison other hotels in the area.

If you're looking for a place that serves breakfast, The Lane is not it as it is room only. Not a problem for me as I was leaving too early each day for breakfast anyway.

I would stay here again with no hesitation.

While the room was very small, we were quite happy with our stay. The room was air conditioned which helped as it’s been unseasonably warm. The hotel as a whole is small and tight, but for a good priced stay in the center of Galway it’s an awesome option. The bathroom was very nice, good large shower. The bed is a full size. A lot of reviews talk about parking. Parking was very easy, it’s located around the corner but connects you to the hotel through a short alley way. This means you don’t need to unload suit cases in the unloading zone in front of the hotel. I’d recommend having someone hop out in from of the hotel to grab directions to the parking before checking in, they’ll draw the location on a map for you. We called ahead of time to reserve parking, I’d highly recommend this as we only saw three spots available to the lane. They added the cost of parking to the room charge and made it quite easy. Overall we’d choose it again!

Tucked away boutique hotel in Galway, great location. Easy to walk to the action. Room was very nice, clean with a larger bathroom Room is small, but I've found that to be true in European hotels we've chosen to stay in. Coffeemaker in room. Staff was very helpful and accessible. No breakfast (for those inquiring). Facility has a lift, but it was not functional when we were there--it was in process of being serviced. Not good for anyone with some mobility issues, but when fixed, it's nice so luggage can be managed easier. Parking is off-site, close to facility in a parking garage. Hotel gives a voucher for discounted rate, which was nice. There was a fan in the room, which was great since many places do not have A/C. Would recommend to others considering a Galway stop.

Absolutely wonderful place! Massive issues with Ryanair which made us miss our first night and got stranded in Shannon and the hotel were so helpful with trying to help us get to Galway. Upon arrival the staff were so welcoming and friendly and even got a hello from Oscar the dog! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff when we asked about getting to places around Galway.

The room is a good enough size for what you need with a very comfy bed. Room is fully heated or air conned for what you prefer and there is no noise from the outside

The location is a 2 minute walk from the train/coach station and is very central to the centre and all the bars/restaurants.

Can’t recommend this place enough!
