Tucked away boutique hotel in Galway, great location. Easy to walk to the action. Room was very nice, clean with a larger bathroom Room is small, but I've found that to be true in European hotels we've chosen to stay in. Coffeemaker in room. Staff was very helpful and accessible. No breakfast (for those inquiring). Facility has a lift, but it was not functional when we were there--it was in process of being serviced. Not good for anyone with some mobility issues, but when fixed, it's nice so luggage can be managed easier. Parking is off-site, close to facility in a parking garage. Hotel gives a voucher for discounted rate, which was nice. There was a fan in the room, which was great since many places do not have A/C. Would recommend to others considering a Galway stop.…
The location is perfect, right in the centre. The staff were great. The rooms were small with no wardrobe which was fine for me as I only stayed two nights, I would stay again but probably not if I was staying for longer.
Lovely hotel room with coffee maker, lovely decor and a really comfortable bed and bedding. Really good location in Galway city centre with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Helpful staff at reception. I would certainly stay again and would recommend.
Stayed here for two nights while attending a conference at another hotel nearby. Room is perfect to get some comfortable rest. Complete with dolce gusto coffee machine, TV, fridge, a fan, and good WiFi, I had everything I needed. Self check in and express check out is super handy and the staff were incredible helpful both over the phone and in person. Value for money is great based on the location and in comparison other hotels in the area. If you're looking for a place that serves breakfast, The Lane is not it as it is room only. Not a problem for me as I was leaving too early each day for breakfast anyway. I would stay here again with no hesitation.
My partner and I stayed at The Lane for a night. Having lived in the city, we were expecting a hotel in the heart of Galway to be loud, but it was worse than we could have imagined. Our room gave directly on the street where the pubs are located, which was one thing, but it seemed like the building wasn’t soundproof at all - everything could be heard as if the windows were open, even though they were closed. Aside from that, it was also very hard to sleep as the room had blackout curtains that weren’t properly fitted, and the bathroom had no curtain - only a glass door separated the bed from the bathroom, so the light from the street lights was coming in. There was also a bright green light over the bed (possibly a security light) that couldn’t be turned off and kept us up for most of the night. The locks are also just regular old-fashioned keys and feel very fragile, so I’d be reluctant to leave my belongings in the hotel while out and about. I’m still giving the hotel two stars because it was very clean, the room looked lovely, and it’s very convenient to stay there if you’re travelling from the coach station early in the morning - just don’t expect to get much sleep! …
The Lane is very central and kept very clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room (318) was well appointed but compact with little or no storage space for clothes. There was TV, coffee maker, nice slimline fridge, hairdryer and a very good moon pool shower. Car parking was €10 extra per day. Excellent base for exploring Galway City.
Service above & beyond Fabulous location and a warm welcome the hotel had a complimentary bottle of bubbles chocolates and a ballon in the room for my birthday so thoughtful room modern amazing shower but the staff omg we decided to stay another night but they were booked out their receptionist rang around other hotels trying to find us accommodations she was so friendly and professional what a team they have here could not give high enough praise
Great location, lovely staff, Oscar (dog) is cute, adorable and friendly to guests. Cleanliness, hygiene and front door security was good, we (myself & my partner) loved the smell of the diffusers. The website is very attractive and easy to navigate, however make sure you do navigate the website more than I did. We did not fully check parking and “Under One Roof” title we assumed there was a gym and other facilities here but it’s literally only residence and for that it’s good overall. We stayed in 315 it’s a very small room, no luggage or storage space, no iron, no air conditioning and our door rattled when we opened the window (this became annoying in the night), but perhaps they are trying there best to maximise the space. We just thought from the website the rooms would be bigger, although I didn’t see the other rooms. I wouldn’t say I would not stay here again but I’ll probably try another place on my next Galway visit (personal decision). Me and my partner wish the Residence well and it’s great to see businesses filled with customers again.…
This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Rooms are spotless, fantastic location. Only small negatives are the limited parking spots belong to the hotel and the rooms are very small.
We stayed for one night at the end of July. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Galway - we were also able to park our car just outside. We booked a king room, and were allocated an accessible room - the bathroom was a large wet room with great water pressure. The bed was very comfortable but unfortunately the room was very warm and when we opened the window there was a noisy vent from a neighbouring hotel kitchen located nearby which disturbed our sleep. The coffee machine in our room was not working.
