Our group of 4 stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our cycling trip with West Ireland Cycling. Marie and her family are lovely! The beds were very comfortable and the location is perfect for exploring Galway. Breakfast is fantastic with lots of options (definitely have the traditional Irish breakfast) .
Theo and Bruno, the resident cat and dog, are so sweet and will accept your affection if you are an animal lover, but leave you alone if you are not:

We had 3 nights at Inishmore B&B in Galway. The breakfasts are great, internet is fast, people are friendly, rooms and lounge area great, parking off the street and all in a good location.

If you leave Inishmore B&B and head to the left there is a pub about 50 meters and also a good Indian takeaway open until 11pm. If you go a further 10 minutes to Salthill we loved the Jazz at the Black Cat Restaurant Sunday at 7pm and good tapas and then we walked back about halfway to a most impressive live music pub called O'Connors. The band was great and the decorations and setting of the pub are amazing.

If you leave Inishmore B&B and head to the right there is a supermarket/off licence about 4 minutes walk and a bit further on you are in the centre of the restaurant district in the middle of Galway.

I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. It is just a fantastic place to stay with buckets of ambience and character. There is a great warmth to this guesthouse and Marie and Peter are excellent hosts. The rooms are very comfortable, spotless and are beautifully decorated and the food is as good as any 5 star! The breakfast menu is truly excellent with smoked salmon, pancakes, french toast, fruit, homemade marmalade and good variety of breads available. Everything is homemade and much better than some 4*/5* hotels I have stayed in. The guesthouse is ideally located within walking distance to Galway City and Salthill. Enjoy a stay here, it's a truly great find in Galway. I can't wait to go back.

We arrived after the 2-6 PM check-in window (though we did call ahead and were told that would be okay) and it seems they were not very happy that we didn't arrive earlier. We got what felt like a pretty cold greeting. We were put out in a "guest house" in the back yard. It felt more like a shed converted into an extra place to house people. While the bathroom was in pretty good condition and seemingly recently renovated, that was really the end of what was nice about the unit. The furnishings were very well worn and dusty. The main bed was a double bed so it was pretty tight for two people. There was another bed in the unit but it was more like a cot and essentially not fit for sleeping on. The mini refrigerator had been unplugged for some time and was room temperature, musty, and dirty. The unit itself, being in the back yard and detached from the house, felt unsafe. We had a door that locked but we didn't dare leave the windows open at night (they swung out pretty wide) not knowing for sure how safe the area was. The room, though, was very musty and warm. There was no fan in the unit at all either so it was a pretty warm night of sleep.

While I imagine that they do have free WiFi, we weren't able to use it. After our less than enthusiastic greeting and check in, they forgot to mention the WiFi password. There is also no guest information paper or booklet in the unit so you don't have any information to go off of. I felt like if I went to the front building and rang the doorbell again (no I was not given a key or any sort of access to the main building), I would be further inconveniencing them. (There is no 24 hour staff as it appears this place is run entirely by a couple and their children.)

The free parking that is advertised is a bit misleading as well. There are really only three parking spots on site. If more than three cars show up, you are left to either find a spot on the street (like we had to) or you park your car in their driveway blocking all other guests from getting in/out.

The breakfast included in the price was pretty good. There were multiple options and lots of additional things to eat while they cooked your breakfast.

That being said, this is a place that I wouldn't recommend and will definitely never stay at again. The ratings this place has received seem very over-inflated based on my experience.

Someone who works here is a smoker. The smell permeated Inishmore House. Wouldn't have stayed here if we'd known. The tripadvisor page says "all rooms are non-smoking," but that statement may not apply to the owner's/operator's quarters. Not a fan of the velvet painting in the room, but perhaps that grated because of the smoke smell. The "private car park," in our experience, was out on the street.

We stayed for one night here and it was the perfect start to our holidays in the West. The location is excellent, 10mins walk to Galway and 10mins the other way to Salthill and a lovely beach. Facilities spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, we stayed in chalet with our 2 dogs and my mother stayed in the house, couldn't fault anything. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Marie was so friendly, welcoming and recommended a fab place to eat. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we would totally recommend a stay here.

our first time staying here, and it will not be our last, it`s a home away from home and it`s Marie and Peter who make it that way, nothing is to much for them to make you feel like a member of the family, this dog friendly accommodation, hits all the right buttons, it`s a few minutes walk to either Galway City, or Salthill, and shorter to the beach, and we had a chalet at the back, which was a lovely a and large building, it was clean and comfortable, and the bed was so soft, breakfast was freshly cooked, with a nice selection of cereals, and cold meat, we LOVED it so much we rebooked Inishmore house for later in the year,

Me and my friend have made a stopover in Galway during our road trip. When booking a place to stay, we were hesitating b/w a hotel and Inishmore House. We glad we chose this B&B at the end. The owner is extremely helpful and nice. The house itself has 7 bedrooms. The rooms are perfect for short stays and only 10 minute walk from the city center, so you won't have any problems to walk home from there after a couple of drinks. The rooms come with breakfast, which is typical, good quality, filling Irish breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would definately return if we are ever back in Galway.

We had a wonderful stay at Inishmore House last week. The house is only about 10-15 minutes by foot from downtown Galway. Several pubs and restaurants on the way to the city. Breakfast was excellent! One of the best ones we had during our week in various inns/hotels in Ireland. Very comfortable room in a cozy home. Staff were fantastic as well!

We stayed at Inishmore 2 nights while touring. Great location for seeing Galway, in walking distance to main part of town. Marie provided everything we needed - including outstanding breakfast! We'd stay there again!
