I only stayed at this place one night, but was treated like a king. The twin brothers who own the guest house are really nice and helpful people. The buffet breakfast was also really great. I'll go back there any day.
Easy walk to city centre, excellent staff, good sized room, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Parking available at front of building(off road). Breakfast was good. Staff made many suggestions as to places to visit and pubs and restaurants to enjoy.
Arrived here on our motorbikes to see that the car park was not really suitable to park them due to the fairly steep slope but left the bikes on the other side of the road which was fine. The person who opened the door seemed a tad grumpy and rather than showing us to our rooms and letting us get out of our kit, wanted us to sort out the payment first. Weird as they would have already had our payment details from the booking so no need to do this whilst we're sweltering in bike kit. The room was clean, the shower worked, the wifi worked, once you realised you had to sign into the service (details in the hotel book but not explained by our hostess). We didn't have breakfast as it wasn't included in our booking but we did receive a smile on our departure. It's about a 15-20 minute walk into the centre of Galway and there's a lot of B&B's along this road, nearer to the Centre and if we visit here again then we'd be looking at booking one of these rather than come here again.…
We had a very nice stay in Abbey Lodge. Great rooms, short walk to the city center. Lots of helpful information available and a wonderful breakfast. Cannot fault and would love to stay again. We would highly recommend if coming to Galway.
Abbey Lodge was not the original guest house booked for us but the place was just perfect for our needs & John was very nice & accommodating. He made sure we had hot breakfast & being able to communicate with the tour company for our pick up location. We requested him to mail our postcard & indeed when we got back here in the US my coworkers asked what is in Galway that will make them visit the place too. Plenty to share with friends!
Was looking for a B&B in Galway City Center - so glad we stayed here. Lovely rooms, not far to the city center. Can't fault one bit. Room was nice a clean and breakfast was great. Parking was available too which was a major bonus. Thanks
Spent one night at this lovely B&B. The parking is interesting (on a slope). The room was not huge but was adequate with a nice bathroom. The staff was helpful and friendly. We easily walked to the city center for dinner.
Excelent B&B. Extremely clean , well maintained and comfortable house. Lovely and helpful staff. 15 minutes walking distance from the city centre. Very quite house. It is offered many facilities, like laundry service, tour booking, and others in very reasonable prices. Definitely, every time that I visit Galway , I will stay there again.
Me and my girlfriend stayed in the B&B for 4 days and we are very have with what we got, the staff are very kind and helpful, furthermore the room was always tidy and clean, and the options for the breakfast are awesome, we had such an amazing time there, it's highly recommended for anyone who would like to have comfort and be close to the main square and the bus station.
We arrived late on the saturday evening which was no problem. We were shown to our room which was very spacious, nice, very modern. Staff were great. We walked into Eyre Square which was only a 10 minute walk. Very handy. would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.
