Simple yet elegant menu. All dishes executed with style. Quality food products. Our server Lucile offered great knowledge of offerings and some great recommendations. Desserts fab, cheesecake and apple pie homemade and delish.

Walked from hotel to The Huntsman. Was early Friday so quickly seated. Drinks were prompt, and service good. Loved how attentive server was to little girl at next table. Food was ok, but nothing special. I thought the prices were a bit high, but I realize inflation is worldwide now.

Excellent hotel, warm friendly, welcoming staff, nothing was too much trouble. Great location, around 15 minutes walk into Galway but it was nice not to get in the town centre. Free parking right outside the hotel too. We ate here at night and had breakfast and the good & service are excellent. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Lunch and dinner menu very little choice and same options on both menus. Food not appetising and especially when your presented with food not cooked properly and veg still frozen in middle. Very disappointing paying alot of money for this sort of meal. Room €160 and no breakfast included. Certain staff and management not overly friendly. Very clean hotel and rooms but disappointing when food is not up to scratch. Wont be returning

We were in Galway for St. Patricks day, 2022. We decided to go to The Huntsman for dinner. Best meal, sea food chowder, fantastic. Great place, great staff, who brought out our desserts and sang Happy Birthday to me and my 4 yr old daughter. Thank you to all at the Huntsman Galway.

We were staying locally in a guest house and visited The Huntsman for our evening meal. OMG I had the best fish chowder ever. My partner had something else which he also loved. The guinness also went down a treat. The staff were so pleasant and nothing was too much for them. The German barman was so lovely chatted to us while he worked like a trouper. He was amazing. The whole place was clean, and although very busy, staff ensured that the tables were cleared and clean as soon as meals were finished. Toilets were immaculate also. Car parking free in front and walking distance to Galway city centre was about 10 minutes. Nice and local to the Sportsground so we went to watch the rugby. All in all a great place to visit and I would highly recommend it. I will be back!

Awful. To say the least. The afternoon staff were lovely change it up to the attitude of the manager and 1 bar person and it was a whole other level of rudeness and ill mannered treatment. When we complained the next day on checking out. I know that he didn't listen. Def never recommend here again.

Just had an extended lunch in the Huntsman with my friends. The food was fab and of the highest quality. Our server was Olivia who was super and went over and above to check we were all ok, a few times during our meal , and could not do enough for us. Chatted with us and was so so pleasant As some of us are gluten intolerant, we asked Olivia about this, and she asked the chefs and came back with the options that we could have. I must say, this is not the norm in most restaurants and compliment Olivia and the chefs in this. Well done to the owners who have such diligent, thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable member of staff in Olivia, you are truly blessed. A great asset to the company. A 10 star ⭐️ from us for The Huntsman and for Olivia. We will be back.

Ate there yesterday evening 23/2/22 with my family. The food was lovely however the service was extremely poor. From the attitude of the front of house staff (male) , waiting almost half an hour for our order to be taken all the while trying to get the attention of the wait staff, plates cleared and no mention of dessert menus. Not impresssed.
