We received a phone call cancelling our stay at 3pm on the day we were due to arrive, forcing us into a last minute search for somewhere else to stay locally the day before a bank holiday weekend. Totally unapologetic, unfriendly and unhelpful. We note from previous comments here that this is not the first time they have done this to customers. Wish we had checked before we booked. Avoid at all costs, or you will be left stranded.
John the barman is an absolute liability to the office bar business, rude, temperamental and saying nasty comments under his breath. If the owner had any cop on he'd sort him out fairly soon. Me and my friends will not be back if John is still there.
Good location close to the prom and bars, restaurants etc. Room was basic but clean, in need of update. Bathroom was small but clean - also in need of update. Staff were friendly. Parking is nearby but you have to pay (reasonable price). The pics don’t really illustrate the reality if I’m honest but if you just want to get your head down for a night, it’s ok
Group of 4 of us were to stay here tonight - we got a message TODAY to say that 'they made a mistake with their availability' and couldn't accommodate us. We rang them and they were totally unapologetic. This is unacceptable - the cancellation policy for customers is that 'you may cancel free of charge until 2 days before arrival. You will be charged the total price of the reservation if you cancel in the 2 days before arrival'. Yet how is it that they can cancel on the day of our booking - beyond a joke. Avoid at all costs.
Absolutely appalled with the Manager Martin!I had contacted him in relation to booking a party in which he confirmed he could host the party and just to call in to go through the booking then when we met it was a different story it was like he didn't like my appearance after finishing a days work and a workout in the gym I arrived in my workout gear he was rude, arrogant and degrading. Told multiple lies and contradicted himself numerous times. Safe to say i won't be booking any parties there.
