Stayed in room 13 on New Year's Eve 2016 with my partner who booked the room. Allowing for the fact that it was New Year's Eve and a last minute booking the room was vastly overpriced (€275 pn v €135 for following w/end and cheaper later in the year) which led to a feeling of being exploited. I admit to...

Room was clean and spacious, we arrived late for check in, but was met at reception by a very pleasant girl. Breakfast was very delicious. out of the way far enough to be away from the city but still close enough to enjoy it.

I had an attic room, and so the window doesn't open. With no fans, it made for a very stuffy room. The reception staff were quite friendly upon arrival. We found the room too small, and the TV miniscule. The location was not convenient at all; thankfully we had a car, but even then, we still had to drive a...

Due to its location, I am not sure whom is this accommodation meant for. Maybe for people who arrive by car and don't want to bother with parking in the city centre. Maybe it is meant for people who stay in-door, cook their own meals there and then leave. It is located in a residential suburb, far from the centre...

We stayed two nights at Amber Heights. The room was clean and cozy and breakfast was especially delicious (choice of continental or full Irish). The staff was friendly and gave us maps and information about Galway and the surrounding area. If you don't have a car, you'll either have to take a taxi or walk ten minutes to the bus...

Less than 12 minutes from the city centre by bus (route 405)the B&B is comfortable and quiet. Everything was clean and comfortable and the shower had excellent pressure and heat. The only downfall is the wifi in our room (5) was quite weak. The lounge room had a homely feel and staff were polite and professional.

Amber Heights decor and cleanliness were beyond reproach. Staff were friendly and the Irish breakfast was great. The rooms were spacious and attractive. This truly is value for money without compromising on quality.

I was in Galway with two other friends, and decided to sleep in this guesthouse for two nights. my main problem was that we book a room for three guys and it was so small. we got a twin bed and one single. the twin was too narrow for two men. and it wasn't comfortable. we had to carry our...

The Amber (both b&b and houses) are located on a quiet hill not so close to downtown or salthill promenade. Approaching is very difficult in the afternoon from 16 to 18:30 due to high traffic at end of work time. The worst is that Amber is an hostel that does cost as an hotel. Terrific! On the day before my...

Our problem was that we do generally not stay in guesthouse, we prefer traditional hotel. So our first impression was a big disappointment!!!! Our problem. BUT even with this we liked the house as well as the room. It is a little bit "old fashion ", especially the bathroom, but very friendly receptionists made our staying really good one. Consider...
