Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Do not stay here. The staff kicked me and my other friend out with no previous warning. We were left on the street that morning and when I asked about my car being parked with them they said I could keep it there but then proceeded to purchase a clamp that very day (I know this as the owner later confessed his staff just bought it that day) and used it on my car as they were angry that my friend gave out about kicking us out because of ‘noise complaints’ without any pre warning. And when I discovered this clamp they weren’t even able to take it off and had to wait hours for them to work it out. Of course they kept all the money of the apartment to themselves and even tried to charge me for ‘clamp removal’ with an extra 50 euro because they said it was separate to the hotel (again another lie as the owner and staff themselves were the ones to attempt to remove it with a key and bought it that day). It seemed they didn’t care and even held some sort of feelings towards me and my friends to go through all that effort or maybe it was all about the money, I do not know?

Well-located, very nice apartment allowing for a very pleasant stay. Highly recommend and would stay again. The only issue was trouble was finding it, as we didn't know that we would check-in at the Western Hotel, and no one we asked on the street was able to help us

We stayed for 10 days and were very happy with our apartment. It was comfortable and adequately equipped. Given the location and amenities, I’d say it’s an excellent value. The kitchen is sparsely equipped if you wish to cook (e.g. no knives for chopping, slicing, etc). Eyre Square and the shopping district are an easy walk from the apartment. Groceries are available close by at both M&S and Dunnes. The train and bus terminals are maybe a 5 minute walk. Having the resources of the Western Hotel is a definite advantage. We would stay here again.

Six friends stayed in two apartments very central. Deposit is 250 on each room you book. We enjoyed our stay here except one or two issues. was very much clean bit of wear and tear. Non smoking so we smoked out side. Parking seemed to be quite a maze cars squeezed in were they could. You wouldn’t want to be leaving in a hurry. We ran out of toilet roll which is pretty much one of the basic needs asked for more at reception was told it would be left up to us an hour later still no sign went down to ask again lady on reception said she had rang someone that’s all she could do basically with a smile on her face how hard is it really to just give someone a roll of toilet paper I am still waiting on it till this day. Other then tat issue was fine just wasn’t pleased how she handled it. Galway it’s self is a fabulous place to visit

I visited apartments with my sister in law and niece for the Christmas market. Location is superb just off Eyre Square. Apartments were comfortable and quiet even though still central to everything. Would highly recommend. The staff in the hotel where you check in were excellent and friendly and helpful. Apartments are just around the corner from hotel only 1 minute walk . Car safely parked up for duration of stay in hotel underground car park.

Great location just a few minutes walk from Eyre Square. It's done a small road in a residential area so there was very little noise. Bars, shops and restaurants within 5-10 minute walk. Great value compared to hotels in the city centre. It was cheaper for us 4 adults to stay in this 2 bedroom apartment than 1 hotel room! Apartment was clean and spacious with modern yet basic facilities. (Washing machine, fully stocked kitchen ware, hair dryer and tv) Free parking offered nearby. However, it is very cramped and underground. To park here you must leave your car keys with the valet so that he can move your car as cars are parked blocking each other. I would recommend leaving your luggage at the apartment then parking in the car park at the train station. It is a 5 minute walk away but only €6 for 24hours. This suited us as we did not require our car during our stay. TIP: a visit to O'Connells bar on Eyre Square is a must. It appears to be a small bar at first but there is a large beer garden at the back where they serve fresh and tasty pizzas!

The St. Bridget's Apartments are an excellent location - just a few minutes walk to the centre of Galway town, with several large supermarkets also nearby. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped and the lounge/dining area comfortable enough. Although there were carparks outside some apartments, we had to park in the basement of the adjacent Western Hotel - which is also the reception, so it's a little further to go with luggage on arrival and departure. To some extent, the apartment experience was diminished by an oddly small bedroom. The room only just fitted a double bed, with insufficient room on one side to fit a side table and access on the other side blocked by a wardrobe - no chance of having suitcases in the bedroom. To be fair, the bed was comfortable so sleeping was fine - just some effort required getting in and out. Overall, definitely more pluses than minuses - particularly the location and having somewhere to park our rental car. Even booking direct and well in advance the rate wasn't particularly good, so less than average value for money. From a convenience perspective, however, this worked well for us, so we would recommend staying here.

We visited Galway during the arts festival and had a fantastic time during our stay. We arrived at the accomodation and checked in easily however the parking is hard to find. The accomodation is very basic for the cost however I'm aware that is Galway in general. Only concerns were the lack of curtains in the bedroom (there are blinds but they don't block out the lighy) and perhaps a yale lock on the external door might add an extra layer of security.

I absolutely loved my time here, the location was fantastic and the room and facilities were all spotless.. Found it a bit strange that i could not park outside of my apartment but in a carpark that i had to leave my keys with reception for the valet "chef" to move. The exterior of the property, especially up around apartments number 12 desperately need a power wash. This will not effect your stay whatsoever, just an observation! I asked before our stay as i booked two rooms would i need to pay double the deposit, they ensured me i would not have to, but i had to pay €500 deposit on arrival, which to be fair was returned very quickly upon departure.
