Clochard B&B is a 15 minute walk to the city centre, in a quiet area, with private car parking. The hosts are very welcoming and they offer good advice for a round trip to Connemara (worth a visit, by the way!). Splendid breakfast, comfortable rooms, and pleasant conversation with the hosts if you like. And if you want to eat...

Pat and Helena were nice hosts. They offered to let us watch the all-Ireland Gaeilic Football match with them and recommended a delightful pub when we declined. They served a good Irish breakfast. The room was small by American standards, but comfortable. Their location was a bit hard to find because of incomplete directions given by our travel agency.

We traveled from Seattle to Galway, Ireland for a family wedding and stayed at the Clochard B&B for 4 wonderful nights. Pat & Helena make you feel very welcome as soon as you walk in the door of their lovely B&B. The rooms are clean and fresh and very comfortable. The highlight of our stay was the amazing breakfasts we...

Note -this place was VERY hard to find. It is located exactly at the intersection of Shantalla Rd. and Colmcille Rd. It's surrounded by a high stone wall, thus is difficult to spot. (it's a tiny offshoot of Shantalla Rd with four or five houses on it) Shantalla Road runs straight down into the city center at Wolf Tone bridge,...

Thank you for your review. Clochard, 4 Spires gardens, Galway is not so difficult to fined at all. Down load Google maps, on your I phone, smartphone or i pad and the directions are exact to the door bell. By the way Google maps so far is a free service. Pat

Clochard and especially Helena epitomizes Irish hospitality. We were greeted with tea and cakes after a long drive from Dublin and shown to our lovely room overlooking Helena,s passion, her beautiful, patio full of potted flowers. She is obviously a master gardener. The whole property indoor and out is amazingly clean and well run. Starched linens, fantastic ensuite bedroom and amazing...

I was fortunate to spend 6 nights at Clochard -3 at the start of a 12 day Ireland adventure, and 3 at the end of our journey. I was traveling with my husband and another couple from US. We were lucky to be traveling with friends who had stayed at Clochard on several previous occasions. As soon as we entered...

This is my 4th stay with Pat and Helena over 13 years...they are awesome and treat you like family. There were four of us this visit and each of us reflect on how special Pat and Helena made our visit because of their B & B, kindness, hospitality, stories, and food (love the homemade jams). Clochard is walking distance to...

lovely B&B, with lovely, friendly helpful owners. Upon arrival, we were Greeted with homemade muffins....the only time during our eight nights in Ireland. Breakfasts were also the best we experienced. Scones were wonderful. Owners Pat and Helena were warm, helpful and very attentive.

The owners are very kind, in fact they booked for us the ferry to Aran Islands avoiding us a very long queque, but they speak very quickly so we was a bit in difficulty to understand. According to my friends and I probabily it could be better to pay more attention to cleaning. The position of the B&B is in...

This was our third visit to Clochard and, once again, this homely B&B didn't disappoint. It's just a 15 minute stroll to Galway city centre and everything is provided for an enjoyable stay. The owners couldn't do enough for us including helping us plan our trip to the spectacular Arran Islands. The bedroom and loo was scrupulously clean and the...
