Marian was a great hostess! Loved talking to her. Never felt like we were rushed. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. It was very convenient as we were 2/3 blocks away from the bus for downtown Galway. She referred us to Moran's restaurant for some wonderful Galway oysters and seafood. I would highly recommend this... More

We arrived at The Birches without any difficulty and were greeted cheerfully, shown to our lovely room and offered tea or coffee to be brought up by Marian, a delightful start to our stay in Oranmore! She also brought scrumptious cake which we were delighted to see offered again in the morning. The room was a spacious ensuite with a... More

Comme vu sur Booking et Trip Advisor, accueil très chaleureux, chambre impeccable, petit-déjeuner à en mourir tellement il est garni et abondant ! Vivement recommandé et bien situé pour les différentes visites. Marian est une personne en or ! Saw the comments on TripAdvisor and Booking and it's like exactly what they announced. Warm and kind welcoming, the bedroom was... More

It was by the grace of God that we ended up at the Birches Bed and Breakfast. My newly wedded husband and I hopped off a plane in Dublin the morning of our arrival and decided that we didn't want to stay in Dublin as we had planned. Instead, we decided to start our journey westward. Unfortunately, mid-way through jet-lag... More

the location to village of oranmore was ideal , just a short walk. the bedrooms were very spacious and the bathroom also . the shower could have been cleaned a bit more as hairs were found in the shower which was not nice to see. the breakfast was a very poor quality as each morning the bacon was as if... From the warm welcome provided by proprietor, Marian, to the cheery departure our stay at The Birches was delightful. A cosy, clean and comfortable room with tea/coffee facilities was augmented by courtesy 'welcome' coffee with muffins provided by the hostess. A good night's sleep in a delightful part of County Galway was complemented by the breakfast fare - a plentiful... More

Marrion looks after you well. Great location just outside Galway city. Room to park car. Lovely breakfast and rooms. Stayed as part of Wedding Anniversary celebrations. Took a drive round Connemara when there too.

Marian, our hostess greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome. It was an absolute delight to stay here in her immaculately clean and comfortable home. We walked into town for a meal at a local Irish pub called Keanes which was also a good choice. Marian provided a delicious breakfast if fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal followed by a... More

The pictures I saw when booking don't do this place justice. The house is spotlessly clean and everything felt well-maintained and comfortable. They clearly spent a great deal of care tending the garden out back as well (great view of this from room #1). To top it off, the scones were delicious.

We are a family of four. We have been this summer at The Birches Bed and Breakfast and we have won great memories there. We found everything clean and care. The house was beautiful. The treatment we received was excellent, Marian is charming. The setting was lovely. It's an experience and a house very very highly recommended.
