Comfortable room, great location to walking pier and town, excellent wifi, good value. Has in-house restaurant (Oliveto) for breakfast and dinner. Restaurant has very good pizza, other courses aren't good values.

We visited with my 99 year old Grandmother. Nice location but the bar was very busy and noisy. The lobby was lovely and quiet with nice sofas and coffee tables, however we were told by the manager we could only be served tea or coffee in the lobby but no food or even cakes.

Myself and my wife stayed here recently on a visit to family in Dublin. We were blown away by the friendliness of the staff and how helpful they were. The room was to a high standard, spacious and clean and we were lucky enough to have a view out over the sea. We had breakfast both mornings which was really...

Stayed here for the 3rd time last month and we just fell in love with the hotel even more. Each and every member of staff are so so accommodating, friendly and inviting hence why we have booked to stay again next month for my husbands birthday......the views from here are just amazing to say the least. The bedrooms are absolutely...

You will be enticed about the location, and you will be happy about the price, and you might be content with old style, BUT you will not sleep a single moment. The hotel lobby turns into a EXTREMELY load bar and the crappy restaurant with ill mannered staff will not understand why their customers (not hotel guests) are allowed to...

We stayed here recently and were pleasantly surprised as it was much more than what we might have been expecting. Looking at the website, rooms are described as crash pads, cozy, comfort, classic and deluxe. As we were getting the final room the choice was cozy or cozy!! While it was a small room, it was very well designed and...

I stayed at this hotel recently and was very pleased. However, a few points to note, the car park was very hard to find......I'd suggest calling hotel in advance for directions or you could drive up to front of hotel and ask them but you needed a code to enter car park so you need to go to hotel first...

This was a nice hotel to stay in, great location by the sea. Nothing overly special about it, A-typical really. While reception was small & receptionist was pleasant i thought a more professional attire would have been suitable. Nice bar & dinning area.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on the seafront in Dun Laoghaire, Haddington House has panoramic views of Dublin Bay. Originally four Victorian townhouses the hotel began its life as Haddington House, a finishing school for girls, before being converted into a hotel in the 1950s. We are continuing to develop the hotel property but in keeping with the unique heritage of the building. Our fifty en suite bedrooms have flat screen multi-channel TV's, free WiFi, Nespresso coffee machines, digital radios, hair dryers and filtered still and sparkling water. Our newer 'Classic' and 'Deluxe' rooms also come with an in-room safe, a mini fridge stocked with fresh milk, as well as a complimentary Irish Times. Most of the rooms in these categories also have spectacular sea views. Oliveto, the award-winning restaurant with views of the sea, serves Italian-inspired fare and is extremely popular so booking is highly recommended. There's also two unique events spaces: The Library Bar and Oak Room, a lobby bar and a buzzy garden overlooking the sea complete with a Hut Bar. The location is hard to beat with Dun Laoghaire DART station just a 5-minute walk away which provides regular rail connections to Dublin's city centre. The Aviva Stadium and the RDS can be reached after a 10-minute DART rail journey. If you're staying in the area, we have partnered up with a number of local businesses so guests can enjoy discounts on activities. The beautiful village of Dalkey is a short trip down the coast and is great for an afternoon's ramble. Directly opposite us is the historic east pier which was built especially for the arrival of Queen Victoria in 1900. Around the corner is the National Maritime Museum and the James Joyce Tower made famous by Ulysses is just a 5-minute walk away. If you fancy a dip, we'll supply you with towels for a visit to the well-known swimming spot, the 40 foot (beware of the seals!) We look forward to welcoming you to Haddington House. ... more   less
