Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Temple Bar Inn has excellent reservations staff in Mr. Otavio and Ms. Satsuki as well as housekeeping staff👍👏🤗! Mr. Otavio volunteered to ring my home number so I could give my CC details to him. He was also able to match the lower TBI rate that I found in another travel site. What a smooth and pleasant Inn reservation experience for me😊! Ms. Satsuki answered my questions thoroughly; hence, I knew that the rooms have no refrigerator and that reception has conditioner for the hair. She offered to keep food in their reception refrigerator, if needed. TBI’s Housekeeping Staff replenished our coffee, tea, water, face towels and hair caps daily; made our bed and emptied the trash bins daily. They changed our towels every two days and our beddings twice during our 22-29 May 2023 stay. TBI’s rooms are small compared to Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn rooms in the US but it has many plusses, including its proximity to the Dublin Express (airport transfer) Aston Quay stop, short walks to all the day tours’ pick-up and drop-off spots, good restaurants, Marks and Spencer, Dublin’s points of interest and Tesco market, which is in the same building’s ground floor. TBI’s greatest assets are without doubt their Staff👏👏👏! Option for prospective TBI guests: When flights arrive at 4 a.m., instead of checking in at 5:30 a.m., check in at 3:00 p.m. TBI has a spacious reception area with comfortable couches and chairs and a restaurant. We booked our stay from the day before so we could check in hoping to sleep. Despite Mr. Otavio ensuring we were assigned a room on the top floor in the back of the Inn, I was unable to sleep that morning because it was the time when cleaning was ongoing. It also seemed like there was a floor above our room with someone dragging furniture. Security staff confirmed that there are no living spaces above the 4th floor.

Great location in Temple Bar but rooms far too small for the price which was hiked up because rugby was on. Aircon not working and too noisy to sleep with the window open. A fan was provided, which was also noisy. Nice quiet bar downstairs showing sport, which was usually empty.

Great hotel! Clean and comfortable, perfect location for our city break. Easily accessible from the airport express bus stop, in the temple bar area but not in the middle of all the noise! Hotel able to have our room ready for early arrival. We had standard room which was clean and comfortable, but would have been good to have some drawers for some clothes. Breakfast excellent...plenty of choice, would definitely recommend this place!

Great lobby vibe, and comfortable lounge to have a glass of wine. Rooms are small but have everything you need and set up well. Location is fantastic in the Temple Bar area and close to Trinity College, but that means you also get the noise at night. They do provide ear plugs by your bed. Good service and friendly.

A traveling companion booked rooms here for our group and the consensus was .. why? It wasn’t a bad stay but we agreed the only thing it has is a great location if you want to be in the middle of the action. We did enjoy The Palace pub directly across the street and live traditional music upstairs. The hotel is really ‘trendy’ from the lobby to the bar/restaurant to room decor w gold color and glitz so if you’re 20-30 something and no kids .. my room was a std Dbl and adequate. I had to get on my hands and knees to locate an electrical outlet placed underneath a shelf. No bureau or closet. Smallest bathroom of the 4 hotels on this trip. At checkin our rooms were all hotter than blazes and required opening windows and turning on the fans even though it was in the 50s outside. I was at the back of the hotel so had no noise issues. Others at the front had booming bass and street noise till the wee hours. We ate meals elsewhere as the decor was just off putting to us but the menu looked pretty std. It’s ok, just wasn’t for us.

Arrived Friday afternoon. Lift was out of order. I use a wheelchair. Reception is in basement. Room on 2nd floor. Trundle round to rear service entrance yard, building site. Platform lift to basement. Check in. Then secondary lift to my room. Room good size and accessible bathroom well designed with grab rails, space to turn my chair around. I can shuffle short distances. The floor tiles are like an ice rink when wet however. Lift service restored that evening. On departure the lift was broken again. No one bothered putting out of order notices on the lift doors on my floor.

Absolutely loved this place! I must admit when I booked it I was a bit unsure if it would be the right choice for a first nights stay after coming off an international red eye flight. I had read reviews where some people complained about the noise and some complained about the smell from room deodorizers. But the location just seemed so perfect and I really wanted to immerse myself into the city experience so I rolled the dice and booked it. I couldn't be happier and would 100% return. Staff very friendly! Accomodations perfect! Amenities in the room such as bottled water, tea, coffee, mini fridge wonderful! They left a window open for me upon my request during booking in the event the deodorizer smell was too strong. I walked into to find they did in fact leave the window open as requested, no issues with strong smells it was fresh and fantastic. The vibe of the hotel is trendy and modern. We loved everything and highly recommend this hotel if you want a convenient location and comfortable nights stay.

Two night stay enroute to Galway. Good location. Was able to use the swimming pool and gym facilities off site close by. You have to wear a swim cap and use a padlock for the lockers. These can be bought from reception for €7. Room had fridge. Bed was two singles pushed together, so not as comfortable as a proper double bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. One of the lifts was broken at the front door so we had to use the stairs. This was not a problem for us. But there may be another entrance for wheelchairs. Quite relaxing in room. Not too much street noise.

Don’t visit this hotel if you want a good night sleep. The hotel is situated on the busiest street in Dublin where the nightlife continues into the small hours of the morning. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable, if you could get to sleep?
