We needed to stay close to Santry sports clinic as a family member was an inpatient there during COVID restrictions and little availability was to be had in the area close to this . We booked this hotel not knowing the area or anything about it. We arrived early and I needed to checkin early to avail of good quality WiFi to commence a zoom teaching session at 10 am. The receptionist was more than helpful allowing me to check in early for a small extra charge. The WiFi was excellent,! There was no food served at hotel at the time as COVID restrictions were still in place but we were given plenty of information as to where to get food etc. Day 2 Again was met with very helpful ,lovely friendly staff enabling us to get bus ( printed instructions) into city centre and return for three euro while our car remained very safe in underground car park . The hotel was clean and warm and all staff were very attentive to anything we needed including opening a bottle of red wine for us to enjoy in room as restaurant closed. Would be very happy to return ,for a wee trip to Dublin . Thank you to dedicated staff who understand the ‘personal touch’.…
Filthy accommodation with mold in bathroom , dirt still on carpet and beds, lots of noise coming from outside and inside the hotel , and the room was like a freezer , the phone didn't work and was yellow in colour and smelled like Pi*s, if you could stay somewhere else for a extra couple of euro , that would be my advice !
I stayed here for a short night to be close to Dublin airport. It is only a mile or so from Dublin Airport terminal. There are also a couple of small convenience stores near by, all within a couple of minutes walk away. Upon arrival it was slightly confusing as where to park, however gated basement parking is available. The hotel is basic but has all the necessities needed for a short stay. Rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable, the beds being very soft and comfy. I easily got a full nights sleep. The bathroom is very clean and has plenty of the necessary amenities. Although being near a busy road, noise is to minimal and not an issue. This hotel takes covid 19 seriously with safety measures in place through the building. I opted for the breakfast service which was €9.00 for a full Irish. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t have been any more helpful and welcoming. Food was cooked well and tasted great. This hotel is really all you need for a short stay before catching a flight. Its comfortable and a pleasant place to stay while also being cheap and very good value for money. …
Warm friendly helpful staff, dog friendly, big rooms very comfortable has a bath just overall a pleasure to stay and will stay again, I had the option to opt in for breakfast but didn't take it this time but could order on the morning
Having experienced Travelodge hotels in America, we were very pleasantly surprised at this extensive property. We had to change our travel plans midway through a month-long trip to get back home as urgently as possible. This location was very close to the Dublin Airport and provided a real shelter as the waves of fear spreading around the world due to the pandemic.
I stayed here overnight before an early morning flight. It was very handy for the airport. Got a great nights sleep. The price was hard to beat. The shower was excellent. I would happily use this hotel again for early morn8ng flights.
Hotel was chosen on proximity grounds to the airport as I had a very early flight in the morning . Friendly staff and good value for money. Lacking some facilities as in house restaurant for dinner and gym. Highly recommended for in-between flights out of Dublin.
I’ve stayed here loads of times & I’ve always found it grand but just a few things I’ve noticed this time around . First get this out of the way Ballymun isn’t a holiday destination it’s basically a huge housing estate with shops & a hotel some of the reviews saying it’s not a nice area or not safe then do your homework and pay over the odds for somewhere else cos let’s be honest it’s the price that enticed you here not the area ( I’m originally from Coolock so Ballymun is a walk in the park) the staff are friendly & I couldn’t fault them for anything. There’s a lot of homeless families staying here that’s not a problem that’s Modern day Ireland but unfortunately some of them will always ruin it for others the 1st floor had a rave going on the lift stunk of weed & there’s a fella living in a tent in the car park & the car park is one of the reasons I always come here because it’s secure but this time around it felt wide open there were kids going up & down the ramp on bikes & running in and around the cars I know the car park isn’t solely used for the hotel but they went in through the hotel door with there bikes , the only other thing is my room stunk of stale smoke and there was ash all around the windows so obviously someone had been smoking there . Need to get a grip on the small minority of people ruining a perfectly good place to stay . More than likely I’ll be back but I’ll probably check out the competition first something I’ve never done previously …
Hotel was very good and good and had a good car park access in the basement. Was slightly concerned if homeless families were being accommodated ther as there were kids playing with hoovers in the lift and on the 2nd floor. However the Pub next door was loud and intimidating for a visitor
Very pleasant stay with my three children. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the hotel was nice and quiet. Beds comfortable and breakfast the following morning was tasty. The kids loved the pancakes with Nutella!! Would definitely return and recommend.
