Stayed one night at the beginning of February. Was pleasantly surprised with the room. The staff were excellent very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Great location just one block from Grafton Street, on the corner of St Stephens Green a two minute walk to the Luas. Breakfast was also great. Would definitely stay here again!

I booked this hotel at very short notice as the price was good and the location convenient. The most important thing for me in a hotel was satisfied; comfortable bed! In addition the evening meal I had was outstanding (wild mushroom dish plus quinoa salad). All staff were very friendly. Decor unpreposessing but nothing to offend and my room was...

Stayed for 2 nights, standard king room, b&b. It was really great. Lovely clean room, very spacious. All staff were really nice. Breakfast was good. There's s cold buffet with yoghurt, bread, meats, cheeses, cereals, pastries, etc and a short menu of hot food that you can order including Irish breakfast, omelettes, pancakes, waffles... I had the waffles once and...

Stayed in the O'Callaghan's on the green, great location for shopping, dining and sightseeing. Very friendly staff. Our room was on the top floor so we had a shared balcony which was nice. Over room was lovely, very spacious, sitting area too. Only bad points were: no fan in bathroom, 19 inch TV with about 4 channels which was disappointing, curtain too...

I've stayed in this hotel a few times with work now, and although the hotel itself is nice and the staff are friendly, it could do with some modernisation. Unfortunately I wasn't too well on this occasion and I needed to turn my room heating up, but it stayed on 17oC all night despite me turning it up to 24oC,...

First things first - the good points. The location of the hotel cannot be faulted - right in the centre of Dublin and right by historical St Stephens Green. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the bedrooms themselves were comfy, clean and really spacious, though a little dated. However, the bathrooms (while clean and functional) were very...

Poor in room facilities and little response to feedback and requests for maintenance to be carried out during the stay regarding room faults reported- heating didn't work, room consumables (towels, toilet roll etc) wasn't adequate. Poor lighting in room (bulbs blown and not replaced). The huge double bed was two singles pushed together so you couldn't sleep in the middle...

In the centre but in a real quiet part you are on Grafton Street in 2 minutes walk. Massive rooms and good facilities. Would definitely recommend the area. Also offer bag drop if you have a late flight home.

So after a work trip I stuck around Dublin a few days and checked this hotel out. It's a great hotel in terms of cleanliness and convenience. It ticks the boxes for the most part and everyone is really friendly, but the service is really bad. The internet is horrible, the tv has maybe 5 channels, the restaurants are ok,...

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here just before New Years. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very nice and chatty receptionist. He bumped up to an executive King room, which was a great surprise. And from reading other reviews, if they have a better room available they will indeed bump you up, without even having...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel comprises of two magnificently restored Georgian buildings, with a heritage of great historical and cultural importance to Ireland. One was home to the great Irish playwright, George Fitzmaurice, while 4 Harcourt Street was the birthplace of Lord Edward Carson, one of the founders of Northern Ireland and a central figure in Ireland’s Unionism movement. Entering through the tasteful reception area, guests will be struck by the stunning glass atrium, filling the lobby with natural light and overlooking the idyllic Stephen’s Green park. The stylish interior design throughout the hotel, with wood panelling and soft leather furnishings sitting alongside Georgian stucco ceilings and elegant fireplaces, beautifully showcases the fusion of old and new. George Fitzmaurice is honoured in the hotel through our bar and restaurant, which are named after two of his plays. The ‘Magic Glasses’ Bar is an opulent, comfortable bar where local businesspeople and visitors alike regularly meet over a coffee or drink, while the ‘Pie Dish’ Bistro, set in the bright atrium and the inner rooms of the Georgian houses, serves the finest in contemporary Irish and international cuisine. Located on the first floor, the Georgian library has a charming old-world feel, where you can sit in 19th century surrounds, featuring open fireplaces and chandeliers – an ideal way to unwind over a pre-dinner drink. A gymnasium is available for the exclusive use of residents, while the business centre is open 24 hours, with a secretarial service available for the business guest. Flexibility and choice is a core value of O’Callaghan Hotels. Guests can use the facilities and services of any Dublin O’Callaghan Hotel and have the account conveniently billed back to your room. ... more   less
