Hotel is well located walking distance or a short drive to the city centre. Reception staff didnt seem to bother much about guests, which makes you feel that you are staying in a cheap hostel or motel. The room was very spacious however there was nothing in the room apart from bed - no wardrobe, no hair dryer, no iron and toiletries. Bathroom was spacious with hot water supply but so outdated with cracks on walls, bathtub and sink. No breakfast facilities as in other Travelodge hotels. Given the price, i would expect slightly better quality of accomodation and service.

Dear aboris551011, Thank you for taking the time to post your review following your stay with us in March. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. On arrival, our receptionist on duty should have advised you that we provide hair dryers, irons & ironing boards free of charge from the reception desk. These are available on request. Breakfast is also provided for our Guests in a Restaurant just two door down from us. We take Customer Services very seriously in Travelodge Rathmines and normally we excel in this. I will be speaking to the Reception Team again and re-iterate the importance of good customer service. I do hope that you will consider returning again and I can assure you of a happy & enjoyable visit. Kind regards, Geraldine Dunphy.

If you are looking for a comfortable, reasonably proced hotel in Dublin, I recommend this one highly. I travel to Dublin frequently on business and many of the downtown hotels are quite overpriced AND in very noisy locations. It is much better to have an interesting half hour stroll to downtown while saving a lot of money and also being able to sleep soundly. The staff is VERY nice and efficient, the rooms are clean and it is in the midst of a very interesting neighborhood. There are a Lot of very good restaurants within a few blocks and an Aldi right next door. The bus stops right out side.

Excellent basic accommodations. This is a spotlessly clean hotel with outstanding staff. The location was just what I needed, an easy walk to the many downtown locations I had to visit. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was outstanding. They were friendly and helpful with any request. In the evening, I asked for a taxi for an early morning flight. I approached the counter in the morning to ask again, expecting the message was not passed along, only to be greeted by name and told my taxi had just pulled up outside the door. I have a thing about communication, and they delighted me with theirs.

It’s quite a walk from the city centre but it was clean and tidy. Easy walk for food though as it was only 2 minutes away. The desk receptionists were very nice. Shower was nice and powerful. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Yes for cheap prices we were not expecting 5* luxury. The rating is only 3/5 as we had an uncontrollable shower with temperatures of scathing red hot or artic ice cold and nothing in between, a 4 flush attempt toilet, and lacking in facilities such as a room safe for valuables. Now the staff members! We were met with a warm and welcoming smile, a desire to be helpful and accommodating and a touch of good craic that didn’t relent for the entirety of our short stay! Front of house staff to be proud of !
