Went to Dublin for a work trip a small walk into the city centre . The bed and bathroom - nice and clean , very comfy bed . The hotel staff where very helpful - they held my luggage after I checked out , so I could explore the city before my flight .
Just finished a beautiful lunch here with my partner! The food is absolutely outstanding and amazing value! Tanya and Justin served us our food and they were the nicest people we have ever been served by on a carvery! Such good craic and even recommended some places to go out tonight! Jade on the bar was also so friendly and made sure our drinks were brought down to us while we had our food! I would honestly recommend this place to all of my friends and family and cannot wait to come back! Thank you guys😁
We were looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel, on the outskirts of Dublin, with free parking, situated in close proximity to public transport links to the city centre. The West County just about ticked all our boxes. The hotel was considerably cheaper than comparable hotels in the city centre. It is in a reasonably accessible location for those traveling by car from the ferry port or from the rest of Ireland, although I would recommend using a sat nav when approaching for the first time. The West County has a large free car park at the front and there is a bus stop directly outside the main gate of the hotel. The no. 26 bus runs directly to Merrion Square in the heart of the city. Buses are frequent and the fare is 3.30 Euros each way. Depending on the traffic, it takes around 20 minutes to get into town. A couple of quick tips. The bus is cash only, with no change given, so you need the correct money. The hotel reception desk are happy to change notes. Be wary on your return. The bus doesn’t run past the hotel, but takes a left turn a couple of hundred yards before the entrance to the hotel. There is a stop just around the corner, but you will need to alert the driver. The hotel itself is a little old-fashioned, but the rooms are comfortable and of a decent size. Our deal included a full Irish breakfast. This was efficiently served, of good quality and very filling. There did not appear to be any other restaurants within walking distance of the West County, so the more than adequate in-house restaurant may prove useful. All the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. The West County fitted virtually all of our requirements and is to be recommended.…
I went here for a carvery on a Sunday and it was delicious, fantastic value, great choice, exceptional staff, who were more than accommodating, relaxing with a cosy atmosphere.. what more can I say... I will be back...
I stayed here whilst starting work, I extended the stay and staying next week as well, an hoping I will be here a lot more, The hotel is great, rooms have the items you need, the food is very good and the staff make the place, The lady on Reception has been most helpful with me and transport to and from work, the restaurant all seems very nice and welcoming, they work hard and the food from the kitchen I cannot fault. Hotel is clean, good wifi, safe location and has a charm to it with the old style decor, Great in so many ways,
