I was pleasntly surprised at the size of the room/suite that I stayed in, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very polite and helpful, and breakfast (which was included) was very good too. All in all, I enjoyed my stay there. There are some roadworks going on outside the hotel, but this didn't cause much disturbance to my...

Over the past 16 years we have stayed in what once was La Stampa several times and fell in love with the decor and ambience. HOWEVER, the last 2 visits have been awful. The hotel, now called The Dawson, is in disrepair, the toilet wouldn't flush in the first, very dull room we were allocated. The second room, although much...

When we arrived @ the Dawson we were pleased to be greeted by Pedro a very easy going and likable fellow. However, we were met by two disconcerting events: 1) we had a "do not disturb sign" on our door @ all times and staff entered to clean the room. Definitely a first and truly alarming!!; 2) my nine year...

We stayed for one night at the end of our Ireland trip, and The Dawson was exactly what we hoped for! All of the staff were so accommodating and friendly, and we loved being able to just walk out the door and into the bustling heart of Dublin. The room was nice, and definitely a good value for the rate,...

We had a wonderful time in Dublin. The Dawson Hotel staff were incredibly accommodating. Hotel is older but redone nicely. The location of the hotel was the best part. We very easily walked to everything we wanted to do from the hotel and we could come back during the day if needed. We will definitely be staying at this hotel...

Booked the spa for a treatment and chill out with a friend who is pregnant, so needed a spa that didn’t have all the thermal areas etc, Dawson seemed to fit the bill and had a nice pre-natal package. Our treatments were for a Saturday afternoon and were booked with ease. On arrival it’s quite a walk upstairs and down...

As usual I contacted the Hotel hoping to get an early check in but to no avail. When I arrived I was told that I could leave my bag and that they would call me. I went away happily enough and came back round 1.5 hours later...and thankfully my room as ready but I hand not received any phone call...

Room good and great size too. Staff were helpful but there were too few of them and I felt they were under extreme pressure. One poor chap having to cover all of breakfast. Breakfast very basic and a few things I found annoying. Tv not working and staff unable to help. Safe not bolted down. A wee bit picky but...

Lovely staff and hotel. Shame about the roadworks outside. If you don't like a night club in your hotel it's not the place, but we found it ok. Attention to detail needed with things like plugs not working and shower heads missing the spray head. I would definitely go back though. A lovely comfortable bed in Room 406.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and bed is comfy. Iron and ironing board in room which when travelling for work is always a big plus for me. Good internet. My complaint and the reason this only has 3* from me (almost gave it 2* but staff and quality of room bought it back)..... the noise!...
