Hotel's Favourite
Absolutely fantastic stay in The Grafton, I took my mum here for the weekend for her birthday and I could not fault a single thing. The staff were so attentive and couldn’t have done more for us. They even left a lovely little birthday treat in the room for my mum which made her day.
The rooms are fresh, modern and very clean, the beds were very comfy and the shower was excellent with rituals toiletries too.
So much choice at breakfast with hot and cold buffets and loads of space for seating so never felt overcrowded. We had lunch and breakfast here and the food was great!
We went to a show at the gaiety which was only a 3 minute walk away and right beside at Stephen’s green and grafton street. Perfect location and will definitely be returning!!

+1
This was both our first time in Dublin.
We chose the Grafton as it is centrally positioned so all the main streets are in walking distance, and transport routes are easily accessed too, the room rates were very reasonable.
The hotel itself is stunning, quirky, with extremely friendly staff, all very attentive.
We were allowed to check in early which was a godsend, and they even offered to hold our luggage on our exit day to save us karting then around with us.
Our bedroom was amazing, there was everything you needed and more in the room i.e. hairdryer, trouser press, kettle, cups, tea, coffee, slippers, dressing gowns, safe, etc.. and it was so clean and spacious with a huge TV.
The bathroom was huge and I've never seen so thick, huge towels!
The bed was so comfortable and we both slept more than well.
Only issue I had was the hanging birdcage style lamp in the room, I'm 5'2 and I banged my head on it four times getting in bed as its quite low and near the bed.(and no I wasn't tipsy)
We decided to dine at the hotel as they were offering a 3 course meal deal for €25 and a €5 supplement if you chose steak. We wasn't disappointed, the food came quickly and was beautifully presented and was amazing.
The decor of the hotel takes you back in time and you really feel like your in an American 1920s art deco movie.
We really had an amazing time and cannot wait to return to Dublin, there is so much there to see and do and we didn't even scratch the surface on our visit.
Thank you for an amazing stay ❤️❤️

Spent 3 days with my partner in this hotel.
The hotelroom was very clean and stylish. Rooms are all brand new and the bathroom looks perfect.
The bed however had an (not that comfortable) innerspring matras on it, what made it painful in some positions to sleep.
As it is a rather new hotel, I think it’s a bit disappointing for the beds to be that bad of quality.
Breakfast was perfect every morning, lots of choice! On Friday and Saturday nights the club in the basement is open, it’s fun to go have a look! The music is clearly noticeable in the rooms, but it was not disturbing for me at all.
Had dinner in Bartley’s one night (the restaurant inside the hotel). Waited quite long for our food ánd drinks, and the additional costs of €6 for 3 slices of goat cheese to my salad wasn’t really worth it.
I’d rate the hotel with a 5 out of 5 if it wasn’t for the bed and the restaurant in the evening.

Our stay in this hotel was not good experience. I don't recommend this place.
The receptionist didn't know how to use the payments throu my account to charge the non refundable price so when we arrived there he asked me for my credit card numbers and he charged me from his own way.
We been waiting 2 hours after check in time for the room to be ready and in the meantime nobody inform us that finally is ok, but we been asking by our selfs and then they told us that the room was ready but they forgot to tell us about it.
We paid a lot of money per night and we got room which had windows which doesn't open with view the living room/bar of the hotel. All night we listened their music from the bar and the old air condition noices too so we were not able to sleep.
They offer wifi only if you register in their website but even if you want they don't accept other email but only the email from the reception. The most terrible in this experience is that the people who work there they don't know how to treat to the costumers and they looks like they don't care at all. They gave us as a gift for all a bottle of wine.

From arrival at reception, through the beautiful stylish coffee lounge, everything at this lovely hotel was perfect. Staff friendly and helpful. Spacious well appointed room. Large comfy bed, fridge and safe in the room. Large bright bathroom with large walk-in shower. Very quiet at night, so a good nights sleep. The bar, restaurant area is beautiful and stylish.
Would recommend booking direct with their website rather than with booking websites. They really appreciate this, and add little extras to show their appreciation.
Our room rate included breakfast, and we thought it excellent value. (Perhaps my only very small niggle was that the fried eggs at breakfast were rubbery, been under the lamp too long!) That apart, we had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

I hate to leave reviews that aren't necessarily positive, especially as everyone has their own expectations and preferences. But... I booked this hotel based on the reviews so I want to leave some feedback for those who expect the price to reflect the quality of their stay. The lobby and bar are just as pictured and a great initial impression. The car park is very close-by so transferring luggage wasn't a problem. Once you get into the lift everything starts to look a little more tired. The decor in the corridors is very dark and doesn't feel as luxurious as you would expect for the price. We stayed in a family room and it wasn't quite as spacious as the photos suggest and again the decor was very dark and dingy. The photos looked bright, airy and luxurious but in fact it was very basic and bland. Perhaps the hotel reduced the number of soft furnishings due to Covid and never really re-introduced them once measures were reduced? It's definitely lacking something and I expected a bit of "wow factor" for the price we paid. The bathroom however was one of the best I've experienced and the separate toilet is a nice touch, especially when you have children who need to use the toilet at the most inconvenient times! This space is modern and clean with good quality fixtures and accessories. I would probably put the rooms on par with a DoubleTree (with better bathrooms) - clean and comfortable but nothing spectacular. The breakfast was your typical buffet style. Nothing that would set it a apart from any other. The online check in/out was very smooth and saved queuing at reception laden with bags. Overall we had a nice stay with enough space for a family of 5 but it was a special occasion so I was hoping for spectacular/amazing/fabulous as some of the other reviews suggest.

Hi Karen, Thanks for your recent review. We're really sorry we didn't meet your expectations, as you allude to yourself, our usual feedback is very positive, especially on TripAdvisor. Our recently refurbished bedrooms, especially the family rooms, are proving to be extremely popular this year so naturally we are disappointed the décor isn't to your taste and affected your rating. We're delighted you enjoyed several aspects of the hotel such as the lobby/bar areas, bathroom set up, quality of fixtures and fittings and online check in/out facilities. Thanks again for your time. We appreciate the feedback. Kind Regards, The Grafton Hotel

We stayed at The Grafton for 4 nights in August. Upon arrival, we were able to freshen up and leave our bags securely at reception before heading out for the day. The entrance and lobby to the hotel was clean, bright, and all members of staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
When we returned, we originally were sent to the wrong room which left me having to carry lots of bags/cases over to the lift whilst my husband sorted out the keys. The staff member was extremely apologetic and found the correct room number though! When we entered our room it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, lots of attention to detail (toiletries, tea/coffee facilities, chocolate, hairdryer, plugs, USB ports etc.). As well as this, rooms were freshened up daily which made for a very comfortable return after busy days out.
The reasons I would not rate this hotel as 5 stars are as follows... Our room was near a service lift and our bedroom door had a gap under it. This made our room slightly bright even at night and noisy early in the mornings when cleaning staff were setting up (voices, noise of the lift and trollies etc.) Although, when we put our 'please keep quiet' side of the hanger on the door, we noticed that the noise was far quieter. However, we could hardly hear any noise from the street or bar downstairs which was pleasantly surprising for such a busy location! The lights in the room were slightly strangely connected and we couldn't quite manage to set up just 2 bedside lamps at any point. We also had an intermittent problem with the television but we very rarely had it turned on. The main issue we had was the lack of a wardrobe! For an overnight trip this would have been fine, but it would have been really helpful to unpack for our longer stay. Overall, none of these were major issues but they were just a lot of minor issues - especially when the cost of our stay is considered. The times we thought of mentioning this to the staff seemed to coincide with the reception area being very busy so we thought better of it and these really did not spoil our visit on the whole at all.
Breakfast was delicious... my husband has had porridge every single day for his breakfast for years, and declared this the best porridge he has ever had. There was a fantastic selection of cold meats, cheeses, breads, muffins, cereals, yoghurts, spreads as well as a full hot buffet breakfast too with sausages, eggs, bacon, hash browns etc. This really set us up for our busy days. In particular we want to thank Gary, Liluana, Alberta and Crystal for their fantastic hospitality during our stay as well as all the 'behind the scenes' staff who freshened up our room each day.
Overall, although there were a few issues with our stay, The Grafton is in a fantastic location and has so many wonderful members of staff. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the breakfast was perfect!

Bad value for money. Some type of weird pre check in sent in an email to you too which didn't speed up the checking in process in person then at all. Room was pretty much a let down, not like the pictures at all on the website. No chrome cast in the smart TV as mentioned on the website. No bottled water in the room and since the phone didn't work either had to go down to reception in the middle of the night to ask for some. Where there was carnage from other guests looking for the same and also other requests that the hotel could not fulfil for them. Was nearly gone back asleep then when the water finally arrived. Double bed was fairly small and quite hard so not sure if it would be to everyone's comfort. One positive is that given it was a Saturday night in town especially on the first weekend of everything reopening the noise from Stephen's Street below was minimal during the night. Nothing unexpected anyway given the circumstances. And for once no odd air vent or plumbing/piping/machine/ random humming noises you often here in hotels. Unfortunately though the light from the smoke alarm was like a green laser illuminating the whole room making it difficult to sleep. I think there was only body wash in the shower and no shampoo. Went for this hotel as there was very little choice at the prices and location last minute for a Saturday night in Dublin but pretty sure I won't be returning to it again anyway unless prices are significantly lowered for the product & service being offered.

Great location & walking distance from all the main sights and restaurants. There is a bar and a club below so it can be a bit noisy at night so be weary of rooms on the lower floors. Complimentary drink was a nice touch but for the price you pay it would be nice to have shampoo etc available. Bed a bit harder side. Also, when we checked in the same room was showing for €100 cheaper so that was a bit annoying!

The rooms on the corner of the building are fabulous. I was in room 319 - this has two windows over looking two city centre Dublin streets. Lovely to see life travelling by from a height. The room was beautifully appointed with a leather chair in the window to view the city, comfortable bed, pillows, lovely Ritual products in the bathroom, sufficient sockets for everything and good linen.
Breakfast is a feast and you can help yourself to everything you would expect and the quality is very good, as is the choice.
The bar is delightful - staff will chat away and the barman is always cracking one lines. Funny guy and all the staff were chatting with residents and others from behind the bar, making great cocktails and creating an absolutely lovely and relaxing environment.
Parking is convenient - right at the hotel and is discounted significantly.
This is an absolutely charming experience, the Gatsby theme is subtle enough not to intrude on the modern and clean feel to this hotel. It is well designed.
Thank you to all the staff and management of the hotel for a lovely stay, especially to the bar staff and breakfast team for just looking after us and befriending us. See you again.
