The Premier Inn Dublin City Centre North Docklands Hotel is recognized for offering good value and a prime location near the tram and 3Arena, drawing concert-goers and those desiring easy city access. While guests appreciate the clean and comfortable rooms and amenities, some have faced challenges with Wi-Fi, breakfast service, and room maintenance.
The hotel's atmosphere is generally welcoming, complemented by effective soundproofing for a peaceful stay. However, service can be slow, with reports of unattended requests and disorganized staff, particularly during peak periods.

Detailed Reviews
The room is acceptable. But issue with the shower not having adequate drainage, you cannot use the shower on full volume, otherwise the shower base will flood the bathroom.
In addition, service of the hotel wasn't good. We stayed for 3 nights and couldn't get our room cleaned, even when we did get 'added to the list' no one ever came to clean the room, we ensured we stayed out from 11am to nearly 5pm and the room wasn't cleaned (even though reception said they added us to the list). It's a strange system, you expect a room cleaning by standard but instead they expect you to ask at reception for a room clean then when we did we didn't even get the room cleaned. Not a good service.

We selected this hotel on location (it’s the best for 3Arena as well as transport to and from airport and town. ) Also comparatively great price for Dublin (which is expensive) Used AirPort Express (book in advance is €2 cheaper) with very nearby bus stops, half hourly service. Also nearby were the trams (Lucas) and G1!G2 buses so very easy transport to town centre (10 minutes, smooth, good views)
Hotel food generally good , bit hectic at bust weekends, but not problematic. Good staff service. If choosing occasional room service, grab extra tea/coffee sachets, milk etc from reception. We had good weather but drying clothes could be a problem although hotel may have facilities…. Ground floor windows didn’t open, no radiators or heated towel rail to dry bits on. Good experience for this elderly couple, Would return. Breakfast options fried or continental, cooked looked good, continental sufficient but would benefit from cold meats cheese and more fresh fruit. Clean throughout. Enjoyed our week.

The check in was very slow, but it was extremely busy because lots were checking in for the Coldplay gig note we payed (€276 for the night). Unfortunately no one was manning the bar so even if you wanted to wait until the crowd cleared you couldn’t get a drink to pass the time. The restaurant didn’t open either until 5pm, which again when you’re going to a gig you’d like to grab some handy food before you head off for the evening.
Its location to the luas is excellent tho & there are a few other places to eat around there. The staff were mediocre, some were very good & like others mentioned would go out of their way but others gave the impression they were too good to be there. Also I found a bundle of fifty euro’s on the floor near the bar/reception area. I foolishly handed it in, thinking I was doing the right thing. I pointed out to a staff member that they had cameras that could easily spot who lost it & get it back to them. I enquired the next day if the money had been claimed, to be told “the management have it in hand” It didn’t really leave a good impression of the staff with me. However it is clean, the beds are comfortable & it was very quiet.

Brand new hotel so very fresh and clean. Great location only 5 minutes to the tram station, trams run regularly and are €2 for a single fare. 20 minute journey to the centre, 30 mins to the Guiness factory

The room itself is standard/expected. Comfy bed, spacious, good shower and had lots of mirrors which would be great if you were sharing, room was very quiet, heard no outside noise and only the occasional noise from other guests.
However, I was disappointed by a few things, the heating kept turning itself off, there is a gap in the shower door that caused come leakage, and the lighting was a bit dull.
The wifi is terrible, they do have an option to purchase better wifi but the free wifi should still work, it would often disconnect and it wouldn’t let me view many websites such as tourism pages or shopping sites even hotel websites which made it hard when doing some travel planning.
I ate at the restaurant one night, the staff were lovely but the service was very slow which was a suprise considering it wasn’t busy, food is nice but average for the cost, I ordered a bruschetta and it came with onion which it didn’t say on the menu so I think the ingredient list needs to be updated on the menu in case of allergies.
Most disappointing was I decided to stay another night, rooms were available when I checked online but wanted to keep my same room to avoid repacking so went down to reception to organise it, the reception staff said she didn’t have great English and may have been new but was not very helpful and just said that I would have to check out and re check in the following day but made no attempt to book me the room, I was a bit confused and my Uber eats arrived so I went and ate dinner and decided I would just book online myself and only an hour and half later it was showing the hotel was booked out, highly disappointing as it was available when I had gone down to originally book and had the staff member helped I would have had a room, I went downstairs to check this was the case and she did not offer any assistance or sympathy and just said maybe you should look at other hotels (obviously that’s what I had to do but I was trying to rebook my room to avoid having to move hotels) was dissapointed by the lack of customer care, she could have even said she could look at the other premier hotels in the city but she just said I can’t help you.

We were fortunate not to spend much time at the hotel, but it was quite disappointing for what we paid. We stayed here for four nights (September 10-14, 2024) and booked an accessible room. However, upon arrival, we were given a standard room without even being consulted. The next day, when we inquired, we were told there were no accessible rooms available, and instead of an apology, we were told we should be grateful because standard rooms are more expensive (what?). On our first night, we went to the bar for a drink at 10 p.m., having been told during check-in that it would be open until 1 a.m. When we arrived, the staff—a girl and a boy—sighed upon seeing us and rudely informed us they were closing in half an hour, urging us to hurry. We never returned to the hotel bar after that, choosing not to eat or drink there due to the staff’s attitude. Additionally, the shower in our room flooded the bathroom floor every time we used it. Despite informing the front desk, nothing was done. They said they would send a maid with extra towels, but no one ever came. We endured this issue throughout our stay. Overall, a terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is perfectly located for access to arenas; a short walk to the 3arena and a longer but easy walk at 30 minutes, to Croke Park. It's a bit further out to the other attractions of Dublin, but is extremely well connected to public transport including the very efficient, reliable and cheap tram and bus system. The rooms are standard hotel rooms, but clean and provide a hairdryer, body wash and extra pillows as well as a super comfy bed. It absolutely was overpriced at €250 a night, but prices were hiked for Coldplay. It was very quiet, we were never disturbed. We paid for breakfast on our last day; and whilst the food we had was good, it wasn't plentiful as it was hard to get things replenished despite it being an hour until breakfast ended. We also had dinner on our last evening, and this was even slower; we waited 45 minutes for a pizza and fish and chips and ended up having to pay before we'd eaten and eat within 5 minutes as we had to rush out for our bus to the airport; this might have had something to do with the fact that there was ONE member of staff covering the entire busy restaurant and busy bar (busy before Coldplay) by herself. Her name was Marta and she was running around like a fly trying to see to everyone's needs efficiently and with care and attention. Most other staff we interacted with seemed to be living on another planet and made us feel like a burden or like we were interrupting their social time for asking a few simple questions like how to best travel to the stadium, could we leave our bags etc. The girl is carrying the weight of the other staff and she's doing it with a smile on her face! Overall, an excellent hotel in an excellent location, especially if you're just using as a base for exploring

The operative words were: "We are understaffed." I heard this excuse as least twice a day for the four days I stayed at this hotel. Normally, Premiere Inns are the best. This is a new one with lots of issues. Long lines for check-in and check-out. The reception staff would leave to get guests drinks and beer at the bar. We were ushered out the breakfast room (and weren't actually running late or taking up a table) because they had to clean.
There was a notice in the shower that if you wanted a rubber bath mat, just ask at the desk. They were clueless as to what I was talking about. I finally brought down the signage and then got, "We don't have those!" This was after asking various employees for two days.
I would NEVER stay here again... it would be a long time before I would consider it. Hopefully, they would have sufficient staff. Dublin folk are desperate for work after all. This was all a very young staff.... no "older" in charge was to be seen. When I asked, I was told this is it but, you guessed it, "We are understaffed."
Never again.

Beds are comfortable, but for a new hotel it was quite shabby, nothing a good dust and vacuum regularly wouldn't sort. Breakfast is extra and costly when there's 6 of us and staying 2 nights, we only had it as there was nothing local. Not a big selection of cereals or fruit or bread, and the hot breakfast was cold by the time you reach your table.
The hotel wasn't very accommodating to one of our guests disability so make sure you book an accessible room if it's need. With 3 rooms booked for 6 people, one room had a double bed you'd need a ladder to climb on to, another had a double bed and a single sofa bed, and the final one had a double bed a single bed and a cot bed, all we wanted was 1 double and 2 twin. To far from the centre of the city for me. None of our guests would return. Two of the reception toilets didn't work, the music in the lift area was loud and annoying. We found hairs in the bath, which we couldn't us as the side was to high to enter with disabilities, one large towel and 2 hand. Toilet paper ran out, which was half gone when we checked in. Please specify on booking if you require certain needs, or consider staying somewhere else.

Hotel 1 of 6 of my trip around Europe
I managed to book this hotel before it opened for a bargain rate of €37. As with all premier inns and especially the newer builds it was spotlessly clean and inviting. While I didn't try the bar and opted instead for the green room directly across the road, it looked like a very nice space, similar on a scale I've seen in premier inns in Germany.
Check in and out was simple and efficient.
Only a few minutes walk from the point depot Luas stop this will be my first choice for concerts in the 3 Arena as opposed to the overpriced Gibson hotel in the future.

Hi, what's the best way to get to the hotel from the airport without having to sell a kidney? Thanks
Just noticed this question. You can get the Dublin Express bus service from the airport. It’s the first stop at the 3 Arena. Check with the staff at the bus stop that you’re on the right route. It’s the 784 from memory.
No , Dublin
Yes you can leave luggage there.
