If I had my druthers, I'd stay kn the other side if the river but I was booked in this hotel on a group trip. The location was a bit far from most things for me. But the bed was comfortable and the bathroom decent (though I had to wait really long for hot water in the shower one morning). It was clean and the staff were fine. They struggled to get all of our rooms ready by check in time. I wanted to walk the stairs but a couple of times they door was blocked by a huge pile of dirty laundry bags. They seem to turn over a lot but it's just not handled seamlessly. But it's overall not a bad choice if you don't mind walking a half hour to most attractions.

Stayed recently for two nights while Ed sheeran played in croke park. Fantastic location between town and croke park. We were on the ground floor in a superior room and it was spotless, modern, comfy and pretty sound proof. Unfortunately we didn’t eat in the hotel but the food looked and smelled amazing and all other guests seemed very pleased. I have been recommending the hotel to all my friends and family since we got back. Many thanks to the Belvedere for a lovely stay

We popped in after watching a programme of modern dance by ballet Ireland at the OReilly Theatre across the road. I use a wheelchair. There were ramps to get inside and to access the bar. Great list of gins. Comfortable seating. A good hour in a nice bar.
