This is a great hotel for a stop over. Wish I could have had a couple more night there. I have been to Dublin a few times and this is probably the second best place (behind the School House Hotel). Would definitely go back as it was much better priced.

Stayed here for a weekend recently. Nice hotel, but slightly lacked attention to detail. Food and service where good in the restaurant although for a Saturday evening it was almost emptying! Nice bar attached to the hotel, which always seemed fairly busy. We walked around the corner for breakfast both days to a lovely little place called Cafe Java. Great...

This is a very pleasant good value hotel in a prime location in Ballsbridge close to the Aviva Stadium, DART light rail and City Centre (10 minutes away). Being an older hotel rooms are larger. Ours was very light and spacious, very clean and up to date décor. The food was good. It has a good pub and restaurant inside...

A previously great hotel now battling to survive bankruptcy. Rooms are generally dirty, smelly and in a bad state of disrepair. Breakfast is just as bad and not worth the money. The hotel was recommended by our travel agent, but we knew things were going to be bad when the taxi driver laughed at our choice of hotel and asked...

Dear Peter DV, Thank you for taking the time to share your views with us, we appreciate your feedback. I was disappointed to read about your experience with us but I can see the hotel has made a gesture in relation to this. Altough the hotel is set to close in 2018, we hope to continue to provide our guest...

We stayed here for two nights and found the hotel very convenient location. Easy to get up to main pub and dining area walking or taxis at front. Also the dart train is only a five minute walk and easy trip to city. Found the front office staff most helpful except one lady who talked rather loud and fast, made...

I travel to Dublin for business fortnightly. My usual hotels were booked out and I stayed at the Ballsbridge Hotel. The hotel is in need of a refurb. Its decor and rooms are tired. The bathroom was clean and functional but was old and had seen better days. The woodwork in the hallways and doors was chipped and unpainted. It...

Very nice/big room as was upgraded (444) Great location, decent enough bar and restaurant. Staff friendly and the breakfast had lots of choice. Bit tired in places but overall great. Only gripe is the extra charge for a cappuccino at breakfast?? Normal coffee/espresso not charged, strange.

Really good, helpful staff. The rooms badly need upgrading but the bar and reception areas are excellent. They charge an extra €1.50 for a coffee at breakfast, should be included when paying €15 already for the breakfast. Overall the stay was good but not great

Staff were pleasant but our first room was noisy - radiator and pipes were noisy. Complained and got moved after maintenance could not fix it. Second room was grubby wall all marked, behind the bathroom door was all splashed and stained ( all it needed was a proper wipe) and the TV was on the blink. Complained again and the...
