This is a hard one to review. For the price it is a decent value, but you are getting 2 star accomodations, far from all the action, and you may not get a good night's sleep because of noises in teh building. So if you go into it with that mind set, you won't be dissapointed. Some pluses, the reception...

I have stayed in Dublin few times, either on my own or with mates. Normally, I have stayed in the centre in fairly basic but convenient accommodation. As I was with my partner and had a car, I decided to stay a bit further out, somewhere nicer and where we could park the car. This place was ideal. Firstly, pay...

We stayed one night here, based on positive reviews we read here. Therefore we were stunned when our 'family' room turned out to be a small room jammed with a double bed and 3 single beds. (there were four of us- parents and 2 teens). Because of this configuration, there was no room to walk, nowhere to put our luggage....

The room in question is over 20 square metres excluding the lobby and bathroom. On the TripAdvisor photo gallery it is the second down on the right hand side. It is bright, spacious, warm and welcoming. There is plenty of room to walk and there is a polished mahogany luggage holder as well as a mahogany wardrobe with 2 full...

We are a family of 5, small children aged 4,4 and 6 and stayed here due to proximity to Dublin Zoo and we had read on the net that they had a great family room. We were staying for one night , Thursday coming up to Easter so were pleased to get the room. We decided not to check in...

Stayed at Egans last month with friends on a birthday trip. Had arrived a little earlier than expected on the Friday morning and have to say was made feel rather unwelcome by the lady at reception. We got the feeling that we inconvenienced her somewhat, getting there before our propsed arrival time and she almost demanded that we pay €20...

We are very sorry that you got off to a bad start with us. The receptionist you met is normally exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming. However when you arrived she was training a new receptionist and was a bit flustered, trying to be a receptionist and a trainer at the same time. She has asked me to send you her...

My wife and I decided to go to Ireland for the first time to celebrate 6 years of marriage- we were on a budget and stayed 4 nights at the Egans House and were not disappointed. We would definitely stay here again! When we arrived on a Friday night, the receptionist was very busy taking calls and was a little...

Located in a quite neighborhood it's close to public transportation to the city center. The rooms are spacious. The bed was with a lot of dust. I got a room on the top floor. The heating was off during the night, so the room was frizzing. The water in the room toilet was never hot. No coffee or tea in...

We just got home today from an amazing trip to Ireland. We stayed at Egan's House for two nights in the family room. The price was great!! I don't think you could beat the value (59 euro a night for a family of 4). The staff was very friendly and helpful!! It was more like a small hotel than a...

Had a lovely weekend in Dublin. The hotel was near enough to the city to travel in by a 10 minute bus ride each day which was no problem, buses ran regularly & up to half 11. The room's were very clean & layed out well. The staff were friendly & helpful. Plenty of information in the welcome pack in...

This hotel was totally worth the money we spent. The staff was so nice and helpful, and the rooms and lobby areas were very cozy. I would definitely recommend Egans House to anyone. The only flaw is distance from the city center. It's a little far for walking so a short bus ride is the best bet.
