Great place to stay- full of charm, clean, and close to the city. We rented a car and most of Dublin is not very “parking-friendly” but this place has spots right in front reserved for guests! I travelled here with family and we stayed in a room with one double bed and three twins which was perfect.

Room Tip: Great parking at the hotel, but the rest of downtown Dublin is a nightmare for parking and driving!

My group of 4 stayed here on our first night of our trip. It was a wonderful stay- a great introduction into B&Bs in Ireland. Very comfortable beds, great water pressure/hot water and the most delicious breakfast. The best part about the stay was the employee Elizabeth- she helped us navigate bus routes and coordinated a great day trip to Howth. Highly recommend a stay!

The first person we met was Elizabeth and she made us feel so welcome. She took our suitcases and stored them while we went into Dublin for the day. We returned at 1pm and our room was ready. The room was cozy with a Television and kettle. The bathroom had a shower. As we flew from South Africa we walked to Dublin CBD and visited Dublin Castle. We took the 140 bus back. Elizabeth was our tour guide and she took so much time to provide us with the right busses and attractions we would should see. She made our stay amazing. There is a bit of a walk to bus stop 186 but it is a pleasant walk. All in all we had a wonderful stay and really appreciated everything Elizabeth did for us. We would love to return some day.

I reserved a room for one night and gave credit card details as usual. We were travelling for a family funeral. Upon arrival at Dublin airport, my phone rang and I was informed that we didn’t have a room as the hotel was double booked! I Was appalled but fortunate that family would be able to help us to find a room. Had we been foreigners who had no one to assist it may have been a different story. This was 6.30 pm and just before Easter! We were disgusted by the treatment- so casually cancelled with no offer of help in finding another room. Not a great advertisement for friendly and welcoming Ireland

The lady that greeted us was a delight. We were on the top floor in the family room. She couldn't do enough to help us. We asked for a different travel cot, as the one originally supplied was no good. The room however was freezing, not good for the baby. We were not aware that the rooms heating was on a timer, but there were also no access panels to the timer. We were freezing all night. Draught coming under the door, and the windows. We ordered food to be delivered and we were made very welcome. It was like staying at your aunty's house. Would definitely stay again, just maybe in a different room

If this is or was the Montrosa, we loved it and the Egan's were great hosts, nice rooms and good food and we had tea in the afternoon. It was our honeymoon back in 1974. When we left they gave us a card so we could come back again and stay.

This guest house is located about 40mins walk from the city centre of Dublin in a nice residential area. There is a bus that takes you directly to the centre, although the walk itself is not too arduous. I stayed one night in the small single room, which was tiny, although clean and very quiet. The bathroom is equally minuscule, but for one night it was all good. Check-in took a while as there was only one person at reception and there were a few people waiting. Staff was professional, although nothing too friendly or welcoming. Breakfast was not included in my rate, so cannot judge. Overall, an affordable option for Dublin's standards, although still quite expensive considering it wasn't offering anything but a bed and a shower room.

We had a lovely room with two beds. It was very clean and cosy. The staff was incredibly friendly and always there to help. We made a lot of changes of our reservation and Elizabeth who was one one writing to us was really nice and accommodating.

The girl was lovely on reception but when we got to our room it absolutely stank of sewage.. Like unbearable.. Thankfully she changed us to the superior family room which was much better a lot of stairs but that didn't bother us, then afterwards I noticed the smell was in the reception basically the left hand side of the building so thank god we went elsewhere for breakfast.. The room and beds were clean and very comfortable only complaint I have about the room is the tea/coffee facilities are right in front of the radiator which meant the milk was spoiled so we had black coffee not the end of the world but didn't want to rush out of our jammies to go down to reception for more.

I came to Dublin to visit my daughter and stayed 6 nights. I find the place quite nice and has good value for the price. Excellent breakfast and very kind and helpfull staff. I do find, that the walls are somewhat thin and had trouble getting a good nights sleep. Especially the last 3 nights, when someone in the room just above me was pacing the squeking floor until 3 in the morning and just being a dirsturbing newsense. However, when I mentioned this to the staff, they emediately handed me a key to a vacant room, so I could get some sleep. Thank you SO much for the kind gesture! I will probably find a place closer to town on my next visit, but again: this is just my issue and absolutely nothing to do with my stay at your Hotel. Thank You again and best wishes.
