Had a very nice time here. Staff was amazing and facilities were good. My only complain would be that the parking is €7 a day, and I didn’t know until we got there but otherwise everything was great. Rooms were a little small but not uncomfortable.

Response from Patrick Finn, Owner at Egans House

Dear Rrosado01, Thank You for staying with us and also for taking the time to post your honest feedback. It is great to read good reviews, it makes it all the more worthwhile doing what we are doing. We have 3 choices for you regarding car parking... 1. There is a free car parking area ( residential cul - de sac area ) situated approximately 60 metres from the main entrance/exit door of Egans House. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis and you may park there free of charge at all times. 2. All other surrounding roads and streets operate a "Pay & Display" service from 7 am - 12 midnight. 3. Alternatively, you may reserve a private car parking space on site. Egans House offers onsite car parking to guests at a rate of 7.00 Euro per overnight stay. Thanks so much for letting us and others know. I hope you will come and stay with us again. Kind Regards, Egans House Team.

Member of staff checked in, took 20 mins. Then tried to add another 2 rooms for tomorrow to book another member of staff also but couldn't because the computer was asleep!!!! Charged €7 for parking about 6 ft from the road but couldn't take a card. Moving both to another hotel tomorrow.

We stayed for one night en route to the ferry. We had a family room and it was clean and well equipped. The gentleman on reception was very welcoming and efficient. All in all this place is great value for money.

A friend and I had a very pleasant four night stay at Egans. We had travelled from the UK to visit family in Dublin so just wanted somewhere to act as a base. Our room was clean and tidy, the bathroom facilities more than adequate and the staff were very friendly and helpful (thank you Lisa). There were cafes in the area and a nice hotel around the corner (The Maple) that served good food so from our point of view it couldn't have been better. We are recommending Egans to any friends and family who might want to visit the area and will certainly rebook when we make a return visit.

Egans House was wonderful. It was family friendly, price was budget friendly for a family of five, everyone had their own bed in one room with private bathroom. It had a fan for white noise which was nice for us, but it also kept the room comfortable temperature wise on low. The shower was hot, warm depending on who was in, but the pressure varied from person to person from good to not good. Even with that small imperfection, the staff were excellent, clean, so helpful and welcoming. I would definetly go back and get the same room as the beds were sooo very comfortable, the shower water pressure issue was not a show stopper. Due to rain we took taxi in/out of City Center. I would recommend taxi to/from airport too as our instructions from airport information desk sent us on bus and a wild goose chase. Taxi for family of five never was more than 13 euro, and that is exactly what we paid for a one trip on public bus for five of us. THANKS EGANS!
