Stayed here as it was close where we needed to be, great location it was the first bus stop from the Airport at Georges Quay and its a 2 minute walk from there. We stayed in room 360 which was a corner room, big windows and a double bed, i think there was also a pull out bed but it wasnt needed. It had a samsung TV, samsung aircon, a really tiny shower room with soap and hair/body wash available. Kettle and coffee machine in the room, hairdryer and an iron/board. I didnt sleep the best as its close to a train bridge. We didnt have the breakfast as i found it quite expensive and walked 10 minutes up the road to a wetherspoons ‘The Silver Penny’ which was cheaper and also could order food and drinks to our table on their app without having to get up and que at the bar. This also helped us after checkout, the hotel checkout was 11am and after a wonder around trinity collage which is close by we also had lunch 2pm at this wetherspoons before travelling back to the airport.
I would stay at this hotel again, booked it on Booking . Com

The hotel is very central in Dublin. Most sights are within walking distance. Whether Trinity Collage, Temple Bar, Grafton Street you can reach everything in just a few minutes on foot. Nearby there are good public transport connections and also the airport bus runs a bit down the road.

The hotel is spread over several floors and you can really get lost there. The rooms are not huge but sufficiently large. They are bright and friendly furnished with everything you need. Includes safe, iron and ironing board.

On the ground floor there is a restaurant where breakfast is also served in the morning. The breakfast buffet offers everything your heart desires and everyone should find something here. The restaurant we did not otherwise use.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. We thought we had booked a twin double room, but then it wasn't. The nice staff at the reception immediately booked us into a Twin Double on request.

On the ground floor there is a tap where you can bottle water. And snack machines. Around the corner from the hotel entrance there is a well stocked Tesco Express.

We stayed 2 nights at Travelodge Dublin City Centre and I would book it again anytime.

My husband & I stayed here last weekend for two nights with my husband's brother and his wife. From the moment we walked in the doors we were treated like royalty, the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Check in was seamless and our room was beautiful. It was a lovely large bright room with plenty of windows. The bathroom was compact and ideal which meant there was more space in the bedroom itself. The bed was large and luxurious and the staff had left a lovely touch of a plate of brownies. My brother in law's wife was celebrating a significant birthday and the staff sent a bottle of prosecco to the room.
We had breakfast included in our stay in the bright restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty of options. We loved that the tables in the restaurant are well placed so that you are not sitting on top of other guests. We really enjoyed the food. We had dinner included on one night and boy did we enjoy it. We had a 3 course meal with wine that was stretched out over 3 hours, every course was as good as the next and the service was exceptional.
All 4 of us have been raving about our stay since we came back and now we want to book it again. I honestly can't recommend this hotel and especially the staff enough.

This hotel has a central location that makes it easy to walk to many tourist attractions, pubs, and restaurants, so it scores top points for that. The lobby was large, busy, and impressive. Hotel desk staff were friendly and helpful, and one even provided us with a room upgrade because we were staying there so many nights.

However, the room itself, even with the slight upgrade of a small desk alcove, was tiny and spartan. As we were travelling for three weeks, we had medium-sized suitcases, which we struggled to fit in anywhere in our 161 square foot (14.96 m) room. The small hanging spot with a few hangers was somewhat helpful. The bathroom was small, with only a shower that had such low water pressure that I couldn't wash my hair the whole time I was there. The queen-sized bed was fairly comfortable but creaky, with not-great pillows. When someone in the hallway slammed a door, our room door rattled. The television mounted on the wall at the end of the bed was an accident waiting to happen as there was so little room to navigate around the end of the bed to the bathroom. We put the sign out for room cleaning every day, but no one ever cleaned our room.

The complimentary breakfast was varied and filling; however, the coffee was provided from two machines that offered espresso, cappuccino, americano, etc. One day all drinks from one machine were cold, so everyone was lined up at the other one. Another day one machine was empty, so again we were lined up. A couple of mornings there was no milk or cream for the coffee, just almond milk.

When we booked this hotel about three months ahead of time, it was one of the only ones still available in the city centre for our five nights. Little did we know that there was an American football game scheduled for the weekend we planned to be there and everything was booked up as a result. Maybe some of the issues we experienced were due to the hotel being crowded and stressed.

Dear JHM, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed review. We're glad to hear you appreciated the hotel's central location and the friendliness of the staff, especially with the room upgrade. However, we're sorry that the size of the room and some other aspects of your stay, like the water pressure and room cleaning, didn't meet your expectations. We'll make sure to pass your feedback along so improvements can be made, particularly regarding the breakfast and maintenance issues you encountered. We appreciate your understanding and hope you had a memorable time in Dublin despite these inconveniences. Best regards, Ramute Kairiene Operations Manager Travelodge Plus Dublin

The central location of the hotel was very nice, but that's about where the positive feedback ends. The check-in time on arrival was not adhered to, we had to wait a long time in an overcrowded crowd to be able to check in. We were put in a handicapped accessible room. The room itself was very clean, but a bit small for the price, our suitcases barely had any space. In the bathroom, the sink was at a height of 70cm, but unfortunately the height was not adjustable. My friend (1.90m) had some problems with this.
The breakfast was a complete disaster. At 7:00 a.m. only half of the coffee machine worked (only black coffee and espresso), the toaster was only available to a very limited extent all week (the top and bottom heat only worked on one day), the second toaster was broken all week. It took about 40 minutes for the entire range of food to be available. On peak days (when whole buses left, which was not uncommon) the restaurant was very crowded and there was no place to sit. The staff seemed under-challenged, bored and were more concerned with talking to each other than refilling the buffet or taking care of the coffee machines.
The cleaning staff only cleaned the room if you had hung the cleaning note visibly on the outside door by the day before (1 a.m.). The next day you come back to the hotel in the afternoon and the room has not been cleaned (and this happened several times in a row). When you asked at reception about the problem with the room cleaning, you were called "stupid" and "irresponsible" for not hanging the note on the door (which was not the case). There was no response from the staff.
In the terrace area, which belongs to the hotel bar, there was no service for drinks or food. You had to go to the bar and order yourself, pay immediately and pick up the order there. For us, an absolute no-go for a 3-star hotel, especially since here too there were more staff standing around at the bar and preferred to chat.
Only when we checked out did the staff ask for a manager, who listened to our complaints in a friendly manner and apologized. This was the first time in a hotel where someone took care of us.
The hotel paid for the taxi to the airport for the inconvenience.

All in all, we were very dissatisfied with the price-performance ratio and would look for another hotel in the center on our next visit to Dublin (of which there are more than enough in the city).

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and the service was downright bad!!
When we checked in we were given the key and no further explanation about what was going on. When we arrived in the room, the USB sockets did not work (they were broken) and we did not have a universal plug, despite the fact that it was a problem in the room, they did not want to lend us the plugs but did sell them!! (€6 each) When we asked for another room (one where the sockets would work) that was not possible because the hotel was full. The manager, a certain Michael, was downright rude and disrespectful. After having been downstairs once, and after someone came by who confirmed the problem, we had to call 3 more times before he still reluctantly sent the plugs upstairs. The lady who brought them was super friendly and understood our frustration and anger and said she would talk to Michael. To our surprise, he called 15 minutes later to offer some sort of apology.
On day 2, when we arrived at the hotel in the evening, our room had not been cleaned, towels had not been changed and the bed had not been made. When I complained about this, the lady at reception said that we should have put the card (to have the room cleaned) on the door before 1 am, because they walk around at night and if the card is not there the room will not be cleaned the next day!! I saw that later on the card, but I still believe that they should indicate this at check-in as this deviates from normal practice and not everyone can read English!
When we checked out, that friendly lady was there again and she felt so sorry for us (all that irritation) that she offered us a free breakfast!
The hotel itself is new, clean and the location is perfect (8 min) walk from the center.
The room and bathroom are very small but the beds were comfortable.
I would not go here again and do not recommend it to anyone because for €200 per night (excl. breakfast) you are better off going to a hotel that provides good service and thinks along with its customers. That will save you a lot of stress and irritation!!

Good hotel over all, a basic clean hotel , centrally located which is very well kept. The lifts are spacious and quick , reception and bar area are comfortable.
The rooms are small and typical travel lodge. The shower hose is very short and the shower flow is weak . You have to request your rooms to be made up the night before if you are stay for a few nights. During my visit the Barr closed just before 11.30. Pre booked breakfast is €12.50. As a coeliac it was disappointing with very few options no cereal .I request gluten free bread and it was served as I was leaving about (45 minutes later ) . There was people queuing for food , only 1 coffee machine was working, The scrambled eggs looked like plastic and all the ‘hot food’ was cold.
The fire alarm went off on floor 3 at about 7.30am and it rang loudly for ages . Some people left by the stairs it was eventually stoped about 30 minutes later.
After checking in to my room and going to bed reception telephoned to say my room phone wasn’t working and they would send maintenance to repair. As I was just gone to bed I had to ring reception from my mobile to cancel this,
Over all an ok hotel for Dublin but if the breakfast restaurant was better staffed it would make a big difference, with ensuring the food was hot , coffee machine working and attending dietary requests within a satisfactory time frame

Travelodge Dublin City Centre is a decent hotel in the area, and most of the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We visited with a large group, quickly checked in, and upon arrival to our room, we noticed that two twin beds were together. We did not mind, but the room size could be considered cozy, and the bathroom was modern. The water pressure is ideal, and I enjoyed taking a shower after a long day. Our room rate included breakfast, and we loved the Irish breakfast each morning. The bar area is also festive and modern, allowing guests to enjoy different drinks before heading out with their day. I would recommend paying 10 Euros for late checkout until 02:30 pm (some front desk staff might say 01:00 pm due to availability), but it allowed me to get ready and pack without any rush in the morning. Overall, it is a decent hotel and needs to be credited for what it offers to guests.

Travelodge is a new hotel in a great location between Tara Street and Pearse DART stations and within a five minutes walk to Tritity LUAS stop. You can walk to most sights or take the LUAS.

It is better than many other Travelodges: The room and the bathroom are a good size (they only have a soap dispenser next to the shower and next to the sink, no other toiletries), the room is clean, the rooms facing the inner yard are quiet (Townsend Street is not that busy so probably also the rooms facing the street are qiuet), there is a kettle and an espresso machine in the room. The room and the bathroom have been designed with a wheelchair access in mind. I do not need it, but the appreciated the thought that had gone into the planning. A mini fridge would be nice thing to add to the rooms as they are big enough to fit them.

There is a tap with still or sparkling drinking water close to the reception. The hotel has a bar where the staff are exceptionally friendly and polite. I had questions and visited the reception several times. Everybody I spoke with was friendly and professional, the ones I remember are Melissa, Sorin, and Abdel. I added a late check-in at 14:00 for 10 euros to my stay, which was very reasonable.

The only little complaint I have is about the housekeeping. After my first full day in Dublin I came back to the hotel and noticed that the room has not been serviced, i.e. nothing had been done. I went to the reception to query that. They explained to me that I should have put a sign outside of my room to indicate that the room should be serviced. On my request they sent some tea and coffee sachets to my room to help me get my eyes open in the morning!

The morning after I knew the process, put the sign outside of my room and the room was serviced.

Overall I was very satisfied and will happily return to Travelodge on my next visit to Dublin.

My husband and I spent some time in Dublin. I was looking for a reasonable hotel close to attractions. Travelodge met my expectations. Check in and check out were seamless. They have a small bar so at the end of a long day we could get a nightcap if we wanted it. They also had outside seating if you wanted to sit outside with your drink. The room was clean and cozy. Cleaning was available everyday, but you needed to hang something outside your door the night before so they knew which rooms to clean. This hotel is close to Trinity college and Hop on/Hop off bus. Both of these are within walking distance. In the mornings we walked down the street to a café for coffee and light breakfast. We rode a bus from airport to Dublin. The bus dropped us off at a quay. We were able to walk with our luggage from the bus to the hotel without difficulty. Noise level at this hotel was low. This is a quieter area compared to Temple Bar area.
