Detailed Reviews
We went last night to this establishment. We’ve frequented before. It was our first night out since early December 2020.
It was outdoor dining in plenty space .so that was good . We were promptly sat at a table. No hanging around in large crowds.
The service was good at first . But fell apart during the main course. The starters are good , probably better than the main course . We got a side of garlic bread which really is an Irish breakfast item of fried bread .!!!!
Some had fish and chips .
Some had steak on the stone . The steak which was meant to be fillet wasn’t and had excess amount of fat running through it. But it was the chips that took my breath away or lack there of. We were left a chip short at out meal . And to the point where the fish batter has started to lose its crispy rigidity. And this lack of chips was seen three or four times throughout the night. If your paying €21 for a relatively small portion of fish and chips ( and poor quality fish and chips at that ) you won’t want to see your fries turn up in a white desert bowl.
Overall the service was poor as I had to stare at the waiters to get any service to the table.
I hope the overpriced hype will stay good for the “ Twelfth Lock”when the lockdown ends but I can’t see it happening. ……….
