Great location right near Ha’Penny bridge. Walkable to major sights downtown including Temple Bar, Molly Malone statue, Trinity College, Grafton Street and even St. Stephen’s Green. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. The aparthotel as they call it had the cleanliness and comfort of a hotel with a mini apartment feel. Having a small kitchen and washer was helpful even though we didn’t cook this time. The staff were very friendly and the checkin/checkout process was smooth. I liked having a cafe on the ground floor. Convenient to grab a cup of coffee to take back to the room in the morning. Rates were reasonable for the area. Would highly recommend for a short or longer stay!

The sheets and bedding come to mind - we really appreciated the clean comfort and spent a lot of time just relaxing in the room. This feels a little like a hotel for influencers, very modern with lots of QR codes for info. The lobby feels like a co=working / digital nomad hotspot - with a great cafe with wonderful pastries and coffee. I loved the shower which was strong and hot and easy to use. Lots of nice touches as our suite had a full kitchen with river view. Maybe add a french press for coffee making in the otherwise super well equipped kitchen, complete with induction cooktop, oven and microwave. Plus fridge and dishwasher. Great views, high ceilings. exposed brick, fast wifi and the perfect location. 5 STARS

Hotel was above average for the following reasons: location was perfect; walking distance to everything you want to see in Dublin yet quiet; room was spacious with climate control/air conditioning, fridge, sitting area and comfy bed big enough for my husband and me. I liked that we could open the windows for fresh air in our room.

The room was a nice size. There’s a kitchen, but we did use it other than to make Tea. The bathroom was a nice size and the shower was excellent. Security is very good. No worries of uninvited guests. Family was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast at the cafe and the food was very good for the price. The location is perfect. Just steps away from the Penny bridge.

We stayed at Zanzibar Locke for 2 nights in mid-May. What a wonderful place! Everything from checking in to checking out was stellar. All of the House Hosts were delightful people, as were the staff at both the coffee shop and the bar/restaurant (unaffiliated, but still worth mentioning as they were great!). Our suite, as well as the entire property, was cozy, welcoming, and perhaps most importantly: clean. The only negative (if you could even call it that) of our stay was that the bed was much smaller than expected. We booked a king, and I'd guess the bed in our room was about a double. Not a big deal for 2 nights though! If we return to Dublin in the future, we will definitely stay here again!

Really good location, just opposite Temple Bar. We came to see Bruce Springsteen at the RDS. The hotel is kind of boutique rather than Holiday Inn or Olde Worlde. Easy to find, check in etc. You get vouchers for food, so you’re not committed to breakfast. This is just as well, because it arrives cold. Fine if it’s muesli, not great when it’s sausage, egg, mushrooms etc. We sent a few back and to be fair, they gave us free coffee. But, it’s not rocket surgery. Otherwise it’s a cool place to be.

We only stayed here one night, but we enjoyed it. It’s clean and modern. We stayed in room 408. Part of the ceiling angles down to eye level at the bed. I didn’t see it in the dark and banged my head. Other than that, it is the best hotel in Dublin for the money. My wife is somewhat picky, but she was very happy with this place. 5 Stars from her. 😀

From the moment I arrived at the hotel, it was clear that this was an excellent offering. Welcoming staff, nicely planned rooms (mine was the most basic) and the option of a gym and onsite restaurant meant this couldn't be faulted. I'll be back the next time I am in Dublin and will actively seek out other Locke properties when I am in other cities. Thanks for a great stay!

Zanzibar Locke was overall a really great place to stay. The room was very clean (the most important thing!), the layout & room amenities were good & thoughtfully planned, and the atmosphere was excellent. The hotel restaurant was also very good! I do wish it was easier to order takeout from the restaurant (we couldn’t call or place online, had to go down and order in person and wait a while), but that is the only thing I’d improve and it’s a very small thing in an overall excellent stay.

My fiancé and I stayed at this location for the first leg of our trip to Ireland. This is definitely a stay you do not want to miss out on! The location is really what makes this stay so incredible. We were able to take a city bus from the airport that dropped us off just a block down from the hotel. Throughout our trip we were able to walk to all major attractions and had great access to the temple bar district (right across the River!) and all local bars/restaurants. The hotel itself is very chic. The lobby/common areas are very modern/well decorated and there is a great outdoor seating area just adjacent to the lobby. The room itself was great, very clean and with all needed amenities. Our only complaint was the bed was rather small (about a full sized mattress.) There is some noise that can occasionally be heard at night from the bar district, but we didn’t find this disruptive (barely noticed it). Also it is to be expected that there would be some noise due to proximity to the lively nightlife. This is a must stay and we will be recommending to anyone staying in Dublin!
