Central Dublin location. Tick. Riverside views. Tick. The option to head out to the bars, restaurants and clubs of Temple Bar, or cook dinner in your room. Tick. Made up of four Georgian townhouses, this ex-nightclub has been given a new lease of life, Locke style. Settle into your spacious apartment. Soak up the carefully curated art, practice your downward dog in the courtyard and order pre-dinner cocktails in the mezzanine bar. Or step outside, cross the Ha’penny bridge and dance the night away. All of Dublin is on your doorstep. Feel free.

Zanzibar Locke is a wonderful hotel in a great location in Dublin. Check in was a breeze, and all interactions with hotel staff were perfect. Room itself was better than expected. Kitchenette was very well equipped, bathroom was spacious and clean, beds and lounge area were very comfy. Access to laundry room at no extra charge was a fabulous bonus. Lastly, the hotel is in a great location for walking to restaurants and museums, but also very close to both bus lines and LUAS trams for further afield attractions. Only downside is that somewhere nearby had live music from 10:30 pm - 2:30 pm on Thursday - Saturday, and we could definitely hear thumping bass (guitar or drum?) for that entire four hour timeframe from our second story room. Foam earplugs helped, but couldn't helped but wonder if a room on a higher story or facing a different direction (we faced the interior courtyard) might have helped with the noise... Will definitely consider other Locke properties for upcoming trips!

If you’re visiting Dublin don’t think twice about booking Zanzibar Locke, just do it! The location is perfect and central to everything, there’s great restaurants/bars and shops nearby and if you want to order in there’s fab options nearby. The hotel itself is stunning, I couldn’t fault it. The decor is everything 😍 and the smell in the lobby is incredible, I need it for my own house! Impeccably clean and felt very safe staying there, there’s lots of hand sanitiser in all areas of the hotel. The only slight downside was that our room wasn’t ready at check in but we didn’t have to wait long and understood as the place was busy. The reception, coffee bar and outdoor were all great and they have great facilities for working too, think it would be a great base for a business trip. Very friendly and helpful staff and it’s great being able to fire any questions through to them via WhatsApp. The room was excellent, they have thought of every detail, there was even a yoga mat! Good air con, comfy bed, great shower, plenty of space and beautiful toiletries. We loved our stay here and enjoyed every minute, I can’t wait to return and have already been recommending Zanzibar Locke to friends and family. We have stayed in a range of hotels in Dublin and nothing compares to this one.

The staff was exceptional. They went out their way to accommodate each of us, the location is perfect to visit so many of the attractions and good restaurants. Easy access to the tram, the Hop On Hop Off bus and taxi cabs. There are many things to do and see in wonderful Dublin and Zanzibar Locke is perfectly situated for getting to each. Enjoy your trip!!!!!!!!!

Such an amazing place to stay in Dublin. Stayed for two nights in May- we will definitely be back! Rooms are so well done, clean modern decor with lots of natural daylight and plenty of space. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, really central but rooms are completely soundproofed with blackout curtains and super comfy beds so you get a great undisturbed nights sleep. The apartments have everything you need & more- we could have stayed for weeks. Really can’t rate this place highly enough, I don’t think I’d stay anywhere else in Dublin!
