I enjoyed my stay here for two days while returning home from some essential travel. Great energy, clean, and safe atmosphere. Unfortunately, there were a couple of people which were all resolved after I brought them to the staff. Awkwardly, there was no toilet paper in the dispenser (yikes, yeah... That moment). The electricity was also only partially turned on in the room. They solved these for me. It just took a couple of trips to the desk. I noticed the window in the was also broken... But since it was at the end of my stay.... I didn't report it. Anyway, for a cheap stay in Dublin...it was still great! The location is nice and the Smithfield square is pleasant.

Hi there, and thanks for the kind review! We apologise if there were any issues with your room on arrival. We are running on a skeleton crew at the moment, and a lot of our focus is on ensuring that the property is Covid-compliant for the health and safety of all of our guests and staff. Regardless, we've taken what you've said on board, and thank you for the time you took to leave the review. Hopefully we'll see you again during better times, and you can get the full Generator experience. Take care!

My best kept secret place to stay in Dublin. I was a regular here before lockdown. I recommend the women only 10 bed dorm with a jacuzzi bath for solo female travellers. Greta value, excellent location. I have also stayed in a private double room, huge comfy bed, you can take drinks to the room. TV, etc etc. Best cheap place to stay in Dublin. Prices vary and they have gone through the roof during lockdown which is such a shame.

very clean, cosy, quiet, 4th floor - 418 room - 4 beds - fish painting on the wall. Very quiet and silent night - view on the chimney. Good service and personnel - bought point of Heineken - was lovely and fresh - so happy to come back. Greg Igras
