Staying just one night with a business colleague, found Waterloo Lodge to be comfortable and good value - and ten minutes walk from the AirCoach which saved us a hefty taxi fare! Initially put off by steep and uneven steps up to the front door and then by their lift being out of order but friendly receptionist quickly settled us...

+: Very clean, location between UCD and city centre in a very nice neighbourhood of Dublin, friendly staff, bus stop outside of the hotel -: Rooms are somehow small but the bed is good, building looks old inside (well for some other people this could be a plus!), rooms are a little noisy In my opinion if you see it...

We made the error of thinking we were booked into the Waterloo House. Be aware these are two different businesses located within meters of each other. The hotel and room are very dated and worn. The rooms were in need of updates at least 10 years ago. The room was clean but the drab, worn appearance distracted from the cleanliness....

I'm not one to write reviews, particularly poor ones but as we had booked on the basis of the 5 star reviews on tripadvisor I feel it only appropriate to add a note of caution. Essentially there is nothing the matter with the hotel that a decent decorator and plumber couldn't put right. The whole place is faded and tired...

I recently had to travel to Dublin for business. My work concluded on a Friday and I had decided to stay in Dublin for the weekend. I had booked the Waterloo Lodge based on a reference from a local source. The Hotel is easy to find, in a good location and the staff is really good with helping out. They...

We stayed for three nights. It was quite comfortable and functional, as we were really only in our room to sleep. We like to walk, and it only took about 15–20 minutes to reach any of our local Dublin destinations (including travel pick-ups). Staff is very courteous. Would stay again.

I am so glad that we chose to stay in Balls Bridge. The neighborhood is so pleasant and the restaurants so nice that we chose to return from the city for dinners. It is an easy walk into town Center. Our room was located on the lower level, but still daylight. It was huge! We had an extra large king...

We spent 4 nights there. The staff are helpful but there are no resident staff overnight. The Irish breakfasts are very good, being well cooked and hot. I am not sure about it catering for people with physical difficulties as the lift, in essence a service lift, was out of order and there are a number of steps up to...

As to me it is a good place to a short stay without lunch and dinner. Although the hotel is not for disabled, so as stairs are quite steep and there is no lift. It was quite cold to me in June, when I visited, so as I was not able to shut down the window tightly, because of its...
