Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is in the heart of Dublin, it was very handy for me and my family to get to our meeting points of our tours. Must warn you that it's a very busy area with pubs around so there will be noise, also there was no AC in the room. However, that didn't stop us to enjoy our family vacations. The staff were very kind to us, Jennifer and David suggested us excellent places for dinner. Overall, my family had a great time and that's what matters to me.

Accommodations were overall good. I expected a little more from a 4 star hotel. There was left over jam on one of the night tables, and the USB ports for charging were broken. The photos showed a good sized double room with space and we couldn't lay out out large suitcase without it being in the way. Room was overall very clean and comfortable. The shower with go from a good temp and turn scalding for a couple seconds and back to good temperatures. Over all I would give a 5 star review if this was advertised correctly and labeled a 3 star hotel.

What a great place, right in the heart of the action, close to everything due to its centrality. Hotel staff phenomenal- Jennifer at reception (and Fergal the manager) were very helpful but every staff member met us with a smile and good humour. Rooms were spacious old world but well equipped and the noise from the very lively street was not intrusive at all. Lots of good restaurants and bars nearby.

Location Location Location was perfect! Walking distance to everything. Immaculate rooms. However, they failed to tell us we had an unair-conditioned room! They stated they we booked it like this, which was not true. They really didn't care to accommodate either. I was disappointed that they didn't offer a gesture of a small discount or one day of free breakfast. Poor business etiquette on their part!!! I would recommend but make sure you get a air-conditioned room!!!

We had a great time, especially that this hotel we stayed is at the heart of everything in Dublin. Although this hotel is a bit pricey, overall, we still highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested to stay in Dublin.

The hotel is in the heart of Temple Bar, so great if that is your scene. I didn’t pay much attention when I reserved, so I had a small room with no air conditioning and apparently under renovation (carpet loose, shower mixer not reliable, cheap decor). Worst room I had in Ireland. Staff was quite helpful. One night stay. Traveling with friends who said their room was great.

This was a very disappointing hotel experience which came at the end of fabulous driving holiday around Ireland. The hotel is located right in the heart of the Temple Bar tourist area which makes it a very noisy and crowded place to stay. We did of course expect this to be a lively area when we booked the hotel, but we had hoped that the hotel would be a bit more of a sanctuary once we stepped inside. Unfortunately, the hotel has decided to join the party and their bar alongside the lobby was constantly pumping out bad loud music and screaming DJ's. The lobby itself is a pretty uninviting area with no incentive to linger for a nightcap or sit and watch the passing parade outside - this is a wasted opportunity by the hotel. Our room was very small and poky with only a view of the rooms opposite. The bathroom was simply terrible, with the usual horrible shower in a bath which was small and quite dangerous from an access point of view, and it leaked badly. For the price we paid here this hotel should have been much better than it was, and I would suggest that you could find much better accommodation options in Dublin.

Hi Sean, Thank you for feedback and comments. I completely understand that you were unable to enjoy your last few holidays in Ireland with the external noise outside the hotel, wherein we would have no control over. We always appreciate constructive feedback however, I am saddened to hear that the concerns you have raised here were not brought to the attention of the Duty manager or any of the staff at the hotel. Nevertheless, Thank you for staying with us. Regards
