So, we stayed here in early May but the weather is Dublin was relatively hot on the days we were at the hotel. There is no AC, so we had to keep the window open all day and night- I never even thought to ask about that when picking a hotel. The price for our room, though, was good and it accommodated 4 adults nicely. The check-in dude was really quite crabby, but later in the day the staff seemed nicer. We had one meal at the restaurant and honestly had pretty poor service- I do think the waiter was new, but I can't recommend the restaurant based on that experience. We were there for a two night stay and it fit our needs and was a good value, however I would likely try someplace else on my next trip to Dublin.
Great location just a short walk to the main town/city centre. Would say around 15-20 minutes. Spacious rooms and the staff are lovely too. Didn't use the amenities so cannot comment on these nor cannot comment on the breakfast as we didn't eat here.
We where 3 guys that was spending the weekend at Landsdowne Hotel for the Ireland - Italy game. We arrived on the Saturday the day before the game and we felt so extremely well received by the staff down at Den Bar (which is the pub in the basement of Landsdowne Hotel) so it became our base for the weekend. The staff Ray (bar manager) and Ali (bartender) was wonderful and really looked after us for the weekend. Ray even lent his own jacket to my friend because he misplaced his the night before the game. What a legend! The place was amazing on the match day and the stadium was a short 5 minute walk away so it was a natural place for people to meet up before as well as after the game. Thanks Ray and Ali for making this an absolutely amazing weekend.
We had a family birthday party in the Lansdowne Hotel on Sunday 10th October. Sean and the team in the restaurant were incredible! The food, the service, the attention was second to none. They made the family event even more special. Thank you for everything!
I booked because of ease of access to the city centre and value. I would be out for most of the stay and so it was somewhere to lay my head. Rooms are dated but functional. Food was very good, I had a steak dinner and breakfast the next morning - both were very nice! My only complaint was that the room was very very hot and trying to cool it down was difficult. I had the window open wide from the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out because I turned the radiator off but it stayed hot.
Myself and the wife stayed here on Friday night with a total price of €125 for b&b 2 course evening meal and cocktails...I don't know how they're making money with this deal,it's for nothing. I can't fault the hotel at all.rooms are lovely, food was beautiful and the pints were great. From Ann on reception to pedro in the bar all the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend this place for a night away,we will definitely be back soon.
I've worked in the hospitality industry for years, have visited many hotels and have never come across more friendlier staff than the staff at Lansdowne hotel. From the woman at reception who went above and beyond her usual duties (even standing outside to get taxi's for other guests) and the accommodating bar staff who found us a table on a busy day and even ordered for us- we had a platter which was delicious and just what we needed! The hotel itself was nice and the rooms/ facilities were more than enough for our stay, with a little coffee shop outside in the carpark. I would definitely be coming back to this hotel in the future.
What a lovely hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely spacious room clean towels and tea and coffee facilities on both days. Great bar downstairs called the den of which you can sit in and enjoy your meal and few drinks. Ollie, Soairse, and Aga couldn't do enough for you thanks guys.. Lovely area out the back to relax as well. Could go on and on😊😊
I would like to say what a fabulous hotel and really is great to see such value for money. I stayed one night and found the staff to be extremely welcoming and couldn't do enough. From the minute I arrived a very nice manager Ollie I hope I have correct name helped me find parking and lovely lady on reception was so nice to deal with. I ate in the bar and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend and look forward to staying again. Well done great to see the warm Irish welcome in hospitality is alive and well. Regards
Lovely friendly Staff..No Lift so not ideal for families with buggys or wheelchairs, breakfast was ok, nothing fantastic but ok.we stayed the night of a rugby match so it was very noisy till 10pm which is expected at a rugby match date.. there was mould on the walls in the bathroom and windows are only single pane so u hear EVERY SINGLE thing outside..overall a nice hotel but with some updating, it could be far more superior
