After seeing all the bad reviews I was really worried about my choice of booking .
So was shocked to discover how perfect the hotel rooms and bar was .
Firstly location is 5 star a short taxi or bus ride from the airport and a few meters from all the coach stops .
And the hotel is Wright on the front of temple bar street many amazing restaurants close by . If you get the chance we found a great little place called smoking bones just behind the hotel.
Rooms We were on the top floor with a fanatic view of the river I was worried it would be nosy from the road but I actually heard nothing . Rooms on photos look much smaller than they actually are so again was pleasantly surprised the beds were really comfy and really clean in fact the whole hotel smells amazing. Breakfast was fresh and a few choice to choose from and the restaurant itself was lively with a great view of Dublin. Also staff were friendly and made to feel welcome .
The bar was lovely with live music and good atmosphere though the drinks are very expensive but I belive like all the bars on temple bar street are similar prices thet go up euro every hour I was told .
Woukd definitely come back to Dublin and would re book to stay here .

Hotel has a great location and the room we stayed in was spacious, overlooking the temple bar. There's an elevator. The bathroom was good, with a high shower. Cordial and solemn receptionists.
What I didn't have was a fridge bar. So for those who want to buy something that needs refrigeration, it will go tight. At night there is noise on the street until late. For those who bother with it, it can be a problem.

Lovely hotel in a great location right on the corner of Temple Bar. We stayed in room 312 which was a quad room and it was lovely big room. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom had a huge shower! Breakfast was included and it was lovely, great sized portions ready to set you up for day.

The hotel itself is not terrible, but not good either. The location is hard to beat with it being in the Temple Bar area of Dublin, but you could probably find something better nearby. The experience we had with staff and management was terrible.

The entire check-in process and key card system was an absolute nightmare. When we arrived the check-in process took roughly an hour and thirty minutes due to lack of trained staff and only one computer terminal at reception. Additionally, the key card given during check-in would deactivate daily which meant an additional twenty to forty minutes every night of waiting in line to be able to get back into our room. That was assuming the night receptionist would even buzz us in since the key card would not open the main door to the building reception anymore.

If that was not frustrating enough, the hot water boiler went out the last night we stayed here and reception had mentioned a partial refund for the inconvenience but said we would have to work with the credit card company that we booked the room through. This was just a tactic to avoid having to pay a partial refund and then give management the opportunity to dodge and ignore the requests after we had left. My credit card company spent a good two months trying to work with management to resolve the issue until management finally stopped stalling and just told us to take a hike. If you want a refund or reimbursement, do not leave without getting it! It is 2023, expecting to have something basic like hot water when you are paying decent money for a hotel room does not seem unreasonable. Hope the hotel staff, management and owner never experience this when they travel and if they do they are reimbursed for not receiving the full services they paid for.

We returned today, stayed 4 nights.
Upon arrival we are assigned a quadruple consisting of 2 double beds: long and narrow room with a window, a desk and a coat rack with 5 hangers. The room looks, like the entrance hallway, like a Youth Hostel, there is a strong smell of painting and, most seriously of all, it is on the first floor in front of a pub where they play from the early afternoon with a big nice speaker outside. We ask to change the room and we are told that it is not possible before two nights. They change the room (with the inconvenience of having to do and redo the check in) and we go up to the second floor: larger room always with 2 double beds and with the beauty of three windows overlooking the river, the room has a strong stench that, fortunately, passes after leaving all the windows open in the afternoon. Also this room is super noisy: it always overlooks the pub but, this is the problem that makes everything noisy, the hotel itself is in the building where there is their pub that has live music every night until 00.00 and from Thursday to Sunday at 2.30!!!!! what about? perfect for young people who tour the pubs and go to sleep at closing but for families: stay away!!! I do not give 1 just because all the guys at the reception were always polite and helpful, but the stay was bad........ last note: breakfast from 8.30 and this prevented us from having breakfast on the first day because we had excursion at 8.45 and the last day because we had to leave.

We arrived at the hotel and the staff were very welcoming. They allowed us to store our bags before embarking on our trip round Dublin. We came back after a few hours and the check in process was very easy.

We had a room on the top floor which was just next to the roof top bar of Fitzsimons Pub, this did not cause a problem as we could not hear anything when in the room.

The beds were very comfortable and there was ample space within the room. The bathroom was also spacious with a lovely walk in shower and we were provided with amenities.

A downfall was how hot the room was through the night, I woke up a few times to open the window and to cool down so I did have a slightly disrupted sleep.

It was well worth what we paid for the room, I would recommend giving this hotel a chance. Especially due to its location.

We stayed in this hotel for a 3 night winter break and had a fantastic time.
The hotel itself is in the perfect location. Its clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room itself was lovely, comfy bed, spacious and high up on the top floor giving you a great view. It also had surprisingly good sound insulation as Temple Bar is quite a lively spot, but we slept great.
There was a great restaurant and bar in the hotel with a lively atmosphere but we loved the roof terrace the most.
If you want to explore Dublin, you probably wouldn't find a better location. You are right on the river and practically in the centre of the city, about a 15 minute walk from most sights and attractions. You are also right in the heart of Temple bar, so all the best nightlife and restaurants are on your doorstep.
I'm hoping to comeback to Dublin next Autumn, and will definitely be staying here.

I had a lovely stay at Fitzsimons Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful when we checked in. Our room was clean and bright, with a view of the Liffey. The hotel is ideally located in the city, perfect for a city break. We also ate in the bar, the food was tasty and overall there was a great atmosphere. Definitely a great place to stay next time you’re visiting Dublin!

The location is perfect, just in a walking distance to most attractions. The staff was very helpful with everything. Breakfast is very good, you can enjoy some irish specialities and Diana is the perfect host for your breakfast. The room was clean and cleaned regurarly. The only negative point is the noise coming from the bar(s), but for turists visiting Dublin for fun this would not be a problem.
