My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights. There are pros and cons: Pro: -Friendly and helpful staff. Very informative on local sights. -We got to the hotel 5 hours before check in, and they stored our bags for us while we began our vacation. -Right in the heart of Temple Bar and walking distance to many attractions; Jameson, Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Guinness (kind of far, but doable). Cons: - This is no discredit to the hotel, but with being in the heart of Temple Bar, you will need to bring ear plugs to sleep well at night, as it gets noisy from the foot traffic on the street until 3-4 AM. - Beds are not comfortable. You lay on it and hit the hard box spring right away. - Showers are horrible. HORRIBLE. No water pressure at all. The only point where there's decent pressure is when the water is scolding hot. Speaking of the shower, the safety rail in the shower was falling out and barely secured. And the vent in the bathroom was falling out of the ceiling and not operating as well. So if you're looking for a great location, with fair rates, and don't care/need good amenities, this is for you.

We stayed here for 5 nights. It is in the heart of Dublin right on the Liffey and close to many attractions. The hotel is old and has been refurbished but the rooms are small with few amenities. The hallway to our room was narrow with unpainted places on the doors where they had replaced locks. The noise level was awful and loud music played until 1 or 2 in the morning and then the drunks made noise as they were leaving the bars. If you want to rest, this is not the place for you. We had booked early on and a few days before our check-in, I received an email informing us to cancel our booking if we could not confirm covid vaccination status. I was told this is illegal in Ireland but I think they were hoping we would cancel so they could rent the room at a higher rate due to the Garth Brooks concerts. One good thing is that there was a lock on the outer door so I assume it was relatively safe but we did have a room next to us where there were people trying to get in and there are no phones in the rooms to call the office. Would I stay there again? Absolutely not!!! The staff was unfriendly and the lobby, if you could call it that, was horrid.

after reading all the reviews we were surprised at how nice the hotel was.We had 2 rooms and both were spotless, bathroom clean with plenty of clean towels and toiletries.beds lovely and comfy.Agree the corridors are dated but you are only walking through them.Regarding the noise, the hotel is right in the middle of temple bar which is why we booked it,so if you want a quieter hotel book one further away.would definately book this hotel again

We traveled in and out of Dublin over our vacation and stayed at two other, comparably priced and similar location hotels and this was BY FAR the worst. The pictures are deceptive.....the rooms are old, shabby, threadbare carpets with cheap throw rugs, moldy, and overall gross. This hotel needed a reno twenty years ago when I worked here and it's only gotten worse. Our room had gum from previous folks stuck all around it. As others have mentioned, it's super antiquated to the point of being unsafe. The whole security deposit situation is a joke. The noise is basically like trying to sleep in one of the pubs in Temple Bar. We only stayed one night and that was enough. Someone needs to buy this hotel and make it decent.

Do not eat here, the service was shocking and so so slow, we waited to be seated for 3 minutes before even talking to a staff member, and it was not busy at all. The service was so slow we waited ages for drinks and even longer for food. The waiter did not understand the menu and couldn’t give gluten free options. The cocktails were €13.50 and not nice at all, extremely overpriced, the pornstar tasted like cough medicine. The food was alright, but at the prices they are I would expect much much better. Not one person came to check if we were ok or needed anything else, we went to the bar to ask for water and still waited for 5 minutes for 5 glasses of tap water. It would be some way understandable if it was busy, but the service let everything down. Seriously do not recommend.

Do not stay here. The music in the pubs didn’t stop until 3am and the people shouting outside didn’t stop until 5am by which time the street cleaner arrived to clean up the mess from the night before. The hotel is grubby and dirty! There was vomit stains at the sides of the beds. I could feel the springs in the mattress. The bath towels are the size of a hand towel. The “wardrobe” is just a big metal frame. The rooms are so shabby. They took our drivers license number off the both of us. They also required a 250 euro damage deposit from us. I found this to be quite belittling and demeaning. We were just a couple going to see a show nearby not a stag party. The worst part easily is that this hotel cost a lot of money. Even taking location into account it is not worth the money. When I got home after my night out I wanted to be able to sleep and that just wasn’t possible to achieve. I am embarrassed to think tourists are coming to stay in this hotel to see what the best Ireland has to offer because the hotel is shabby and over priced and the staff are not at all welcoming. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. I think they simply do not care!

We were prepared for the sound of the street outside, but what we were not prepared for was the loudness of the slamming doors and screaming from the cleaners in the morning. Cleaners were on our floor making loud noise for hours. Noise would be ok if hotel was cheap but we paid nearly €300 for one room. We were told when we arrived that breakfast was served until 12, which we had already paid for, but when we went to the restaurant at 11:30 we were told it was closed and there was nothing they could do. Staff at bar were nice about it at least. Be aware that a €100 deposit is required at check in, as we were not aware of that. Otherwise, reception staff were lovely and room was spacious and clean

On arrival to this hotel we were greeted by a very unwarming reception. Two rooms for our party were not ready at the given time. Attitude about that was awful. The decor of the hotel is dreadful. The bedroom makes a travel Lodge look like The Hilton. The mattress of one of the beds in our room was a lumpy as could be. The bath towels are like hand towels. But the worst part is that it is not double glazed and if you expect to have any sleep, Do Not stay here!! We might as well have slept in a bar as it was that noisy until 4am and then the road cleaner started , which sounded like a plane was going to crash into the hotel ! And it carried on for 2 hours! One of our party was bitten alive by bed bugs! The attitude of the manager was not accommodating. The place needs closing down. If you are not bothered about sleep or cleanliness don’t stay here!!!!!

I wouldn’t even let me dog sleep in this place. It is my hen party and they have ruined it. You will get no sleep at all. The staff are so rude and the rooms are a disgrace. The night club downstairs goes on till 3. With every drunk screaming outside your windows.

when we arrived to the property we were asked for a €250 payment which would be put on hold until check out to allow for any damages to the room! this charge was never previously advised anywhere or in any confirmation emails so we were completely unaware of this charge before arriving which meant a large sum of our spending money which we had planned for the trip was now going to be taken as a deposit which was very annoying! this morning when going down for breakfast we were told by the receptionist that we did not have breakfast included in our stay which I had specifically selected when booking ! I then had to bring up my booking via the booking.com app to prove we had this included! she then contacted booking.com who confirmed we did in fact have breakfast included and at that point we were seated for breakfast in the bar. the food was lovely and so was they very helpful waitress serving the food! The bedrooms were no where as described. They very very old, dark and outdated.
