I didn't actually stay at the Hotel at the end because my flights were keep changing and, unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip. Both Slawek and James were very helpful and understanding of the situation. I am not a person who leaves lots of reviews, but they definitely deserve a very good because of the empathy they showed and treated me in general. I am pretty sure I will book again with them once I reschedule my plan to Dublin! Thank you!
Staff were very friendly, location was good, room was well appointed and room service was efficient. Bed was comfortable too. Curtains could do with being replaced as just about covered the width of the window. Overall very good.
Excellent attention from the hotel workers, especially Alex, at the reception, who gives you the best tips for visiting the city. The facilities are comfortable but a bit cold. The location is excellent and very accessible to get to know the city on foot and by bus🙂
Breach of level 5 restrictions at Hotel St George 7 Pernell Square East. Di Dublin. I recently had to go to Dublin from Donegal for an eye exam and for my future eye surgery at the Mater hospital. I had to stay at a hotel in Dublin so I checked into the Hotel St George. They did not ask me for my proof that I was there for essential reason as required under level 5 restrictions. I told them that did have a letter of this proof that I was in fact there for medical reasons. They then told me that I did not need to show them my letter of proof and that I just needed to fill in a very short form stating why I was there. I then said don't you need proof that I'm staying at your hotel in compliance of level 5 restriction buy showing my letter of proof that I was there for essential reasons. The hotel then then said no they don't need this letter. I thought this was very strange and a clear violation of level 5 restrictions. To just fill in a short form is not proof that a person is essential. A person can lie on this form and say anything just to stay at this hotel. They should have had me show them my letter of proof that I was in fact there for essential reasons. I also witness the hotel not asking any one for proof that they were there for essential reason. It was very obvious they were letting anyone stay there for any reason. After reading numerous reviews from others that stayed at this hotel St Geroge during level 5 restrictions there was many people that were staying there during level 5 restriction that were not essential. Some of them was there from other countries just to tour Dublin. Others was there from other parts of Ireland for a getaway. This is another violation of covid 19 level 5 restriction by being more then 5 km from there home and the hotel was also allowing this violation. Also there was no safe distancing. And I there was only one of there employees wearing a face mask. I had a knock at my door and there was 2 of there employees there to clean the room not wearing a face mask. Hotel St George is putting lives at risk by failing to enforce level 5 covid 19 restrictions.…
So we stayed here Saturday night December 5th. So from the minute we walked in we were met with a very warm welcome. Front desk experienced was really good. Checked in no issues. Hotel was spotless from what I seen. The room itself spotless. Beds were very comfortable and had a great sleep. The character of the hotel was lovely. It dose need some decor updating but that is very minor. Situated so close to the city center it was perfect. Staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful with everything.
