If you like big hotels with lots of American guests, Kilronan House is not for you. Filled with visitors from many countries, it's a small hotel in a beautiful Georgian building that has been recently remodeled. Our room was small but manageable, and the bathroom was large and completely modernized. Breakfasts were terrific, staff couldn't have been nicer and the location is great -- near St. Stephen's Green. We had made our reservations almost six months in advance, so we enjoyed a "bargain" price compared to other places to stay in Dublin.
Our travel agent had booked us a room at the Conrad down the street, but because the room rate was so expensive, we decided to seek out alternatives. My wife discovered that the Kilronan was nearby and also rated very highly, so we booked it. And, are we glad that we did. The room that we were given was recently and very professionally renovated in a modern design. It was also very clean. The breakfast included everything one could imagine, and was also delicious. The service provided here was better than we have seen anywhere. I would rank this as one of the top three B and B's that we have ever stayed at worldwide.
Normally if I visit Dublin I would have preferred to stay in a hotel but following my visit this weekend where I stayed at kilronan house B&B I can only say wow. This place is better than any hotel I've stayed in. The choice of food available for breakfast was just unbelievable, freshly cooked to order, the staff were so helpful and bed was very very comfortable. This B&B should be a five star plus
I recently stayed one night at the Kilronan House when I was in Dublin. I found this house on the internet when I was planning my trip to Ireland, and I want to say that I'm so glad that I chose to stay here. The man in charge, Romi, was very helpful in email conversations prior to my trip, and once I was in Ireland, he remained just as helpful! He ordered cabs for me and was available to answer questions for me anytime I needed help. I had a wonderful sleep at the Kilronan House, and I was so grateful for that since I had just arrived from Los Angeles and needed a good sleep after a long flight. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, and the waiter in the breakfast room did a wonderful job serving so many people all at once! The Kilronan House is charming and is in walking distance to St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street. It was the perfect place to stay since I only had one day in Dublin, and I wanted to spend time in Dublin before departing on a train to Tralee. I definitely recommend the Kilronan House to anyone who wants to stay in a charming home with very kind and helpful people ... and also in walking distance to the City Centre of Dublin.…
A very warm and gourgeous house !!!! And the breakfast fabulous 😍 My husband and I want to thank you for your hospitality and your kindness 😊 Thank you very much for all, we can't wait to come back!
We recently stayed two nights, great location, very comfortable room and bed. The bathroom looked really new, spotless and spacious. Romy and Gabriel , efficient and friendly, most welcoming. We recommend this as a base for exploring Dublin, thank you very much for taking such good care of us during our stay. We had requested not too many stairs so the first floor room was ideal.
We recently spent 3 nights here. A lovely choice if staying in Dublin, great location on a quiet street, close to Stephen Sq and you can get you to the shopping district Grafton Rd, within minutes. Our room was nicely decorated, with nice treatments such as built-in shelves, carpet, lovely comforters, a great bed, and a hot rain shower. A few things to note: depending on the floor there are stairs to climb and as with most B&Bs in Ireland, no AC, so depending on when you visit it may be very hot in your room. Now to the breakfast, a highlight of the stay, they know what they are doing; there are many great options. The staff was very accommodating to our needs.
My husband and I left this morning after two nights. The service was impeccable, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a double room, which was beautifully decorated. The bathrooms have been redone recently and the shower was incredible! Breakfast was a choice of items for both starters and mains, and it was delicious. We are coffee drinkers but, of course, they had tea as well. A choice of apple or orange juice was offered. I would highly recommend Kilronan House - it’s a very short walk to St. Stephen’s Green.
Sometimes you just feel like you hit the B&B jackpot and that's the feeling Romy and Gabriel gave me throughout our two night stay. From the minute I walked in the door until the moment I left, I was pinching myself. Romy's greeting was so warm and friendly, my room was spotlessly clean and I would cheerfully have purchased a ten pound bag of the homemade granola served at breakfast if it was for sale and I wasn't flying home on Ryanair. Gabriel lit a lovely fire in the sitting room in the evening and surprised us with delicious, complimentary Irish coffees! Hospitality doesn't get much better. Thank you very much Romy and Gabriel for making our stay at Kilronan House such a pleasure. Kathy
Stay here for 3 nights in early April. I'd stay here again. When we pulled up, wasn't sure I'd be rating this a 5; after 3 days there it certainly is (with a shout out to the great staff. I found this hotel on TripAdvisor and was drawn to it by the location, the price, the complementary parking and the complementary breakfast. The breakfasts exceeded my expectations. All prepared to order by someone on site. Several choices (at the time Irish breakfast, Omelet Pancakes, eggs and smoked salmon) in addition to yogurt, toast, coffee/tea/juice). Just wonderful. The location is great. Can walk to St. Patricks/Dublin Castle/etc. Also great access to public transportation. Parking is very hard to find in Dublin, but they were able to park my car in their ally. Didn't need the car for the days I was there, but when it was time to head to the airport, the car was ready. The staff went over and above. Was able to get an extra set of towels, and when they found out we were going to miss breakfast on the last day (early flight), they made us a really nice "to go" breakfast. Wonderful job. The rooms are like most 2 person rooms in Europe. This one was clean and comfortable. It would sleep two, but no more. The WIFI was good enough to do the on-line covid test to return to the USA.…
