Great location, lovely staff l, nice rooms with great beds! One of the best full breakfasts I’ve had, my judge is how good are the poached eggs - perfect! Would 100% stay again. Open bar, with a great garden. The bathrooms are a tad small but that’s very minor.
We stayed in this hotel over the Christmas period. The location was the number one draw as it’s a stones throw from Grafton Street looking into Stephens Green. I was blown away by how stunning the building is from the moment you stand on the steps. You can see the beautiful Georgian architecture . The staff were very friendly and it was a speedy check in. We stayed in a superior room and it was beautiful with original features including ceiling rose , fireplace and chandeliers . The room was huge and bed was very comfortable . We had a sitting area in front of the television , wardrobe and Nespresso machine / tea and coffee supplies . I have no faults about our stay and the price was extremely reasonable for the luxury of the stay . We would highly recommend .
Stayed for one night with my Mum to attend a concert in 3Arena. Being from Dublin I can’t believe I haven’t discovered this gem of a hotel before now. The location is second to none. The staff were so engaged, warm and welcoming. The room was beyond fabulous. The breakfast was first class. I loved everything about this hotel. I’ve stayed in top Dublin hotels, one opposite this establishment, and none of them hold a candle to Stauntons. I will be returning, again and again.
If it was all about location this hotel would be 6 stars. Can't get much better. Everything seemed to be within 15 mins walk! It's three townhouses and an annex at the rear. We stayed for a long weekend (3 nights) Our room, (#1) was, unfortunately, directly beneath reception which meant that there was obvious upstairs 'movement' from the early morning. The room itself was large and warm with tea and coffee facilities and water provided. Comfortable bed. ~Shower was a rain with hand held shower and plenty of warm/hot water. The basin hot water never seemed to get really hot. Strong wifi signal and decent speed. Additional shelves in the bathroom would have been nice as there is hardly any room to place stuff. There is plenty of space for more shelves. Only one suitcase stand provided so the second suitcase need to be balanced on a chair. Breakfast was excellent and the 'last minute pre 10am close' rush was well managed. Staff all polite and friendly. They had a pipe burst in the basement adjacent to our room on the Saturday night. This didn't really affect us (the water stopped about 2ft from our door), but did cause them a lot of hassle. We thought it was well managed. A different room may well have moved this rating to 5*…
Absolute gem of an hotel, we came to watch Ireland play Australia and decided to book a nice hotel for once (we usually go Air bnb) my partner saw this and was impressed with the pic and reviews, we were greeted warmly and even though we were very early they took out bags and would put them in our room. The room was absolutely awesome, superb bed, so comfy they we didn't want to get up lol, the shower was amazing too. A nice gift of dark chocolate and a candle was an excellent suprise. If you stay here you must have the breakfast, it is sooooo good.....the choice is great, I recommend the omelette with bacon.....just saying 😊. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere too and the staff are very professional but amazingly friendly. Great location and close to pretty much everything, we had a great view over the park. We will be back 🥰…
There is a great deal to see and do within walking distance. There are many restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby. There is shopping district right across the park. The room was very comfortable. The room had a great shower. The staff were very helpful. I would definitely book this hotel again.
We stayed at the hotel with a 2-year old toddler. AND we had a wonderful time from the moment we arrived to when we left. The room was very spacious with beautiful high ceiling and large windows with a view on the inner garden. Beds were really comfortable (two double beds), spotless room and even a bar of dark chocolate there waiting for us. I have stayed in several places in Dublin, but this one is outstanding and I think I won't stay anywhere else. Plus, the staff was really kind and helpful and we had time to chat and patient with us when our VERY active 2-year old. So, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It is elegant and comfy and the breakfast is just WOW!
I have just had the most wonderful stay at Stauntons on the Green, Hotel in Dublin. It was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was comfortable and spacious with a kettle, bottles of water, tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. There was a great shower and fantastically comfortable beds and bed linen. The Irish breakfast was delicious! There was fresh fruit and yoghurt to start and then a full breakfast! Fantastic. The hotel staff were all welcoming, friendly and so professional. The restaurant staff were particularly attentive and could not do enough to make our stay special. The location is perfect too. I highly recommend this Dublin hotel and look forward to another visit there.
I have been dealing with Stauntons on the Green for the last few years for accommodation in Dublin, both in a personal and business capacity. They have always been extremely helpful and accommodating. Their location is exceptional for a stay in Dublin. The staff, Pierce in particular, has always been courteous, helpful and professional. He always comes on in a friendly manner and even though he may not have capacity to fit us in, you come off the phone knowing that he has done his best. I cannot recommend them highly enough. It is our first port of call when travelling to Dublin and I cannot see that changing. Yvonne Fenlon
Our second visit to Stauntons and we stayed in one of the townhouses overlooking the garden. Excellent service, staff very accommodating and a superb breakfast. Would not hesitate in recommending this lovely hotel.
