The rooms themselves are nothing to get excited about and need modernization. In particular, the windows could use a replacement, as they were clearly quite old, which made it rather cold at night. The room cleaning was adequate and what you would expect.
We recommend trying the hotel's ground floor bar, "Vat House Bar," especially on nights with live music.
Con: Some of the equipment in the rooms is a bit dated. The need to swipe the room card even at the corridor before the room seemed a bit excessive. There is a certain level of noise - not much one can do there I suppose.

Walkability
All key spots are in walking distance. For arriving there take the Aircoach till O'Connell Bridge and then it is about 10 min walk to the Hotel. The stop to return to the airport is 250 m away.
Food & drinks
The Hotel own Restaurant is nice. Breakfast is 10 Euro per Person in the Hotel if you choose continental option. Outside dining recommendation: O'Shea Restaurant 150m away. Italian-run Irish restaurant with great food and unbelievable great prices.
Hotel highlights
Great value

The bathroom is obscene
The shower curtain floods the bathroom
The towels are not clean, they folded a towel with brown stains and stains
The sign with “clean my room” means make the bed and stop
The hairdryer is located under the desk with a short cord that cannot be pulled much
For the excessive price it is absolutely not worth it

The bar area was beautiful and had live music and the food was great. The staff were all friendly and checked for id when returning back to the hotel very late. The only thing I would like to say is that it advised a nightclub which I was very excited about but learnt it was closed down upon arriving I think this information needs changing on the website as it’s not open and is false information. Thank you blooms hotel I would stay here again as it’s really central to temple bar area and great for stumbling home after a night out with not to far to go.

Indeed the neighborhood is noisy but this is what makes Temple Bar rich. The staff is very welcoming and even offers luggage storage to leave your suitcase.
Pension is perfectly located in Temple Bar we did not take the bus of the stay we did everything on foot.
I recommend if you are looking for a place to sleep in central Dublin.

On arrival the reception lady was difficult to understand due to her continental accent
Totally disgusting was the €50 deposit charged on arrival this is not advertised
My first impression of the hotel was that it was clean and tidy but there was no atmosphere
The room on the 4th floor was small with a double and a single bed squeezed in
TV remote dead and TV at a wierd angle.
Bath chipped and plughole and taps need cleaning, toilet seat loose
Tea coffee provided but for a hotel room costing €188 a night I thought biscuits would have been provided and milk was off
No air con so window had to be kept open meaning got no sleep due to noise of people and street cleaning outside
Adjoining restaurant ok food ok but expensive €10 a pint of beer live music boring
Breakfast on first floor overcooked and dried out
Good thing the hotel location. In the middle of shops and temple bar.
Would not recommend unless desperate
