Staff were good but guests were a pain in the ass shouting and partying in the hallway from 2am till 5:30am no pubs open so they must have got the drink in the hotel???? I definitely won’t stay there again
Hotel location is great BUT it’s NOISY! You can hear party people everywhere. You can’t get good sleep! Maybe if your room is on the backside of the hotel and not Harcourt street side it might be less noisy. Although the walls are very thin so you need quiet neighbors. The bed is hard and room is outdated. The staff was very nice and accommodating though. Not coming back to this hotel unless I go there to party.
Booked this hotel for a couples shopping weekend away . The room was out dated and we were on the ground floor with our window facing the street . On the 1st night there was a battery or something bleeping in a locked store beside the room . The noise from the street was crazy, music , hooting horns , people roaring and that dying battery . No sleep had . The 2nd night was worse , louder music , police sirens , roaring & then other guests kicking our door laughing ., a tour gathered outside our room at 7am , they were not quite. I found 2 pairs of ear plugs in the drawer that morning. A bit late . I think we should have been informed at least . If you are booked in and get offered the Fabian suite DO NOT TAKE
We only stayed one night on the way out of the country. The staff were very friendly and the rooms are nice. The website says there "could" be noise, change that to "there will definitely be noise" and then make your decision. One of the consequences of being in a good location means noise will be around but this location has a club on the premises which makes it a little more intense. However, the tram and bus are right around the corner so it's very convenient. If you stay here do NOT take room 602 (or any of the 600 rooms), you will not sleep at all.
We were welcomed by friendly reception staff and checkin was easy. The hotel is outdated but clean. Walls are thin, we could hear conversation in the next room and some very loud guests in the floor above kept us awake for hours. Bathroom was sooo freezing, not sure if the window was sealing properly. We sat in the bar while waiting to check in and didn’t realise until after we bought drinks they must have been about to close as the staff just started cleaning around us, blocked off the doors and made us feel quite uncomfortable, we’d have rather they just didn’t serve us in the first place. Location is good - easy walk into st. Stephens green area and temple bar isn’t far. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
